I'm not sure why I never thought to review this place before, but it's always been a staple of being in Elkton. Service is always quick and good. Ice cream is always great and they've always played oldies which is cool. I think this place will be around forever.

There's ample seating outside on benches that overlooks a cattle farm. Now the challenge is finishing your very large cone of two scoops ice cream in under three minutes. WOW! Incredible ice cream! This was my second time going. The first time I got a brownie sundae and…read moreit was amazing! The brownie was decadent, warm, and a nice size. I waited at one window and the clerk saw me but waited until someone else came at another window to wait on them. I asked her why she did that and she said that people normally order from that window. I asked her how I would know because there are 3 of them with no signs directing you where to order. Tip: Order from the end window, with your back against Pulaski Highway. Today I got a "Regular Waffle Cone" with 3 scoops: Horchata (incredible!), caramel cheesecake (blah, tasted like vanilla, what caramel?), and peanut butter puddles (very good). There was only one person working each time I went. They take each order, ring them up, make it, and move on to the next. It's a lot for one person. Business seems good, for good reason. While service definitely has room for improvement, the ice cream itself merits 5 stars! When I am in the area it will be a regular stop. NOTE: This review was from 2 years ago. Apparently, I posted under the wrong location...

I ordered a cheeseburger and an Italian/water ice (mango). The service was really friend and pretty fast! The cheeseburger was simple and delicious - no complaints from me. The water ice was also delicious - a great treat on a hot July day. Real McCoy is old school and cash only, and their menu is huge (soft serve, BBQ, burgers, seafood, water ices, Dole whips, and more) - something for everyone, all the classics. You order, pay, and get your food at the window, but they have many picnic tables you can eat at after your food/treat is ready. It's casual and traditional and delicious. I'd happily return!
