Date of service: 6/15 Location: Laguna Woods (Rental Property) Item: Replacing the original GE PTAC A/C unit with the equivalent new product Quote obtained: 4 vendors All 4 companies quoted me for an identical product. One of the vendors quoted [NEARLY 4 TIMES HIGHER] pricing than everyone else (?!!!!), another vendor tried to charge for the permit that was not even needed, another two appeared to be honest. Flood Air is one of those two vendors. Michelle was caring, sincere, knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to work with. She prioritized the installation schedule since my tenant is a disabled elderly and So Cal hot weather without A/C can be devastating to her health. She was true to her word -- installation was completed by the noon next day. My tenant was so happy with the product and service provided by Flood Air, she sent me a picture of the new unit with a "thank you." I highly recommend Flood Air. read more

Asked techs to leave, they were just guessing at what the problem was when they started to take the flu apart. That when i said it does not seem like you know what you are doing and the tech says, we can just leave, if you want. I said yes, it is time for you to go. But i want everything reconnected, they said no problem. After they left i went to check on things and found the thermostat wires were left disconnected. Called FloodAir to ask them to come back to connect thermostat and she refused to send anyone back to reconnect the thermostat. When I call for service, I expect experts and professional technicians and office personnel. Never again with this company. read more

Honest. Did not charge me for simple repair (did not expect this). Continued to have problems with pilot which kept going out so I used Flood Air to repair it. Price was fair and problem was resolved on short notice. Used flood air again for workplace and the replaced condenser on the commercial unit at fair price. Again, showed up on short notice and fixed problem. Happy with service read more

After being stood up all day by another AC contractor I called Flood Air who was recommend by a family friend. An appointment was made for Friday July 13 at 6:00 am. I was informed that the service call was $100.00. I believe the technician was Jeremy. He was a few minutes late but I was alright with that. First thing he checked was the capacitor which was not working. He told me $250.00 and he would have my AC fixed. He went to his truck and got the part and when installed that was not the problem. He needed to go back to his truck to get some additional equipment to check further on what the AC problem was. While he was at his truck I quickly checked the part online and found that he was charging me $150.00 for a $5.35. I confronted him about this and there were numerous excuses as to why they could 2803% up-charge. Long story short he told me I also needed a new compressor. I paid him $250 but later received a call from Jessica and she said Jeremy overcharged me and it would be less. I was told that I would be getting a call from Stacey for a quote to fix my unit. I never heard back from her on Friday or over the weekend. On Monday July 16 I called their office shortly after 8:00 am and spoke to Jessica. I told her I had not heard back from Stacey. I also asked her to tell Stacey to provide not only with a quote for fixing the unit but for a new unit. She assured me that Stacey would call. Well ladies and gents it is now Saturday afternoon July 21 and I have never heard back from anyone at Flood Air. Yes, they tried to pull a fast one on me and were caught in the act. However, I did call them asking for a quote and nothing. Business must be great if you don't get back to someone requesting a quote. I would recommend you stay away from Flood Air and find another AC contractor to use. read more

I absolutely HAD to provide a review for the services I received last week from Eugene and his team at Flood Air! I was referred by a trusted friend when my A/C decided to break down and stop working in the middle of this heat wave we've had recently. I went through an inexpensive Handyman service first, to try and save some money as a single Mom. Unfortunately, that ended in disaster so I called this HVAC specialist and spoke to Eugene ( in a bit of a panic I must admit). He was kind, patient and sympathetic to my situation and squeezed me in the SAME DAY. Eugene and his team were out to my home within 2 hours and didn't stop until they diagnosed and repaired my old A/C unit! They had solid communication and provided me with a GREAT deal on cost, understanding how much I'd been through already. My A/C has been working excellent since then. I would recommend Flood Air to any and all who are having problems in this area. read more

I'm moving and I just saw the bill from flood air from July 2018 in the middle of a heat wave. They came and installed a $800 HVAC unit for $1500. Spent an hour here. Shortly there after the item made all kinds of racket at times because it was not properly seated. When I called them I was told to call Amana as they were the one warranting it. I'm looking at the bill and they claim to offer one year labor. Next to useless. Overcharged and under serviced. read more

