Flipper's is hands down our favorite pizza place in The Villages. Every Friday, I pick my husband up from work and we stop in to grab a pizza to go--it's become one of our favorite weekly traditions. The inside has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff are absolutely wonderful. They even know us by name, which makes it feel like home. The pizza is consistently delicious and perfectly made every single time, with just the right amount of cheese and generous toppings--never skimpy. If you haven't tried Flipper's yet, you definitely should. And do yourself a favor and ask for a side of their garlic butter sauce--it's amazing for dipping the crust! read more

The food is good but the service is hit and miss. One day the wait staff is great at checking back, but other times you get your pizza and never see your server again. This is true whether they're busy or not. The location is great and the outdoor area is nice- with one exception: the smokers. I hate cigarette smoke when I'm eating and the ashtray is adjacent to the outdoor area. We now have decided to order in person for take away. read more

Called for delivery. I ordered and told person on the phone that I would tip the driver in cash. I was then told that "between me and the person on the phone" that Door Dash will see no tip and would "cherry pick" the order and may cause the delivery to be delayed. Being thus coerced, I added $5.00 bring the total to $30 for one medium pizza. The pizza arrived in the $50,000 plus vehicle in 45 minutes. The pizza tasted like cold cardboard. Had a great experience at Flippers thanks to Conner! My wife and I stopped because we got hungry while running errands. He was incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. Our group has been going to Flippers pretty much every sat night for several years. All of the staff are great, our waitress Angel is like no other. She knows our orders, has drinks ready as soon as we sit down. Food is always good, if a pizza is overcooked for your tastes, they remake you a new one with no hassle. Just can't say enough good about flippers in Spanish springs. Hope they finish the square quickly for the restaurants there. read more

Haven't been in Lady Lake long enough to judge whether this restaurant serves AMAZING INCREDIBLE food yet... but their GLUTEN-FREE Mediterranean Pizza was Good. The Service was GREAT. $30.00 for a 16 inch pie with maybe 6 ounces of pepperoni. Each addition item will cost you $3.99. For oregano? Really? Ordering is difficult due do the fact you can make any requests. This includes asking for red pepper flakes, napkins, paper plates or degree you like your pie cooked. Flippers has such a great opportunity with 150,000 seniors next door to really make a special pie. But with Flippers its profit before: quality and service. I'll look elsewhere. read more

While trying to place a phone order I was hung up on twice after a long time of holding to place my order. Finally I went online and place the order for pick up. Upon arriving to the restaurant I found it to be a pleasant environment with only about a third of the restaurant seats being filled. So they didn't appear to be busy. The staff was very friendly to me and I explained the problem but they did not choose to do anything To ease the pain of my bad experience. Interesting place and town it's like golf cart heaven but expected in a 55+ community. So first service was spotty but the waitress was friendly but seemed like overwhelmed. Pizza was good and averaged price for a specialty pie. While they did social distance tables it took a while for empty tables to be cleaned and sanitized if at all. Used to love this place. Previously rated it 5 stars. But tonight we waited 25 minutes to get served. We didn't even get glasses of water within that 25 minutes. This USED to be Neapolitan style and delicious. We ordered their Margarita pizza tonight. Avoid this. It was under-cooked, with uncooked dough in the center. The crust appeared like it is one of the pre-made frozen pizza rounds you buy at the grocery store. Not fresh tasting. They cut 2 pieces of this 16-inch large pizza in huge quarters, the rest were proper 1/8s slices. The pizza had only about 4 tablespoons of sauce on it, mostly concentrated toward the center. To their credit they did replace the pizza and did bring another one out about 25 minutes later (almost 50 minutes after our arrival). We ordered Yuengling beer, and our waiter told us that they had just "kicked the keg". I later found a drink menu hidden among the regular menus, and saw that Yingling was listed on there. When our waiter finally came back, I asked him if they had bottled beer. He said yes. I said do you have bottled Yuengling beer? He said yes. He said he didn't think about that, but perhaps he should've mentioned it when he told us earlier that they had run out of Yuengling beer. Our waiter said that they were still hand tossing the dough, but honestly this does not taste anywhere near as good as it used to. Still moderately good and that's why I am leaving three stars. We were in around 6 PM, and the place was packed. That might've been part of the problem... Go very early or go later. And avoid the Margarita pizza. read more

Trying to be fair. The help is pleasant but there I'd no one running the show. Have been there 3 times this year ( month). Giving them a break due to COVID, but.......the pizza is good if you can get it. Takes forever! And the last visit was the worst.
