I had my truck repaired in April of last year when this business was still operating as Roger's…read moreAuto Body & Collision. The damage was relatively straightforward: a car wash mangled the antenna and caused deep scratches in the surrounding paint. Their estimate to replace the antenna and repaint the damaged area was $1,508.94. I was extremely busy at the time and didn't have the opportunity to get multiple estimates. I knew they had been in business for a long time, so I assumed I was paying for quality workmanship. Unfortunately, that assumption turned out to be a very expensive mistake. The repair was not done properly. Since then, the business has been purchased and is now operating as Deano's. I understand the legal argument that a new owner may not be obligated to warranty work performed under the previous ownership. What makes this situation particularly frustrating, however, is that the same people who worked on my truck under Roger's are still working at Deano's. When I brought the truck back and explained the problem, I was told they would not honor the warranty because the work had been done under the previous company. Fine--I understand the legal distinction. But then they offered to give me another estimate to repaint the area. Seriously? Why would I pay this same shop again to fix work that I already paid them $1,508.94 to do correctly the first time? If the same people are performing the work, what reason would I have to believe the result will be any different? This was an opportunity for Deano's to do the right thing and stand behind the quality of work performed by the very same people now working under their name. Instead, they chose to hide behind the change in ownership and put another potential charge ahead of customer satisfaction and the quality of their workmanship. I'm not questioning whether they were legally required to fix it. I'm questioning whether this is how a reputable collision repair business should treat a customer who already spent over $1,500 on a repair that wasn't done properly. I will not be giving Deano's another dollar, and I certainly would not trust them with another repair on my truck. If you're considering using them, I strongly recommend getting multiple estimates and, more importantly, doing your homework on the quality of the actual repair work--not just how long the business has been around.

Do you want your car totaled? Because this is how you get your vehicle totaled…read more Seriously, learn from my mistakes! This Abra shop does NOT want your business. Boy did it take ma a long time to realize that. I took my FOURTH car in today for an estimate (someone hit me - not my fault) and they told me they were writing it off as a total loss..! They said if the repair cost exceeded 70-some percent of the total value it was a total loss. I asked them what value they were using to be sure the % was 70+% and they said that they didn't know what that value was. When I asked them "Then how can you tell me my car's repair is over 70% of a value that you don't know..?" They said it's up to the insurance company to decide the total value. Slowly but surely...it finally dawned on me that if Abra can't get the $60,000 F250 or late model Tesla, they just don't want that business. If they can't pocket 5 figures on the repairs you're wasting their time. They let you know that you're waisting their time too. When I said that I love my car and I want it repaired and that I was frustrated that every time I bring a car in with any level of damage they total it, Mike quipped, "Sounds like you already made up your mind..." Yes, Mike. I finally came to my senses and realized if I actually want a car repaired, your place is NOT the place to bring it. Because you do not want my business. I have a car that I love. It has damage on the door and rear quarter panel (they probably have to be replaced - maybe 400 for the door and 250 for the rear 1/4 panel) and they are willing to write it off as a total loss? This is the 4th time this has happened to me. And every time we come out on the losing end - even when we are not at fault. Of course I will buy the car back...but that's another kick in the pants. It's worth very little when they decide if they are going to repair it...but it has SO much value when you want to buy it back. So, bottom line, I get a SALVAGE title, maybe 1500 in cash back, and a car I have to repair myself. Just the salvage title cuts the resale value in half - no matter how well you took care of your vehicle.... Take your car somewhere you trust to get it evaluated. If you want to keep it. If you want to have just about anything considered totaled, then this is your scammer-center right here man. I would NOT be surprised if they had ownership in salvage businesses. Abra...never again.
