Everything in California seems to be very expensive, so finding Universal RV repair was a miracle. They were very responsive with messages and texts. They sent a technician out to our RV site to give us a free estimate. Within a week of the estimate, they started working on our RV. It was finished in less than 2 weeks. Their work exceeded my expectations!!! They used new fiberglass when necessary and replaced all of the wood support and paneling on the inside. The bunk looks brand new. Even though my wife and I were in the process of purchasing a brand-new motorhome, I wanted to have another pair of eyes look over and test everything. There are hundreds and hundreds of items to check on a motorhome, and James knows them all, and how to test them. I recommend James if you are purchasing new, because before you take your rig off the lot is the best time for you to point out items in need of replacement, repair, or adjustment to the dealer. You are buying a new RV, and you expect everything to be in perfect working order, but you cannot assume it to be. If you are buying used, you MUST use an inspector. You'd be crazy not to just to save a few hundred bucks which you'll probably spend on the first repair. Jim gave us a checklist of every item he inspected, which was exhaustive. I notified them within two weeks after purchase. After much discussion we worked out an agreement to do the repairs to both of our satisfaction. Julio in finance was extremely supportive and was instrumental in coming to terms. Also, John the Service Manager was really a life safer. He searched for replacement parts for 4 weeks and finally got the repair achieved.
