We arrived to the meeting spot around 10am and got back to the cars around 3:15pm. Reservations were easy to do online, and I received the confirmation email shortly after with details on timing, meeting location, and what to expect for the day. This was the only communication we received, so if you're someone who finds reminder emails helpful, you may not get it with OWA. We were split up between two boats with one additional solo guest. The shuttle ride was quick to Paradise campground, leaving the meeting point around 10:10am. The guides set us up with life jackets and paddles, provide us with instructions for paddling and safety, and after hopping in the boats and doing some practice strokes, we were on our way. The deli-style lunch was set up for us about 2 hours into the trip (12:30pmish). We ate at a campground with bathroom access. The lunch spread consisted of bread, deli meats, cheese, sauces/condiments, melon, veggies, chips, cookies, PB/jelly, sodas - a surprisingly vast assortment and was a treat after a few hours on the water. The entire trip was really fun. We enjoyed chatting with our guides, paddling into the rapids and enjoying the scenery. Our boat hit a rapid "just right" and two members of our raft fell out, but we moved quickly to get them back in the raft and all had a good laugh about the rapid. The only thing I wish is that OWA would offer photos (just cell phone, nothing fancy). As they carry a dry bag and phones, it would have been nice to have a photo of our group that could be emailed/texted after the trip. Or from the staff member who sets up the lunch. We all really enjoyed our day and would definitely be interested to do another trip with OWA. And as the email says, "And remember, a guide can over tip your boat, but you can't over tip your guide."

Bogus Creek Launch is a semi-improved, official put-in and pull-out stop along the North Umpqua…read moreriver. It's the end to Segment 3 (Gravel Bin to Bogus) and the beginning of Segment 4 (Bogus to Susan), where the next launch spot is. There's a campground conveniently located across the street not far away. The improvements here mainly consist of a pullout, bathrooms, a sign mapping the float sections and times, as well as significant rapids. This is not a drive-down launch - anything you want to launch must be ported down to the river via a dirt trail. As with most (if not all) launches on this river. There's at least one picnic table, although I wouldn't count this amongst the most scenic spots to have lunch. It's more for utility's sake. We stopped here on our quick tour of the river. It was a dry year, with much lower-than-average water levels, so floating wasn't even an option, even by late June. This didn't stop us from heading down to the river and wading in. A nice break when road-tripping through the area. There's a shallow shelf of bedrock that runs out into the river, providing a perfect launch platform. It's also a pretty mellow section of river. There aren't really many ideal fishing spots here, however. I'm definitely coming back to float this river some day.

We are summer residents and live on the McKenzie River for 22 summers. We raft the river several…read moretimes each summer with our friends and family. My husband and I decided to try TnT. We watch all the company's guides on the river and they looked fun and safe from our view on the river. We loved the trip with Tonya, Tim and Bert. The guides were friendly, knowledgable and safe. I changed rafts along the river from Bert's raft to Tonya's to even the numbers and weight. What an experience. Laughed so much and got so wet. We stopped to let people swim and jump off "climbing rock". Later we stopped at McKenzie Bridge campground for a short snack and potty break. Tnt supplied huge amounts of snack bars, chips, nuts, fruit, and bottled water for our consumption. If you want to see the McKenzie River along with it"s class one and two plus rapids, I would recommend Tnt!

But as I watched these rafts go by our campground, even over big rapids, they looked gentle. I have a kayak and do some of our local rivers but would never do this one. Something hit me and I asked my husband if he would like to go down the river. They offered a tightwad special and my husband, my brother and I decided to take the opportunity. After talking with Jess he made me feel comfortable enough that I wasn't to afraid, but still there was apprehension until we got on the river, then the fear was gone. I felt very safe in his raft and felt very safe with him as a guide. We had a blast. The river was beautiful, Jess was a pleasure. He knew so much about the area and shared what he knew. This made it even more enjoyable. I would recommend this company to everyone. Thank you Jess for a wonderful trip. See you next year with more family.

Beautiful lake on the cascade lakes highway with the most incredible emerald color of water when…read morethe sun hits! It's also the starting point for south sister and it's fun to camp here the night before to get an early start. The camp sites are phenomenal right on the water, complete with fire pits. Great Lake for water activities for just to come hang out/walk around. Do watch out for mosquitoes though!

Our neighbors had fire going during fire ban (extreme fire danger). The host was nowhere to be found. Another neighbor had his generator going throughout the entire night.

This is one of the largest of the Cascade Lakes that are west of Bend. I have only explored a small…read moresection of this lake, so keep in mind my knowledge is only relating to these specific areas. I have been kayaking, fishing, and camping on this lake several different times. From my experience, it can be a little shallow and warmer than some of the other Cascade Lakes. This makes it pretty good for bass fishing, which is not super common in central Oregon. With this lake being so large, there is plenty of shore access as well as unofficial campsites that have a dirt road and a fire ring to them. This can be nice if you have some rowdy friends that you don't want to deal with at your typical campsite. This lake is not very close at all to Bend but is pretty close to La Pine if that's where you're coming from. Overall this is the best option in my mind for large or rowdy groups that want to do some fishing, boating or camping. Great instructions at the beginning, one of our group wasn't holding on and went over, we saved him! Craig made the trip fun, took us on a great ride. If you want a great adventure, (but not to dangerous) that you will feel for a couple days, this is it! Scenery was totally awesome, beautiful clear water, huge canopy of trees. Great memories made and made some new friends along the way. Very professional, Excellent service, 5 stars all the way.
