First, the owner is this righteous dude named Richie, who is super friendly and extremely helpful. Second, he had an excellent collection for great prices. The inventory was well-loved by previous owners. We chatted quite a bit about his classical bins that don't get the attention they deserve and the beauty of the music captured on those vinyl discs. Finally, THIS IS A LOCAL BUSINESS THAT DESERVES OUR RESPECT AND SUPPORT. While it may be significant that some record companies are reissuing vinyl, the prices can be outrageous at times, the reissues are limited, and sometimes, the new issues aren't quite engineered to the previous old-school standards. Alternatively, you can spend months combing through consignment and antique stores with small collections of records of unknown quality. Folks like Richie preserve an artistic legacy for us all simply out of passion. We need to step up and make sure that such stores thrive.
