He did an excellent job working with what was left behind and modifying what was needed in order to get our stairs to code and they look great. This is now the second time we have used Kirk and he is fantastic!! He helped us out a few years ago when we needed work done quickly in our crawlspace before selling our home. He literally can do anything you need! He is thorough and has great skills in all areas of renovation. He is easy to work with and his quotes are very reasonable. I would highly recommend him to friends and family.

For the past 4 months (Aug- Nov 2022), I have worked with Kirk directly via his company Refined Remodeling involving a complete first floor remodel of my home (powder room, kitchen, flooring, painting, electrical, and more). There are some key components that have compelled me to write this review, the first of which involves Kirk's consistency and showing up timely for the work involved. While there were some small hiccups like traffic or illness, Kirk always communicated via a timely text message regarding the situation. Next involves Kirks crew, Doug, Andrew, Bill, Joe, and Sam, everyone brought their A- game regarding the project for the day. As previously mentioned there were several projects happening daily and everyone did their part, kudos to everyone. While a remodeling project can be stressful for the homeowner with all the coordination of supplies, deliveries, services, etc. Kirk and his crew have been mindful of the details, courteous, and pleasant to work with. Refined Remodeling has been supportive in assisting with coordinating selections to bring the big picture together and given meticulous attention to the details. The company's integrity, character, and service has been above anything I could have expected. As I give my recommendation for Refined Remodeling with exposure and growth of this small business, to bring back trust in a general contractor who will dedicate time, effort, credibility, and integrity into your project, and to enhance your satisfaction. Please consider Refined Remodeling for all your future projects with continued exposure via referrals for this company. I give 5/5 stars. Ms. Angela

However, they ghosted after that. I never got a quote, nor did they reply to my message following up. Left me wondering if they would disappear once work started if I had ended up moving forward with them.

Professionalism: From the outset, the owner, Karl, demonstrated outstanding professionalism. He provided a prompt, competitive estimate, and the final cost actually came in slightly under budget. The demolition was carried out with surgical precision, and the entire worksite was kept immaculately clean throughout the project. Karl and his partner David handled all the work themselves--eliminating the typical delays and coordination issues that come with juggling multiple subcontractors.
