The word supermarket in this shops title is a little misleading. I would class it more as a mini-mart or convenience store. It's a newsagents, an off licence and also stocks a number of food items such as bread, milk, tinned food and basics such as flour, cooking oil, and other cooking ingredients.
To me as a forgetful person it has come to my rescue on many occasions as I'll realise that I have run out of something and will use Supersave as my first port of call to replace it. The shop also has the added convenience of being on the way to the train station from West Street so quickly grabbing a paper for the train journey, a sandwich for lunch or topping up my Oyster card is easy to do. If you happen to be traveling to work in the morning there is a recently established pastry section which sells croissants which are well worth checking out. Supersave's long opening hours also increase the convenience factor. Price wise you will not pay much different to the big supermarket chains.
My only real complaint is the layout. The aisles are quite narrow and at times can be difficult to navigate which is not ideal for parents with prams. read more
