In short, I'm only giving the salon 1 star for the magic sleek treatment and the information provided by Erica about the after care. Other than that, would NOT recommend the place for several reasons. Starting from not doing a professional job, to charging me twice within a week for a job that wasn't done right to providing different price than what's agreed on.
My review will be very lengthy as I'll be explaining my experience in details.
I went there looking for a makeover postpartum and wanted to have highlights and get a hair cut and of course do a keratin treatment.
Was informed the prices for all the services as $150 for highlights, $60 hair coloring, $25 blow dry and $280 Magic Sleek (a new thing similar to keratin treatment), She checked my hair and told me the black hair color at the end is a problem and told her even when cutting my hair? She said yeah it could work, so I made an appointment with her. I showed up on time and had to wait 30 min as she was busy with other clients, when I sat she asked me to show her a pic of the hair length desired and the color, In which I did ( length wanted was about 6 inches below shoulder and color wanted was medium brown with white ashy highlights) she cut my hair and did the highlight and toned it for a long time trying to strip the black color which turned orange, brassy orange! So I told her let's cut it even shorter to fix this issue, cut my hair to shoulder length and still had orange color towards the end! And the color of my hair that she dyed was not the same as the picture shown, neither were the highlights, they were bright blonde! Not compatible with my skin color and not what I asked for! She told me that we did a lot of treatment and bleaching today and when I come for the Keratin treatment the color will change a bit and we can tone the color again after the Keratin to have the desired look or similar to it. Contacted Erica once I got back home that the color is way off and doesn't look good and need the follow up appt. to tone it soon and asked what the end results will look, she sent me pictures and I liked them, I confirmed that my hair will look similar to one of those? And said not 100% but very close. The pics weren't what I had in mind but the brown and caramel/honey highlights looked ok! I came a week later, did the Keratin and toned my hair, it was still looking bad (color wise) with the orange ends! Told her this is not what you promised, she said yeah I tried alot and the black is not coming out and I'm sorry I should've done a test on your hair to see the bleaching.. sorry? Now my hair is damaged from bleaching and stripped from everything, I have ugly orange ends that's not going in any way and I lost $150 for nothing. Ended up toning the ends dark, which looked like I just dyed my hair, something I could've done at home or pay the $60 alone and no need for all the damage and time and money wasted! Oh and not to mention that she charged me $50 extra for toning the color again the second time. Told her that's the process! That's what I used to do before and they never charge twice as the work wasn't finished the first time. Also she said the Magic sleek is $300, tole her No, you said $280, told me it depends on hair length, my hair is shoulder length thanks to you for a highlight job poorly done. She saw how furious I was and offered a free toning and oil treatment in a month or 2 , told her will only pay what we agreed on, she didn't like it and withdraw the offer immediately as I paid $280 for the treatment. I also didn't want to pay $50 for toning the second time (but I did and wasn't happy about it), regardless of the process and time she claims that justifies it, this is a continuation of the first session, why to charge me twice? The job wasn't finished And now I don't have highlights btw, it just looked as if I dyed my hair dark brown and paid $200 for nothing ($150 highlights and $50 toning). Spent 5 hours first time and 6 hours second time. Very unsatisfied and will not go there again. read more
