Our experience with Flooring FX was great. I almost felt like Bobbi in the office, and Marcus, the owner became like friends. We had them come out to give us an estimate in our out of the way home in Camp Meeker back in September. We weren't in a hurry, but that gave us plenty of time to look at different options.... hardwood was what we wanted for our stairs, and downstairs bathrooms and foyer. But, we have some weird patches in the floor, and so Marcus recommended luxury vinyl plank from Coretec. It looks just like hardwood, but costs half the price. The team worked around our schedule to get the floors and stairs installed at the end of November/beginning of December. They were all very professional, and super helpful. We recently purchased what some would consider a "fixer" house in Healdsburg. The house is over 50 years old and was not properly maintained throughout the years. I'm really happy with my decision to use Flooring FX to refurbish my hardwood floors in my house. I didn't have any personal recommendations to go with so I went Yelping and found a couple contractors to come and take a look at the job. I had a lot of confidence in Marcus and his approach. I had a tight timeline to work with between the closing of the house and our move-in date and he made sure we hit the dates we needed to and even finished early. He pulled up the carpets in two rooms, repaired a lot of nicks and abrasions, screened and coated the whole house and was out in less than two days. The floors are 60 years old and previously not well maintained but they look great. Marcus was totally hands on, texting me pictures throughout the process so I could know what was going on while I was at work. He really went above and beyond. LOOK NO FURTHER! Marcus and his team are amazing. We had recently removed a couple of walls in our living room and needed the hardwood floors patched where the walls had been. We also wanted to add hardwood to the kitchen and lighten up the color of the original hardwood throughout the entire first floor. Flooring FX was able to advise me on the floors long before installation began which allowed us have a floor without any transitions and a heated section of floor as well. The installation process left minor scratch marks on most of the floor planks in two rooms which was not noticed until after the installation was complete. It turned out that their was a defect on the nail gun that was causing the damage. Owner Marcus Myres figured out what had happened and told me he would make it right. They ended up ripping out the flooring the two rooms with the minor scratch marks and replacing all the flooring material with his own dime. My wife and I decided to replace all the old linoleum and carpet in our downstairs and we are so happy that we found Flooring FX. When we started, we really had no idea what kind of floor we wanted to use so it was great to be able to set up a visit to the shop and look at all the different types of floor. We decided to have our floors done during a week that we were gone on vacation. They finished right on time, maybe even a little early, and when we got home from our vacation, we were amazed at how beautiful the floors looked and how clean everything in our house was. First of all, Marcus picked up the phone right awawy. I'm working with all sorts of contractors for our kitchen remodel, and I've found out how hard it is to find someone who picks up the phone! We recently noticed many of the floor boards have fanned out at the edges and catch our feet when walking barefoot or with socks. Not sure if it is an issue of over sanding when they refinished the wood floors, but for the money spent on refinishing them, I don't think this should be happening. He quickly apologized , and said he was buying a new car. Upon arrival, he was very pleasant and friendly, but asked about other estimates and trash talked about the other contractors.
