We arrived to the meeting spot around 10am and got back to the cars around 3:15pm. Reservations were easy to do online, and I received the confirmation email shortly after with details on timing, meeting location, and what to expect for the day. This was the only communication we received, so if you're someone who finds reminder emails helpful, you may not get it with OWA. We were split up between two boats with one additional solo guest. The shuttle ride was quick to Paradise campground, leaving the meeting point around 10:10am. The guides set us up with life jackets and paddles, provide us with instructions for paddling and safety, and after hopping in the boats and doing some practice strokes, we were on our way. The deli-style lunch was set up for us about 2 hours into the trip (12:30pmish). We ate at a campground with bathroom access. The lunch spread consisted of bread, deli meats, cheese, sauces/condiments, melon, veggies, chips, cookies, PB/jelly, sodas - a surprisingly vast assortment and was a treat after a few hours on the water. The entire trip was really fun. We enjoyed chatting with our guides, paddling into the rapids and enjoying the scenery. Our boat hit a rapid "just right" and two members of our raft fell out, but we moved quickly to get them back in the raft and all had a good laugh about the rapid. The only thing I wish is that OWA would offer photos (just cell phone, nothing fancy). As they carry a dry bag and phones, it would have been nice to have a photo of our group that could be emailed/texted after the trip. Or from the staff member who sets up the lunch. We all really enjoyed our day and would definitely be interested to do another trip with OWA. And as the email says, "And remember, a guide can over tip your boat, but you can't over tip your guide."

We had such a fun time riding, and would love to come back one day to stay at the campground and check out some of the other trails in the area. Gary was especially careful with our bikes on his rack, had an impeccably clean car (even without considering he hauls around outdoor enthusiasts), and happily showed us important markers and potential hiccups on the trail as he drove us to the trailhead. Alyssa was very responsive and kind on the phone. Overall, I get the impression that they love the land and community around McKenzie River, and are just excited to share that enthusiasm with their guests.

Alex and Maddie took us on the waterfall tour. We couldn't go to one of the waterfalls because the road was closed so they took us to a couple other spots in the area to compensate. Snacks were provided and omg the brownies were so delicious Thank you to all of the people who run the Horse Creek Lodge and Outfitters. You all helped us make some pretty amazing memories! Beautiful lake on the cascade lakes highway with the most incredible emerald color of water when…read morethe sun hits! It's also the starting point for south sister and it's fun to camp here the night before to get an early start. The camp sites are phenomenal right on the water, complete with fire pits. Great Lake for water activities for just to come hang out/walk around. Do watch out for mosquitoes though!

Bogus Creek Launch is a semi-improved, official put-in and pull-out stop along the North Umpqua…read moreriver. It's the end to Segment 3 (Gravel Bin to Bogus) and the beginning of Segment 4 (Bogus to Susan), where the next launch spot is. There's a campground conveniently located across the street not far away. The improvements here mainly consist of a pullout, bathrooms, a sign mapping the float sections and times, as well as significant rapids. This is not a drive-down launch - anything you want to launch must be ported down to the river via a dirt trail. As with most (if not all) launches on this river. There's at least one picnic table, although I wouldn't count this amongst the most scenic spots to have lunch. It's more for utility's sake. We stopped here on our quick tour of the river. It was a dry year, with much lower-than-average water levels, so floating wasn't even an option, even by late June. This didn't stop us from heading down to the river and wading in. A nice break when road-tripping through the area. There's a shallow shelf of bedrock that runs out into the river, providing a perfect launch platform. It's also a pretty mellow section of river. There aren't really many ideal fishing spots here, however. I'm definitely coming back to float this river some day.

We are summer residents and live on the McKenzie River for 22 summers. We raft the river several…read moretimes each summer with our friends and family. My husband and I decided to try TnT. We watch all the company's guides on the river and they looked fun and safe from our view on the river. We loved the trip with Tonya, Tim and Bert. The guides were friendly, knowledgable and safe. I changed rafts along the river from Bert's raft to Tonya's to even the numbers and weight. What an experience. Laughed so much and got so wet. We stopped to let people swim and jump off "climbing rock". Later we stopped at McKenzie Bridge campground for a short snack and potty break. Tnt supplied huge amounts of snack bars, chips, nuts, fruit, and bottled water for our consumption. If you want to see the McKenzie River along with it"s class one and two plus rapids, I would recommend Tnt!

I love this park! 25 minutes outside of Eugene sits Dexter State Park. You can swim, boat, kayak,…read morepicnic, and play disc golf here! This is a day use park and there's a boat ramp in the lower parking lot. Speaking of parking lots there is a ton of parking space. You can bring your leashes pups here, heck bring the whole family! Big open fields, tall trees and picnic tables makes this place perfect for an afternoon in the sun. You can swim here but there are only a couple spots where you can access the water and they are a bit rocky. They have bathrooms here and there's a little trail that walks around one side of the reservoir. Sometimes I miss the turn from the main road but just remember when you're coming from Eugene it's right after Elijah Bristow State Park.

This park is located about 20 minutes south east of Eugene, Oregon in Dexter, OR. The park has…read morebeautiful coniferous and deciduous trees, a large dog run, hiking, biking and horse riding trails. There js a parking area for equestrian trailers and an area to saddle horses. There are several trails of varying lengths around the marsh and streams running off the Willamette river. There are wheelchair accessible picnic areas and bathrooms. Some of the trails look even and compact enough for wheelchairs but we didn't venture down any this time. I would definitely come back here again for some trail walking, biking, fishing and wildlife watching. There are heron and turtle here.