Installed a TWO POLE 40 AMP circuit breaker. At my house less than 1 hour. Charged over $400.00

I LOVED using Flood Air! I had great service and the office girl was very sweet when answering my many questions. The service technician that came to my house was very respectful of my personal property and he finished the job efficiently and it was affordable. Not to mention he actually cleaned up his mess and didn't leave crap everywhere like most other service companies. I will be using them in the future to maintain my AC system to ensure it last as long as possible. I am also going to have them service my moms house as well in the next few weeks. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMAPANY!!! read more

My Carrier A/C was installed by Flood Air nine years ago, and it worked just great until recently when another company (Advanced Duct Cleaning) came to clean my ducts and did not re-install the fan in my attic correctly. I called Flood Air since they did the original install nine years ago. Eugene from Flood Air had my system back running perfectly in no time at all (turns out I have a three wire A/C and the duct cleaning folks only re-connected two of the three wires). Eugene charged me far less than I expected for the service call. I'm a totally satisfied customer, and will not hesitate to recommend Eugene and his team at Flood Air! read more

We lived in MV and my compressor blew up when it was 104 degrees out! Most companies were slammed and wouldn't answer my call. Eugene and his crew came out right away, we needed to get a new compressor which would take a few days (it was a Sat) so he actually had another truck drop off a high powered Mobile air unit to keep us cool for a few days until the unit (he got for a huge discount ) showed up. What a great company. Flood Air saved us during these hot and humid days. Our a/c had failed completely and was convinced that the system probably needed to be updated. I was very impressed to see how professional and quick they where to solve the problem. I was even more impressed by how reasonable the price was. They made my wife and therefor me very happy. It's so nice to see that non corporate "CARING COMPANIES" still exist. I will recommend this company to all I know. Thanks Flood Air. read more

I don't often place reviews, but this one is just too good. Six months ago, Flood Air, Inc. installed an all-new A/C and Heating system, and it was a great experience. Yesterday, I needed their advice/assistance on a matter having to do with our wall thermostat which we damaged. Eugene came over to our home in the middle of a busy schedule and put in about two hours rectifying a problem which was not their responsibility to fix. He refused to charge us! The character and service offering from this man and his company was exemplary. If you're looking for SERVICE, then Flood Air, Inc. is the company to go to. read more

The team at Flood Air is great! Eugene, Larry, and Jeremy replaced the complete HVAC in my house very quickly and a day sooner than we thought! Not only did they explain, but they showed me what was getting done and why all of the ducting needed to be replaced. They cleaned up the attic space well and when they left, they made sure to not leave any debris, they even vacuumed the area under the attic access. Their pricing was very competitive. I highly recommend Flood Air for any HVAC need you may have! read more

I could make this a very long review but the memory and the money spent makes it hurt to much. If I could give negative stars I would... Flood Heating & Air Conditioning, Stars are earned not assumed, Flood Heating & Air Conditioning Company came to my home to install a new furnace and A coil for AC unit. Only after leaving a voice mail one hour after the appointment window expired did I get a call back an hour after that from their office manager saying that their previous job had run over and she was unaware that the owner had not contacted me to let me know. Simple courtesy would help in the first step of customer service. When they did show up 2 1/2 hours late and started to remove the old unit is when all the problems started. The two men who where installing did nothing but argue the entire time. This has everything to do with how poorly this furnace was installed. At the end of the day the furnace was installed wrong so the owner of the company Mr Flood himself had to come the next day to take the new furnace out and re install it correctly; so I thought. I had nothing but problems with air leaking into my garage from all the duct work and plenum so ultimately I had to hire another company to re-install the furnace and coil correctly. Had Flood Air install a new AC in my rental condo a few years back. Worked fine. But during the heatwave this summer it putz out. So I called and it was $90 just to show up. Gee thanks. It was a...5 mi drive? Gas must be expensive these days. Anyway, they came, rushed the job, left tools behind and blamed it on the age of the building. Changed the filter and blew out of town. And to top it off they never called me to approve any work or repairs. They just did it...which is not good common practice. A week or two later my renters are saying they can't cool the place below 75. So I asked them to come out (again)and got no follow-up call. I had to re-follow-up and see what is going on. The office assistant gave me some rambling statement about the piping and that was that. So, I have to pay money for a cheap filter, lackluster service and an AC unit that wont cool a 700 sq ft unit under 75...looks like I'll be looking for another company to service me in the future. read more

