At the time, I was just interested in a quote and I told them that I would contact them again to finalize a deal if I couldn't find anyone to beat this quote. I ended up going out of town and forgot about my side project. Cut back a month later, I contact Pull-A-Part last week to sell my vehicle to them. The Operator then low-balled me with a different number than what they first offered and offered me $380. I was upset with this new number since I was expecting them to match their initial offer. I begrudgingly brought up this point and the Operator came back with a new offer of $410 for pickup on Saturday 7/12/2024. Since I was tired of dealing with this entire project, I agreed and we set an appointment to pick up my vehicle at 9am. I received a confirmation email and made preparations to have the vehicle picked up on Saturday at our agreed time. Come Saturday, I received ZERO correspondence from the hauler and at 0945am I contacted Pull-A-Part to ask if they were enroute. The Operator stated that they did not know when the hauler would arrive and that I would be contacted. Since I received no correspondence an HOUR after they were supposed to, I asked to reschedule for Monday. The Operator advised that the hauler would reschedule to Monday and did not provide a new time. The Operator stated that they "could not provide a time for Monday." I found this statement to be incredibly unprofessional since they were happy to provide a time when they first tried to low-ball me. I agreed to an ambiguous Monday reschedule. Today is Monday and you can guess that no one has contacted me and no one has come to get the vehicle. At this point, I'm sure that this business is some kind of scam.

But when I got to O'Reillys, I told David of my issue and he said "let me see what we can do". David went above and beyond my expectations. He did extra research beyond what was available for my make and model car. He found an alternative that would allow me to get my car put back together and get on the road again. Back in the days I used to shop at their forest park store, it is right down the street from their warehouse, so anything that is not available in the store (window regulators, ngk spark plugs), can be picked up right at their warehouse center. Now I have been shopping at this location and while coming into the store today, I was greeted by the manager (Dennis), he asked me what I was looking for and put me in the right direction, as I was checking out told me about their free rewards program that I was unaware of. These guys are always about good customer support and generally can answer any question. If you have battery issues, check engine lines, or need a jump, these guys can help and do it for free, except for parts. I highly recommend this store. [Review #171]

On October 20, 2023 I went to start my car only to notice the battery was dead. I called my insurance and got a jump and to my surprise the damn thing went out again a week later. I went to the location near my home off Cheshire and bought another battery. I tested my Voltage and Alternator and all is fine and above the suggested Amps. I drive a 2013 Honda Accord and rarely drive it so although my car is 10 years old, its paid off and in amazing condition. Fast Forward to Late December into the New Year and I notice the battery keeps dying! I'm literally screaming that this is a new battery and my Alternator is fine. I call Geico again, get a jump and head to my destination! Upon leaving, I crank to start, and it's dead again! I'm pissed!..... I get a jump from my brother and my dad tells me to disconnect the battery while the car is running and if the car still operates the battery is faulty! I did this little trick and sure enough It was the battery! Now my father made his remarks about getting batteries from Advanced Auto (which I now know) but the reason for the 5 stars is the Associate. I don't think his name is Welby as that's what's on the receipt but he was a Hispanic man that worked the evening of 1/6/2024. I want to say Jesus but I could be wrong. This man serviced the entire store, exchanged my battery for a new one, installed it, changed another customers windshield wipers and helped a customer install new headlight lightbulbs. He did this while going back in the store ringing up customers. He was the only associate there so If corporate sees this, Please give this man some help! His ability to remain patient yet service our needs was remarkable! One thing I notice about this store is it generally changes staff a lot. If anybody sees this go ahead and offer this guy a good position or lead role because he is really adding value to this store and helping a lot of people!
