Well if there were options in town I'd say use them but there aren't. Of the two people manning the shop there was a younger nice normal one, and an older (but not old) unfriendly and unhelpful person who seemed to be the boss of the other one. The exchange was unpleasant enough for me to write this review. I don't usually review non food shops. Again if you need shoes on town you're kind of limited. So hold your nose and dive in or alternatively just be prepare for some tude. Not the worst. Not one star. But not three. read more

Would not accept a return on a clearly defective shoe. Stitching in the piece of the flip flop that goes between the toes was not flush and caused a blister. Had I ordered the shoe directly from the manufacturer or Amazon, I would have had no problems making the return. Sadly, this small business doesn't understand that the relationship between customer and business is symbiotic. If the business doesn't honor the customer, why should we customers honor the business? Sometimes I think I only visited this place in a dream, but it's real! Unassuming shoe shop on the main strip in Ogunquit, but they shine when it comes to their end of season sale. Absolutely wild prices on brands like Teva and Birkenstocks. Have scored a few of my favorite pairs of shoes here and will absolutely keep stopping in when I'm in town! read more

If you forgot your flippy floppies at home, you can pick them up at Flips at tourist prices. (But hey, but when you need em, you need em.) They have a good selection of sandals including German Birkenstocks and Sanuks. My in-house counsel bought the most ridiculous "Grown in Maine" grass sandals so you can walk on green AstroTurf wherever you go. She'll be the talk of the town for sure. After not being able to find the sandals I wanted at the Kittery Trading Post, I stopped into Flips. It is a small store, but had an excellent selection in just my size. The owner went out of her way to be helpful and I got the style and size I had been seeking elsewhere. Prices were reasonable. An excellent shopping experience. read more

I Love this place. It's not cheap because the name of the game here is quality and top notch service. This is the home of the three-year flip-flop! The end of season sales along with the markdowns of last year's merchandise will blow your mind. We got the girls their annual Birkenstocks and my husband got his first grown-up pair of flip-flops at the ripe old age of 62! Not to be left out I got some clearance Ugg hightops and an adorable pair of espadrilles for next to nothing. We dropped a few bucks and everybody's happy that's a hard thing to beat ! One shop is in Perkins Cove and the other is up on Main St. If you love summer footwear, well welcome to heaven! They have so many great brands - they focus on sourcing from the best of the best vendors. So, you won't find the cheap plastic flip flops that fall apart. You can find casual, fun, dressy, comfortable, arch support, and many more types. I enjoy walking into the store each and every time.
