I shop at a lot of comic books shops across three states on the regular. While I've only been physically to the store a couple of times, I've shopped with the owner and his staff at various comic conventions over the years as well. I've never had a bad experience. If you want something they don't have, he'll either order it, or give you a line on where it might be in stock. Prices are more than fair. The store is laid out nice, and has room for in store signings and other events, Chris and the rest of the staff are great. They are just as interested in having a conversation about the comics (and more) as they are about selling them. That's key in this industry, if I'm buying new books, I can get them anywhere. That makes customer service the king. This is one of my favorite shops in Michigan. read more

Fantastic!!! I've been bringing my children to this shop for many years. I grew up in Hazel Park and remember coming here when I was a kid. I moved far far away for a while. I now live in Troy and have brought my children to this fun shop for the past 14 years. My daughter, who is my youngest, just turned 20. Comics & More is worth going too and here's why! Since the early 1990's I've been a collector, which means I need to go to Comic Stores to get parts of my collection. I got to know a lot of stores through the Detroit area, I tried making friends with the store owners as I like talking with people. Though more often than not, there's some feeling like just a pay check to them. I only would go, if I needed to pick up my comics. Till 2011. On Free Comic Book day 2011 we went around checking out the different stores and I walked into a place called "Comics & More". I wasn't really talking much at first, just looking around. But there was an artist there signing autographs. I asked the artist about an upcoming convention, which got the store owner to join into the conversation. It was a GREAT conversation, something to remember. I came back the following month and talked with him again, his name is Chris Brown, and the guy has so much character, interest, and positive energy around him. I don't see him as just the guy who sells me my comics, but as a friend I want to hang out with, when he's off work. And the amazing thing is, he's the same way with everyone who walks in the store. Always out going, friendly, remembering what we all enjoy and full of information about what's out. This is the BEST Comic store I've been too, and I travel the country. I still go there to this day, even though I'm moving to California. I would not want to bring my business anywhere else. I want to Thank Chris for all these amazing years of friendship, and look forward to many years to come! read more

Great selection of comics. Back in middle school and high school this was my go-to store for comics and trading cards (pokemon/magic). They also have other great collectibles. They offer discounts for high volume buyers as well. The staff is very knowledable about all of their material and more than happy to answer any questions and school you on the comic book world without the Simpsons' Comic Book Guy-like attitude. I haven't been in here lately, but since nearly every other business in its shopping center has closed with the last 2 years and it has been in business for over 10, I assume they're still doing a good job. This is my favorite comic shop in town (we have many to choose from) especially after the remodel. Chris the owner is very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to comics and "more". The more in the name refers to his wide array of games (card, board and heroclix) action figures (old and new) T-shirts and graphic novels. He was even featured in The Walking Dead as a zombie! He also has creator in store signings a few times a year. Check this place out and tell him Andrew sent you. It won't get you anything special but do it anyways! read more

A comic shop for comic guys. This shop is a little on the smaller side compared to others I've been to but that to me is part of the appeal. your never anywhere in the store that you can't listen in or chime in to the conversation. And if you have a question for the owner he is just a few feet away and is very helpful with answering. They keep it simple with the new releases and previous week issues in the middle, more current issues on the out skirt and back issues and vintage comics in the boxes. He has a good amount of back issues and a good amount of comics in the dollar boxes. He has a good amount of trade paperbacks and hard covers. He also has some toys, cards, hero clix, collectibles,comic bags board boxes and t-shirts. He also has gold silver and bronze age comics for sale that are in good condition and the owner is willing to haggle on the prices of most collectibles and vintage comics. They also have a web review show every Tuesday/ Wednesday called Week n Geek, and a pod cast called the Zod Complex. This shop is a fun hang out, the owner (Chris Brown) is a cool guy and is happy to help with any questions and is fun to talk with. If you are near this shop stop in, if you live in the area this is the shop to call home. read more

Best store in Metro Detroit, which is a big market for comics. Chris, the owner, is very sharp, knows his business and knows what's out there. Excellent experience every time I've walked in this store . Located in a small strip mall you might miss this shop. But go in one time and you'll be glad you did! You will have a good to excellent shopping experience here. I usually shop for myself and always find items I'm looking for . The really cool thing is I've taken my kids in multiple times , driving past about 15 other stores I could shop in closer to my home . But we go here for one huge reason, the owner Chris does something extremely cool. He talks to the kids, treats them as human beings, finds out their interests and helps them find something they might like . He understands that the customer has a right to be treated well, even if they are 5 years old. They have a large selection of comics, graphic novels, toys , action figures and other collectibles. The prices are reasonable and fair and often much lower than stores nearby . The staff is respectful of the clients of all ages and make you want to come back. Have a conversation with the staff and more than Likely the next time you walk in the door , your probably going to be greeted by name, like Norm walking into Cheers! They are not the biggest store, but they offer the best service of any comic shop in metro Detroit !! I'm disappointed because my brother and I went in to buy a new comic and we were told he couldn't buy all the comics he wanted to because it was a new comic was only allowed to get two so that he wouldn't wipe out his stock even though there were multiple on the shelf of each of the comics he wanted to get. It's disappointing because he just lost two customers and their business because we won't be waiting a week to go back and buy more we are just going to get the ones he wasn't allowed to get on Amazon instead for a better price. It's sad when you want to support local businesses and something like this happens. read more

By far the best comic book store near me. A great and organized selection, with some of the coolest staff I've met yet. After spending two days visiting other comic book shops for the rest of a four issue run to no avail, I tried Comics and More. Lo and behold, they had every issue I needed! Absolutely Awesome! My friend has been trying to get me into comics for a while now, and just to shut him up, I stopped into Comics & More on the way home from work one day. I was expecting a Simpsons comic book guy behind the counter, but I was instead warmly greeted by Chris Brown, the owner. After explaining my situation, and showing him the shortlist of titles my buddy armed me with, we BS'd for 10-15 minutes about movies, TV shows, and books. C&M was sold out of a lot of stuff on my list, but Chris recommended a couple other books that sounded very interesting. He even offered to refund my money on the stuff I didn't like that he had recommended. I went home and tore through the handful of comics I had picked up that day, and I was hungry for more. I was addicted. I now stop into Comics & More several times a week picking up new stuff. It's a small shop, but it has a very good selection. read more
