They have the BEST customer service!! Had a small issue with a couple of pairs of running shoes that I had purchased earlier this year. I called Austin (I live in Oregon and have to travel a few hours to get to location) and told him my issues with the shoes I had. I was hesitant to ask for help, but Austin reassured me that they would help me fix my problem with my current shoes. I ended up getting two new pairs of shoes (different brand, of course) and two pairs of insoles. Timothy, the salesman who helped me this time, he did the new computer measuring of my feet and discovered I needed a different size than previously thought. Timothy was exceedingly patient as I tried on several boxes of shoes. I'm so happy that I called in to ask for help. Austin & Timothy solved my problem. I am a very happy customer. I was worried about it being too expensive to buy shoes here, but we were out the door for less than $200 for running shoes, socks and insoles. The service is great, and they are not pushy. I have bought shoes here a few times and was satisfied. I went back today and thought the customer service was poor. A good sales person should realize that you can't use the same sales pitch on every customer. Customers are all different and shouldn't be pushed into what they don't want even if it doesn't fit into what the sales person wants. And never down a competitor and tell the customer that they can go there if the customer wants cheap shoes. read more

About three months ago, our family sat in the auditorium at Rocky Mountain High School and one of the coaches said, " Go see the team at Fleet Feet, for you kiddos needs." I repeated, "Fleet Feet" and "The Village in Meridian" several times over trying to remember where I had saw where they were located as being a frequent visitor to The Village, I must have passed it several if not 10 times over but for the life of me I couldn't recall where it was situated. That weekend, I parked the car on the outskirts of the Boise Coop and walked over to The Village, ( Hey, steps are great.) Fleet Feet is located on the side between both avenues and if you're thinking that all of this is completely useless, ha! you're in for a surprise. I, too, was skeptical walking into a runner's store after spending time in big-box retailers, factory stores, Amazon and the rest but Fleet Feet is different and it's different in the following ways. (1) Alex and the team are simply phenomenal. They care about each and every person who walks in. I've been there three times, and each time Alex, Austin, and/or anyone of the team greets me by name and asks about how we're doing like we've been out-of-touch friends. (2) The time that each of the staff spends with you, getting to know you and what you're looking for is genuine. They're not doing this to up-sell you or empty your wallets. They truly want you to feel better and for your feet to feel fantastic. They are experts in the field. They know running, exercising, jogging, running, track and field and more. (3) There are sizes and styles for everyone. Plus there are all sorts of gadgets, and accessories. (4) The prices are not crazy expensive. Think about being on your feet 8-10 hours a day for 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. Do you really believe that the comfortableness or the pain is worth not investing in your feet? Hey, I'm tight on my budget but while you can get the same selection of shoes on Amazon for essentially a 1 or 2 less, you're not getting the information and care that your feet need. I can assure you that Alex and his team will empty the store shelves to find the right shoe for you. I have been wanting to get back into running for a while but I was always too intimidated to get fitted for an actual shoe. My fiancé and I went into the store and Dillon was awesome. Took the time to talk me through his recommendations and why he recommended them. I asked him about more expensive shoes and I was pleasantly surprised he didn't try to upsell me. My husband and I went in to look for new walking shoes for me. I'm a distance walker (10-13 miles a night) and go through shoes pretty quickly. I last had my stride analyzed by a local running shoe store on State Street but wasn't taken too seriously there. I'm not your typical athlete but take my walking seriously and want the best shoe for my feet, having had multiple surgeries on my feet and ankles. We were helped by Mark who put me through all of their stride and pressure analysis systems and was extremely thorough in his presentation of the facts. He was able to assist me in shoes that I'm hopeful will be just what I need. He was so helpful that my husband, who works on concrete floors 10 hours a day, decided to go through the analysis. I was just at the Meridian Fleet Feet today with my elderly mother who has arthritis in her feet and has had trouble walking. We were helped by Eric (I'm pretty sure that was his name) and he was AMAZING!! Super patient with my mother who has never had her foot scanned or gotten insoles. He explained everything to her every step of the way and made sure she felt comfortable and understood it all. After three shoes she found a great fit but Eric still had her try two other shoes just to be