So far, I've had hot chocolate, lattes and chais. All have been good. At times, maybe a tad too milky. I did try a lemonade, that was ok. Hubs and I both had the cupcakes in a jar. As for location, parking is limited and access bc you can only turn in on one side of the street. Don't cause an accident bc you're not prepared. They have flights. You can try that when dining in. So, I've never tried. They also have buckets now for the hard core coffee drinkers. The place is always clean. The dining area is small but welcoming. Very infrequently have i seen children in there, but they are welcome. It looks like they are trying to expand the menu a bit with some sandwiches, parfaits and more pastries. But, I have to say that my favorite bit are the themed drinks.

It was just me, so I only got half a dozen donuts with a knife so I could taste them all! I tried: Cookies & Cream, Salted Caramel, Maple Bacon, Toasted Coconut, Chai, and Fluffernuter. Let me start by saying the cake part of these donuts is just perfect. Not too dense, lightly crisp on the outside, and insanely fresh. The toppings might sound over the top, but they weren't. They were perfectly subtle to add a hint of flavor without a dose of diabetes. And the coffee- such unique lattes both in name and flavors. I went with Davy Joey's Locker with an extra shot of espresso. So good. Not overly sweet and not bitter at all. And then I just had to try the cute little pistachio cannoli. Shell was filled upon ordering, so the shell was nice and crispy. Now this was super sweet, but I haven't met a cannoli yet that wasn't! Barista was friendly & bubbly and patient when it took me some time to pick my 6 donuts. Basic tables and chairs with some bench seating along the window. Pillows & chairs could use a refresh, as well as the bathroom, looking a bit worn & dingy, but that's literally the only negative thing about this place.

I would have liked more avocado and less cheese, or even no cheese next time. The cafe is hard to judge just from this one experience and one menu item, but overall the cafe is cute and I would try more menu items if I happened to be in the area again!

I was checking the longitudes of both places, and the Easton restaurant was slightly east of this Rising Sun coffee shop. As it turns out and amazing coincidence, I just wrote my 2 most eastern Yelp reviews in the state of MD. Never had one further east of these locations in MD like in Elkton, Ocean City, Salisbury, etc. I visited Rise N Grind Cafe on a Friday in September 2022. I was going up to Newark, DE to visit my parents for a night at a hotel for a mushroom festival in Kennett Township on that Saturday. I managed to get a parallel parking right in front of the store in the small downtown Rising Sun. I wifi at this cute coffee shop as I had some work on that Friday. I had a delicious coffee, and I think a tuna salad sandwich, which was delicious. The staff was friendly too, and they were efficient. I comfortably got my work done. Unfortunately, I didn't take a pic of my food, but I took pics of other aspects of the cafe itself. If I ever end up back in Rising Sun, I'd come back here!