Zero stars, because this company did not show up for the appointment or bother to call me with an explanation. Only after leaving a voicemail one hour after the appointment window expired did I get a call back several hours later from their office person saying that their previous job had run over and she was unaware that the owner had not let me know. Even though my entire day was disrupted, I would have been understanding and willing to reschedule if I had been treated correctly. Simple courtesy, people, and you will not lose customers and get bad reviews. It takes very little effort to make a phone call. read more

I needed a new air conditioning unit and had many bids, but went with Flood Air, since all my neighbors raved about the service and how customer oriented this company was. I had my unit installed 7/3/17 and am quite impressed. Unit works great! My installers were Larry & Jeremy and they did an awesome job! I even had a whole house fan installer ask who I used, since the heating unit installation amazed him. I will definitely recommend this company to all my friends. They are great! Thank you Flood Air! read more

Got a new system installed in our house and it works like a dream. Flood Air, Inc. was so easy to work with and provided excellent service. I highly recommend the Flood Air, Inc. team. They're honest, hard-working, friendly, competitively-priced and they truly care about the customer. I can't ask for more and will definitely use them again when needed. My story: I had an old non-working Carrier brand furnace... a seasoned repairman from another company (will remain nameless) spent several hours trying to fix it with no luck. After he gave up, I called Carrier corporate and asked who their best local service team was... the Carrier rep explained that Flood Air Inc. has a Carrier-trained repair team so if anyone can fix it, they can. Eugene with Flood Air came out the same day and had my furnace working within FIVE MINUTES!!! After it was running, he did a great job explaining the status of my furnace and laid out my options for repairing vs. replacing the old unit. It was very informative and was the opposite of a pushy "sales pitch". I asked for the quotes in an email, Eugene had Stacie (awesome and super-friendly girl from their office) send me both quotes and I bought the new furnace. I couldn't be happier, keep up the great work guys! read more

In the middle of a recent heatwave, my AC broke down, and became non-functional. I asked around for an HVAC repair recommendation, and didn't get a good referral, until a neighbor recommended Flood Air. She relayed that she'd had a good experience with them, so, after checking some Yelp reviews, I decided to give them a call. I first spoke with Stacey, the Office Manager, and was very impressed by her helpful, friendly, and professional manner. After an appointment was set up, two techs were sent out to diagnose the problem. Parts needed to be ordered, and after they arrived, Eugene, the owner, came out to do the full repair. He completed the repair in what I considered to be an honest, professional manner, and, as Stacey, was courteous and friendly. Admittedly, due to time constraints, I wasn't able to do a price comparison, but under the circumstances, I felt the price was fair, and that the work was honestly performed. Flood Air has been in business here locally for many years, so I think that speaks positively for the company. If I encounter any future HVAC problems, I won't hesitate to call Flood Air. read more

Very professional, Larry and Jeremy were great, recommend if anybody looking for a reliable AC repair.

If I could give this company 10 stars or more I would. My neighbors friend recommended this company. Eugene came out to give us a quote and when my husband gave the ok I called and they were able to schedule me on the day that worked for us. They arrived right on time to replace the ac/furnace. Larry and Jeremy are so nice and knowledgeable. They work as s team along with Eugene in the mix the job was so professional. They cleaned up, they answered all my questions it was really nice to have such a wonderful crew in my house!!! I can't leave Stacie out of this she was so nice when I had other questions she returned phone calls and when I left a message she even emailed on a Saturday so I didn't have to wait till Monday I would differently recommend Flood AC!!! read more
