In terms of location, there are several shops, restaurants, cafes, laundromats, pharmacies, and grocery stores for convenience. Deepa is just a wonderful caring person and is briliant in how she operates her bed-and-breakfast. She puts out a great spread for breakfast every morning which is delicious, fresh, and scrumptious. Make sure you get one of her special croissants. Rooms are very well cleaned and has all the conveniences you would need which include a comfortable bed, a private bathroom/shower, a TV, and a closet to name a few. There is also a common area on the second floor where you could lounge to relax, use the computer, the kitchen, and mingle with other travelers. I highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to London. I plan to stay here on my next trip.

In addition to price, location is important, but it can be a challenge if you don't know the city. When looking for a hotel for our five night stay, there were many affordable options in good areas of London, but in the end we chose 69 The Grove, a lovely B&B in the Vauxhall area of London, and it was a GREAT decision. 69 The Grove is so-called because the address is 69 Vauxhall Grove. It is in the Vauxhall area, which is just south of the Thames. While a bit further away from all the main attractions in London, it was just a five minute walk to Vauxhall Station, on the Victoria Line, and took just 20 to 30 minutes to get to wherever we needed to go. It was a perfect balance of being in a quiet residential area and having quick and easy access to the busier parts of the city. It was also within walking distance of many restaurants, parks, Westminster Abbey, Parliament Square, Lambeth Bridge, and other attractions. I absolutely loved the area. The price of our five night stay was $1,205.35 CAD (including all taxes), and a full English breakfast is included each morning, Monday to Saturday -- an excellent value. While the room was small, it had everything we needed -- a private bathroom, comfy bed, a mini fridge and kettle, and it was clean and quiet. If my budget allows, I want to make another trip to London, and I hope 69 The Grove is still in operation. It was such a pleasant place to stay, and I would not hesitate to go back. He said the most loyal guest had visited from the age of 5 to 90. Here are reasons pertinent to choosing the Harlingford yourself: * It's affordable and pleasant. * It's a short bus or tube ride or a moderate walk from Soho/Leicester Square Theatre * It's a short walk to a couple of tube nexuses where you can jump on nearly any train line * It's close to attractions like the British Museum The hotel is a two-star hotel and will be a different experience than a Hilton or W Hotel. However the price offsets this difference as you're saving £100-200 per night! The free full English breakfast can give you a substantial and quick start to your day. If you are addicted to Starbucks there are two within two blocks. There are several nearby dining spots including an Indian restaurant named Depa and a city-class fish shop named North Sea Fish Restaurant. The location is an absolute dream. It's a five minute walk to the underground (tube) & the train station. The underground was difficult because it's not handicapped accessible. If you cross the street to the train station, it's easier to take the tube. So many souvenir shops on each street, which was overwhelming for a shopaholic like me lol. Many good restaurants, markets, & it's 20 minutes by tube or bus to Central London. Seriously, this is a must place to stay. You won't regret it. A word to the wise, invest in a high quality hooded rain poncho & keep it with you 24/7.

The pub is steeped in history and that is reflected in the well kept but near un-touched interior. They have some great ales on tap and all are served with a friendly smile and, if not too busy, are happy to talk through some of the pub's history. The garden here in the summer is fantastic. The views are breath-taking and they run a barbecue every Sunday which of course, does attract a huge crowd so either get there early or have some extra bags of patience with you. We head there without fail once a year with a big group of friends and spend the whole afternoon eating and drinking beer, I highly advise you to do the same!

Always giving advice which bus to take, how to get here and there, the homemade treats every morning were delicious.
