Quick, authentic and delicious! I often find that the places with no frills serve the best food and…read morethis is no exception. It's very reasonably priced too. They do a deal at lunchtime where they cook up a few dishes and you can have whichever of them for £2 and add rice or noodles for £2. I had a chicken masaman curry and rice the other day for £4! You can barely get a McDonalds for £4! What's on offer varies for the lunch deal but they do tend to stick to popular dishes. They do proper yummy thai prawn crackers too (the orange ones that are slightly spicy) with sweet chilli sauce and play Thai music and the staff are lovely. If it was 30 degrees outside you'd feel like you were in Thailand! Decor is basic, long benches for seating and toilets aren't the best! They've got some pictures of the food on the wall, along with the specials boards and menu. I love it when there's pics of the food because I like to try new things and this helps with what to expect. There's also lots of interesting traditional Thai decor; old photos in frames and some offerings for buddha and pictures of the king. Don't go here for a night out kind of meal because it's quite quick to arrive and there is only a small bar, but definitely go if you want a fresh and delicious, cheap meal. It's the best in town for thai in my opinion.

Super casual and super tasty, just how Thai food should be…read more Thai Pan has been renamed 'Street Food'. I think this was to reflect their new day/lunch menu that, during the summer, they sell through their open windows. I've eaten here so many times that I now have 2 dishes that I rarely stray from. The Gosereng Malaysian Noodles and Chicken in Chilli Oil with Pineapple Rice. Both are absolutely delicious! The noodles are spicy with lots of veg and flavour. The chicken in chilli oil is saucier than you would imagine, it's not just flooded in oil. The pineapple rice is so good, not overly sweet and with a nice flavour of its own. Think wagamamas style noodles benches, chilli pots on the table and an all Thai cast.

Cosy Club - It's really grand in Cosy Club, the site of an old bank.

Lovely environs and decor. The menu was fairly classic with some refreshing twists (eg. we had a…read morestandard English breakfast with chorizo beans, a flair that my partner really liked) and all was delish. The service was very attentive but not obtrusive at all.

We first entered the grand old bank that is now Cosy Club last week for breakfast and promised…read moreourselves that we would return for dinner, so this evening I had tapas (£11.50 for three small dishes) that consisted of small Cumberland sausages, chorizo and fish. The other dish was a New York steak ciabatta (with amazing chips). We ordered wine and washed the tasty meal down before following it up with sticky toffee pudding and a decidedly evil peanut butter cheesecake (which comes in a glass). We like it here. It's grand and light, and the food is good and reasonably priced. What would we change? We would upgrade the condiments, so that the ketchup is better, and that authentic maple syrup is used on our pancakes rather than golden syrup, which is thick and doesn't taste of much. We would also have preferred our meals a bit hotter, as we felt like we had to wolf it down before it got cold. But these are small niggles that can be easily fixed, and probably will be at some point if the professionalism of the staff is anything to go by. They're friendly, not over-familiar, not too pushy, and they seem to want to go out of their way to make sure you enjoy Cosy Club. The wine list is short, but will hopefully improve in time. As of writing, it's only been open a couple of weeks. I look forward to being able to buy Champagne by the glass!

I cannot wait to use it as a marinade as its earthy, chunky, savory, and more of the consistency of a gravy or chutney versus ketchup. I ordered the moo less pie gluten free which was flavorful, the crust was flaky, buttery and great flavor. The gravy complimented the dish well and for the price of less than 10 pounds for a pie and a side this place is a staple of english food at an original price.

They were nice enough, but they spent most of their time standing outside smoking. They have LOADS of clearly labeled vegan options, which is always appreciated. I got the Mothership: This Isn't A Chicken & Bacon Pie with leeks and white wine, minty mushy peas, crispy onions, gravy, and mash. It was edible; just soooooooo much less flavorful than it should have been and could have been given its components. The pie was mostly crust with very little filling; the mash was also barely there compared to their marketing photos on social which make it seem like you're getting some enormous tower of delicious eats. The food was bland, the atmosphere was bland, the experience was bland. There are better pie and mash places in Bath!
