Jacob was the one who helped me, and he was so patient and helpful. He was very down to earth, explained everything in layman's terms, and spoke to me like a friend rather than talking down to me. In an industry that is primarily male, I've often felt dismissed or spoken down to, which can be incredibly frustrating. Jacob treated me with respect and like a person, which I truly appreciated. Jacob also helped me choose the flooring, and the process was surprisingly easy. I told him I wanted a light-colored floor, and he selected three options that closely matched what I had in mind. It was such a relief not to sift through endless samples, which can be very overwhelming. I was able to make a decision quickly, and the end result was perfect. I absolutely love how it turned out.

Most flooring is ordered by Kingsly and either delivered to Kingsly or truck to your location for a few hundred dollars. We purchased 40 cartons of Brazilian Cherry and had it delivered to our home. The guys in the truck were nice enough to unload them into our garage as each carton weighs 50 lb Gave them a nice tip. Normally it's tailgate service meaning they pull up and you take the stuff off the truck. Kingsly also custom makes their own nosing for stairs. It's 80 bucks for a strip, the strips are pretty long. We spent about $9000. Either you or your flooring company should measure carefully when ordering. Our cartons contained 29 sq ft. Because if you buy too much they won't take back less than 100 sq ft and charge a hefty percent restocking fee.

The flooring is peeling throughout the house, including at the edge of our stairs, which is both disappointing and concerning. When I noticed the damage, I searched online and saw that the same product, Los Angeles Collection, Hancock Park was still listed on their website. I called ahead to confirm availability, and the sales associate told me they had 100 pieces in stock. Based on that, I went into the store and purchased two pieces. After the purchase, I was told the product wasn't in that warehouse and I would need to wait 30 minutes while they checked another location. Thirty minutes later, I was then told the item was discontinued and no longer available anywhere. This was incredibly frustrating, especially since the product is still listed on their website and still shows as in stock in their system, which is how I was able to purchase it in the first place. Even the sales associate was unaware it had been discontinued. Long story short: the product quality is poor, and even more troubling is the lack of organization, communication, and accuracy in their inventory and business practices. This was a huge investment for our home, and the experience has been nothing but disappointing. I would strongly recommend staying far away. There are far better alternatives out there. Just like last time, they kept emphasizing that their warranty doesn't cover reinstallation costs, and acted like reordering a new shade for me was already some kind of huge favor. They completely ignored the real issue: the shade they reinstalled a few months ago broke on the same day, and the one installed most recently stopped holding its position within a month. When I expressed my disappointment, their response was literally, "Hope you feel comfortable with other brands." What is wrong with this company? To new homeowners who think "expensive" automatically means "high quality": I strongly suggest doing more research. There are plenty of high-quality, reasonably priced shades on the market these days--you don't have to overpay just to end up dealing with terrible service like this.
