For one thing, they have a coffee machine, serving cappuccinos and lattes to the villagers who pop in to pick up the newspaper and some loo roll. The bread section is pretty upmarket too, I picked up a honey spelt loaf for £1.50 - a far cry from the sliced Wharburtons that they had in the Alldays in the village where I used to live. They probably don't need to offer much beyond the aforementioned organic loaves and the odd jar of pesto. read more
