As many folks hopefully do prior to embarking on a daunting project like hardwood floor refinishing…read morethroughout their home, we scoured online reviews to learn more about vendor options. We then met with several...ultimately choosing Cummings Hardwood Flooring. As I begin to write this review, I glance back over the earlier reviews (2020-2023) we originally found for this company...and can honestly say...NOTHING HAS CHANGED since those earlier postings. Our original meeting with Andy to obtain an estimate was refreshing (inclusive, respectful and knowledge-sharing). His team, as promised, arrived when he said they would. They were exceedingly respectful of the fact that I work from home (and wore earbuds rather than blaring a boom box and shouting). They seemed very organized, worked well together, and cleaned as they went. They completed the project in less time than estimated ("because Mike was on the job..."). Their style and workmanship are clearly deserving of a 5* rating...and we would highly recommend Andy and his team at Cummings Hardwood Flooring and use them again. The only thing we would encourage folks embarking on this type of project to do is invest the time to learn as much as you can about wood, textures, styles, colors, etc. The end product on our floors was much lighter - both in color and in finish - than anticipated. From our perspective it would have been helpful to have seen some type of color/finish samples to better understand the nature and results of the work being proposed. Clearly our bad...not theirs!! :)liz and alan

We had a great experience with Simply Floors for the new gym flooring in our basement remodel. They…read morewere on time, professional, and easy to work with from start to finish. They provided us with several gym flooring options and took the time to explain the differences between them. They were especially knowledgeable when it came to the challenges of leveling our basement floor and clearly explained the different options for preparing and leveling the floor before installing the gym flooring. Their expertise made the process and decision-making much easier. The finished gym floor looks great, and we're very happy with the results. The entire process was smooth, and the team did a great job. We would definitely recommend Simply Floors to anyone looking for quality flooring and a knowledgeable, professional team!

This is a follow-up to previous entries regarding the deteriorating (extra expensive) carpet I got…read morein November 2025. After connecting with Simply Floors early 2026 because of the shredding carpet and after a couple of inspections and coordination with the manufacturer of the carpet, I now have the replacement installed (June 1, 2026). The installation was a good process this time and the carpet will most likely hold up very well. Good installation, done within a reasonable time frame and confirmation of details beforehand was achieved. Would have given 5 stars if this was how it went in the beginning. Although I wouldn't recommend one company over another, I would recommend solid communication with all involved, especially with the install crew and company together so everyone is on the same page from the beginning and not just futile lip service. Follow-up inquiries are also important. Would I work with this company again---probably, since they came through with corrections.

Having hardwood floors is wonderful except when they have to be refinished. We put it off as long…read moreas we could and then began our search. We vetted several companies and decided to go with ASA Flooring for several reasons: 1) Responsiveness. Bryan was quick to get back to my inquiry and was at the house to assess the project within a day. 2) Knowledgeable. Our refrigerator had leaked and warped several boards. Bryan explained the pros and cons of board replacement vs letting the boards dry out. We went with the latter and saved money. We had another challenge in the fact that we did not have two rooms refinished which meant seamless color matching. Alfredo was an artist and had an eye for selecting the perfect match. Although the final decision was ours, his experience was a definite help. 3) Efficient. The whole process from start to finish only took three days. We used the opportunity for a little vacation in the mountains and came home to beautiful floors! 4) Professional. Kevin, the project manager, came the weekend before to assess the job site and answer any questions. Alberto hung plastic and taped off the areas to reduce dust and vacuumed any remaining dust before the final coat. It was nearly dust free! 5) Follow up: Kevin did the final walk through with us to make sure we were satisfied. I'd highly recommend ASA Flooring for your next hardwood floor project!

It has been two years now since they installed a luxury laminate tile floor in my kitchen and it is…read morenot lasting. I asked for it to be glued down, tiles selected had instructions for gluing but they were not followed. I was not told during the project the installer was not gluing them down per instructions until the project was done. I am now having to consider replacing it since the floor pops and snaps when we walk on it. I also just discovered that when the trim they removed was replaced the caulk used was kitchen caulk (not paintable) so I had to scrape it off and redo it.

Overall, pretty great. Some areas could've been executed better than others. The main issue I have…read moreis that the amount of glue that still remains on the floor has been tedious to remove. I still haven't gotten around to all of it just because there are so many patches of glue on the flooring that they installed. It does come off, but it's just labor intensive. I wish they would've cleaned it a lot better after the flooring had been set and dried.

I would not recommend this company…read more I chose them because the scope I discussed with the account manager included replacing my flooring and installing a new vanity I had already purchased. I verbally confirmed that scope with the account manager and paid an invoice that included a line item for that portion of the work. Despite that, the installer arrived without all of the necessary materials and informed me he was not comfortable installing the vanity. To be clear, I have no issue with the installer declining work he wasn't comfortable performing. What I do have an issue with is being told afterward that vanity installation was never included, despite it being discussed with the account manager and being a major reason I selected this company over other bids. The installer himself encouraged me to request a refund for that portion of the project, but the company only provided a partial refund ($180). As a result, I am left with an unfinished project, a sink currently being held up by a 2x4, and the need to hire a second contractor to complete the work. What should have been a straightforward bathroom update has turned into a major headache. By the time the project is finally finished, I will have spent significantly more than the original quote, despite choosing this company because I believed they would handle the full scope of work from start to finish.

The house is 115 years old and I don't know if they had ever been refinished. The floors were in terrible condition and Wood Wise was able to bring them back to life. Working with the crew was delightful. CJ (owner) was able to schedule the work into the only 4 day period we had available. Although CJ was out of town during those 4 days, his supervisor, Leo, did an excellent coordinating all of the different phases of the job. I highly recommend Wood Wise.

The project manager CJ was frequently surprised by items in the quote and invoice, for example, we paid for stain for the new flooring install and he had forgotten entirely when they went to install and finish the floors. Additionally he quote and tried to charge us for more trim and a taller trim size than was used. Woodwise left the job completely unfinished, there were knots in the floor that weren't filled correctly and it took three weeks to get them to come back to finish it - meaning we could not put our furniture back for over a month. Additionally their finishing work was embarrassing. They put nearly a half inch of caulk in between quarter round and the wall because it was too short. This happened in multiple places around our kitchen, leaving us to fix work that looks like a "landlord special". We'll be very clear to our friends, neighbors and our workplace that this company should be avoided at all costs.
