The goal of today was to find the right size and fit for a pair of Birkenstocks for my wife. We started our journey at Journeys. We were prompted greeted by Wyatt and asked if he could be of help. I proclaimed that my stunning wife wanted to have that "girl' look for an upcoming vacation. I am not sure if Wyatt was laughing or trying to hold back a laugh. He asked for the size and then I said to him, " Given the size, just bring out whatever you have in a 41" 41 is a US 10 -10.5 in women. My eyes started to wander over to the Doc Marten display and then I suddenly remembered the 'Married with Children' show with Al Bundy being a shoe salesman and it was at that moment that Wyatt reappeared with a stack of 6 Birkenstocks. We each took three boxes and he left us to our own devices which I was appreciative of. Sometimes, some salespersons will stand over, gawking and gazing like they are collecting snapshots so that they can be shared later. I was super thankful he did not do that. We went through six pairs and found the right size but not the preferred color. Understandable. Not every location has every variation and we had made it known that we were going to purchase online at the beginning. Wyatt knew that he was not going to make a sale was he was ever attentive, knowledgeable, and non-judgemental. What more could anyone ask for these days. The color that my wife wanted was Ginger and the model was Mayari. Wyatt let us take a snapshot of the box so we could properly order online we returned home. Ordering was a breeze since we had the size, model name, and color. The Birkenstocks were ordered last night online through Journey's website but it would not have been possible without Wyatt's assistance. The service business can be an ocean of shark-infested nastiness and it's a welcome change of pace when instead of drowning and getting chomped on, someone provides a life raft. Thanks, Wyatt for sharing your life raft with us yesterday. read more