sure. She was walking better even just in the store and loves her shoes... wore them out because she couldnt bear to put the old ones back on. Thank you, Eric! You made an anxious daughter very relieved. I've attended one before, and the vast mix of people from all walks of life that show up for these runs is incredible! They also offers training programs for runners- so if you're looking to start running, or just want to step-up your running game, they can help you accomplish your goals. Now on to the products... Before they pull out one pair of shoes for you to try on they measure your foot, take a look at your arch, evaluate how your foot moves when you walk, and ask you questions about what your fitness goals are. THEN, they bring out a few different pairs of shoes to try on and have you walk around the store and run around out front in them. I ended up deciding on a pair of New Balance sneakers, and I already feel more than amazing about my purchase! I feel like I've been blindly purchasing running shoes until now. It's crazy how wrong all my other pairs of sneakers feel after experiencing what it's like to wear shoes that are actually right for my foot. The shoes I bought were a bit spendy, but I don't even feel the slightest bit guilty for buying them because I know it will pay off in the form of being able to run without my feet cramping! I needed a new pair of shoes and decided to stop in and check out their selection. I was accompanied by my sister, mom and dad who were in town visiting. I ended up buying two pairs of shoes and my mom also bought a pair. What great service. The co-owner checked out my gate and recommended several shoes for me. I tried a completely different brand than I was used to and she advised if the shoes don't work for me to bring them in for a different pair. They stand behind their products and provide much better service than the big chain stores. I highly recommend their store. Update - I had to return the pair of shoes after a few runs. Just not the shoe for me. They gladly took them back (no receipt needed if you are in their system) and exchanged for my normal brand. If that wasn't great, I also had a loyalty credit from my purchase that allowed me to get some new running shorts. I will be back for my next purchase. read more

You've probably heard an old saying that says something like "If Mama's not happy, ain't NOBODY happy!" I would add, "If Mama's FEET aren't happy, ain't no way MAMA'S gonna be happy!! Well, I've been living that, from one foot or ankle problem ~both actually, my feet have been MISERABLE!! And as retired seniors, hubby & I wanna start a walking regimen for our better health but I need shoes that are comfortable & fit for a good daily walk. I had seen ads for "Fleet Feet" store at the Village in Meridian & decided I'd give 'em a try. So my husband & I drove over there Sunday evening & went in at about 7 p.m., a pleasant young man named Austin, greeted us & we explained our purpose for being there & he ushered us to a row of comfortable seats where he then had me remove my terribly uncomfortable sneakers & then escorted me the few steps to a 3-D imaging device on which I stood while he captured the images to then show us once seated again....it was a very cool device for foot measurement! I always knew that our feet flattened out as we age, & our arches [basically] just collapse under the weight of a life time! So it isn't just our skin and/or hair that changes, our feet do as well....get 'em properly measured folks! Austin asked a few pertinent questions related to styles and colors & excused himself to zip into the back & locate some ideas he had in mind for me. He returned with 4 boxes of different shoes which he unwrapped & prepped for me to slip on & walk around the store in. For a variety of reasons, none of the first four worked & after a bit more chatting, we decided I should try a New Balance model. It is AWESOME.....the shoes are a perfect fit & they're nice looking too! I am NOT an athletic type (wanna be but never was) but I DO love to walk outside in the sun preferably but will take whatever God sends us weather wise & go anyway, if possible. I am eager to get out there & get healthier! So to wrap up my too long note here, THANK YOU to Fleet Feet!! And to their excellent hiring choices & offering such a well trained & wonderful employee, as was Austin, to assist a couple of old seniors on a Sunday night! Fleet Feet not only provides valuable information on finding the right shoes for you and your family, but they encourage and help motivate kids to run! Brandon was amazing with my other son during The Fastest Kid in the Valley race, that they put on. My son was getting behind and feeling down on himself right from the start and just started crying. Brandon took the time to talk to him about always doing the best he can and doing it for himself. Being new to the running, jogging for me right now, world I was just using a pair of running shoes I bought at a non-specialized shoe store and it was really starting to show in my ankles and knees. So I decided to go in to this store at a recommendation of a good friend. I am so thankful I listened to my friend! I felt so comfortable the minute I walked in.
