The event…read moresaid it would start at 7PM, when arriving at about 6:20PM the doors and gates were down as if nothing was going on. We went to side entrance and gained entry. Then I went to check our coats and was told no one was there but there was a sign that said coat check was $5.00 but if you wanted to keep coat you must pay$10.00 which made no sense to us and as people were coming in security wanted them to remain in lobby where temperature in lobby was frigid. This was not a party where young thuggers would attend but a wedding of two mature people 50 plus years of age. The guests were the same age group with parents 70 years and above. It was abusive to have to stand or sit in a lobby of that temperature. The place should have been prepared by at least having heat turned on so people did not have to shiver in there clothes. Getting back to coat check I was waiting patiently for someone to either take our coats or at least explain security said something like it amounted to too bad so my son took his parents coat and put on hangars. Security comes out very aggressively and act like he was committing the crime of the century and why he was doing this, he told them that he was the groom and he probably said a curse word and left the area. One security person said, we are not gonna start the night like this and followed my son. an argument ensued and people had to intervene, I thought security was supposed to deescalate situations not perpetuate to makes matters worse. As the line got longer and longer and people began getting more agitated one security started taking coats for check. I know this seems like a lot and small occurrences but these things cannot be overlooked if this place should continue to operate. In addition the bathrooms were ice cold so cold that you could see steam streaming when urinating even water was cold to was hands. Then when I went to get our coats they put our coats on different numbers for reason I cannot say but I then had go inside coat room and identify our coats, this is just another sign of anal behavior on there part. I would not recommend this venue to anyone of age, unless they hire people that know how to engage with public with proper decorum.

K & L Manor -- A Sweet 16 Nightmare!…read more I waited a year to share this heartbreaking experience. On October 27, 2025, just FIVE DAYS before my daughter's November 1st Sweet 16, manager Syndy called to tell me THEY HAD TO CHANGE MY DATE! Her explanation? A cleaning person supposedly found contracts in a box upstairs, revealing someone had booked and paid a deposit for my date first. SERIOUSLY? In the age of electronic booking systems? The story simply didn't add up! I BOOKED IN JUNE AND PAID IN FULL BY SEPTEMBER! My daughter and her court had rehearsed there THREE times, and my decorator and I had visited to plan the layout. How was this conflict only discovered five days before? I asked Syndy, "So who paid you off to take the place for that day?" Her immediate response: "All money ain't good money." That only deepened my skepticism. Hearing the news, my daughter let out a heartbreaking shriek. Months of excitement and planning were suddenly shattered. Owner Tracy and Syndy apologized, offering another date and $1,000 off, even suggesting bumping another customer! But this was a 250+ GUEST EVENT! Family, including my wheelchair-using mother, was flying into NY. Hotels, rental cars, beauty appointments, caterers, bartenders, DJ, decorator, photographer, and videographer were booked. Not everyone could reschedule! I took TWO DAYS OFF WORK, frantically searching for another venue. Thankfully, I found one, but our vision was destroyed. The court couldn't rehearse there and performed facing the wrong direction because they had practiced at K & L. After months of preparation, I couldn't even enjoy my daughter's celebration. To make matters worse, Tracy and Syndy raised their voices at ME--the customer they had wronged! Where was the accountability and professionalism? I believe in supporting our community's businesses, but that requires INTEGRITY, RESPECT, AND HONORING COMMITMENTS! My daughter only gets ONE Sweet 16. No discount can restore that experience. FUTURE CUSTOMERS, BE VERY CAUTIOUS! A beautiful venue means nothing without trustworthy business practices. And Syndy, no, I'm not "from corporate." Being that the event was during the summer, between the humidity outside, dancing and the amount of people at the party (the venue was not over capacity by any means, for reference), it was extremely hot in the venue even though the ac was on (I was later told one of the Ac units were not working, after the two people I had setting up did inform the staff and they said the unit was in fact working when it wasn't) This also caused the floor to be very slippery which caused a few of my guests to fall just from walking around (a huge liability) I requested for this to be a stand up event but at the last minute, I was told the venue is given as is (tables out, chairs out etc.) and storage for the other furniture can not be requested last minute. The owner realized that I did mention the event would be a stand up event prior to the month of the event. The effort was made to remove some of the tables and chairs but upon arrival there were still some stacks of chairs in the corner. Although it was not a issue for me, it was brought to my attention by a few of my guests and I just wish the original request to have only a few chairs out, was able to be fulfilled. Lastly, I rented a cotton candy machine to use but unfortunately, once it was plugged in, the music turned off because supposedly too many things were plugged in on the same side of the venue so I was not able to use the machine, and it was a waste of money that could've been allocated to something else. On the other hand, there were a lot more pros. For one, the layout of the venue is perfect for a party. There is enough space for guests to move around without feeling like a pack of sardines. There was an attendant there for the later half of the booking and he was quick on his feet. When the power went out, he was able to get it back on within 5 minutes or so and also, when there was spill, he quickly got the mop for us upon request. The venue is very clean (the white walls are pure white). There is also a bar area and space at the front of the venue where food and drinks can be separate from the actual party. Lastly, although there was some miscommunication about minor details for the party, the owner of the venue was very responsive, kind, respectful and answered all of my questions without hesitation. I even was supposed to depart the venue exactly at 1 am in order to receive my security deposit back but I left at 1:11 am because one of the vendors did not come and pick up their equipment but we still cleaned up the venue and my security deposit was sent back to me by that morning and I do appreciate that very much. Overall, this is a great space to have your event. The location is easily accessible and it is very affordable for 8 hours of use. Just be sure that the inconveniences I mentioned will be resolved prior to booking your event.
