It was barely used and was in excellent condition, but for some odd reason the cushion was sinking. I figured, if I got it reupholstered to the color of my choice and had the cushion replaced, it would be good as new. I took to my handy dandy Yelp app and did a search and Mill End popped up. I'm familiar with the shop, since a family member worked there years ago, but I had no clue they did this type of work. I gave them a call and was told to bring in a picture to evaluate the chair because they didn't want me to be without my chair for a long time. Well, I thought bringing in the chair itself would be easier, since I wasn't in a hurry for it. I was greeted by a very knowledgeable staff member who gushed about how beautiful the chair was. She did an evaluation of what would be needed to repair and reupholster it and then showed me the fabrics that were available in the color I selected. They have a large variety of fabrics on-sight in the store, but they do have options that can be ordered. The one I selected was on-sight. We agreed upon the estimated price, I filled out some paperwork and I was out the door. It was literally that quick and simple. Since they have a pretty extensive client list waiting for their projects before me, my estimated date for the chair to be completed was about 2 months or so. To my surprise, I was called about a month later informing me that my chair was ready. I arrived and was extremely pleased with my brand new chair. The workmanship was beautifully done and the cushion they replaced was perfectly placed. They did such a phenomenal job, my parents wanted their chair back. Lol! Not on my watch! Yes, Mill End is a bit pricey, but so worth it! They're truly professionals. I'm planning to get my dinning room chairs reupholstered in the near future, so I made sure to get an estimate while I was there. I'll absolutely be back in the near future.

Writing this after my 2nd follow up call with ServeCo who handles claims for damaged furniture…read morepurchased at Gavigans. I picked up my dining table on May 2nd and while assembling I noticed the paint job was not complete and the under areas finish was not complete and can cause scratches to your skin. The table itself had a huge chip that at a minimum should have been caught at packaging. I filed my claim on May 4 and they got back to me with a link to upload photos on May 5. I did that and called on May 6 to verify the upload was complete. Now after calling on May 13 and them saying someone will reach out in 24 hrs and calling again 48 hrs later and now someone will get back to me in 3 business days how is this reassuring. I absolutely love the piece but I am so disappointed with this purchase and not totally regretting it. I wonder how many folks have had this kind of response to a claim. I will be calling again next week and keep posting updated reviews of this process. Apologies I'm so angry I selected the Glen Burnie store but the purchase was at the Baltimore National Pike store

After a couple of months I called again, the couch was lumpy, the same serviceman, same result. I called the Sofa Store talked to the store manage, I told her I was not satisfied with the couch and wanted to return it. They offered me a 20% discount on a new couch. The Sofa Store sells couches, I paid $2000 for a couch that was junk and they would do nothing about it. I would not recommend them or their products.

Yes, I was looking for something in particular, but no I don't need you to watch me and give me input on every little thing. Anyway, I was very underwhelmed by their couches on display, they are all out dated looking and just ugly. The store is also huge and everything is spread out, it seemed empty or at least lacking personality or decoration, or something . Maybe that's because of covid and lack of supply? Idk, but again everything was super traditional, not my style at all. Overall I was very turned off by the sales approach and would not return.
