At BTP, you will find the most sandwich and full-bodied semi-sweet pancakes you will ever eat in your life. Flavoured with a cascade of maple syrup, they will be the perfect match for the fried bacon with which they are served. Tired of avocado toast - let's face it, I can do it myself at home, without spending nine effing pounds - I wanted to try the famous eggs Benedict. Accompanied by two slices of sourdough toast bread and hollandaise sauce they were fire! I also wanted to add some bacon just to keep it light... because why not?! I was expecting classic American bacon in thin, crunchy and super scorched strips, but I think this is the English version: thick and almost rounded slices, more like a slice of meat, but still delicious af. The meat was tender and cooked evenly, nicely browned at the edges.

I had an incredible experience at the BTP. The staff all great you with a smile as soon as you walk…read morein. And also their initiative to single use is clear, which is impressive! The menu includes a vegan dish in every category. Along with veggie options, and meat too! I ordered the vegan veggie breakfast for under £7. My partner ordered the vegan banh mi. After we ordered we headed outside to their beautiful outdoor garden. They claim to have the largest on park street. There was a lot of seating in the sun and the shade. Our food came out in a timely matter and was absolutely delicious. They veggie breakfast was so tasty! The only thing I'd change would be to add a vegan sausage or avocado in place of the missing egg from the standard veggie breakfast. The banh mi was perfect as is! We finished our food and soaked up some son. Everything about our experience was enjoyable and we will definitely be returning!

It's a Haven! Then to top it off the cafe and bar serves excellent fine craft beers and support and arts and salads. I've had the fish and chips, the beetroot soup, and a butternut squash salad with arugula, sauteed red onions topped with hazelnuts. Delicious. Everytime I get the Goose IPA but they also have hand pours and lagers. You can take the food and drink into the theaters. But you can just stay at the bar, the staff is friendly, the music is good, and stare out at the river

I arrived before my friend and decided to change my babies nappy before we ate, the baby changing facilities were in the ladies toilet (great for me as I am indeed a lady, not sure if they had any facilities that a man could use to change a nappy) the changing table was clean and there was plenty of room for my 13 month old. I then found a table and managed to move the furniture round a little bit and grabbed a high chair, the high chair was perfect for my child but may not have been so great a few months ago when she was smaller as it didn't have a tray and didn't have a back but as I say great for us right now. My friend arrived and we ordered food. There was a good selection of lighter meals but also bigger meals too. I ordered a jacket pot with cheese and tuna and my friend had falafel, the food arrived pretty quickly which was good as my friend was on his lunch break so only had an hour, unfortunately they forgot my cheese but quickly and without question brought out a big pot of grated cheese. The jacket potato was fluffy on the inside and nice and crispy on the outside, it came with a delicious side salad and the cheese was really tasty mature cheddar cheese, the tuna had just the right amount of mayo with it. I washed it down with a pint if draft cider (I think it was bounders) which was a bit of a treat on a school day lunch time ! They did have a good choice of children's food but my little one likes to share mine so we didn't get her anything separate. The cafe was busy but not too busy so there was a nice buzz about the place and not so quiet that I couldn't have a good old gossip with my friend. So a cheap and cheerful lunch for under £6 in a nice airy cafe was a great way to spend a Thursday lunch time !

I am not quite sure how I can top Melanie M's 'Ode to Mange Tout'! don't think it's possible!…read more A nice little cafe diner located pretty bang smack between what would be classed as old town and new town. This place draws in alot of custom whenever the market is on, and has a nice steady trickle when it isn't! So beautiful little dishes for snacking on, and having on the go, like a hot pork sandwich for £2.85 or soup to go for £1.95, it's definately worth a check in. Thus if you're after a delicious and cheap yet sometimes slightly irritable sandwich than Mange Tout is for you. The range of baguettes and sarnies has to be one of the better selections in Bristol. Such fillers as hot pork and stuffing or bangers and mash are a league ahead of Tesco's BLT or cheese and chive. The coffee here is pretty standard but it's acceptably fresh and delicious. One can choose from either sitting inside or out depending on the weather, although it can get quite busy at lunch. A huge mirror the width of the restaurant doubles the place in two from the outside and from inside provides an excellent place to check your style!

But you gotta ask for it. As a Brit and a Bristolian, I have to say that this is about as good as it gets. However, I feel compelled to write one extra thing though. Although the quality of their pies is beyond question. I have to admit that it's not the sort of thing that most people would serve up at home. Normally, there's your pie, then there's your potatoes and veggies, all served in dollops, sort of, kind of, approximately. The presentation at Pie Minster is different. If my Mum served me a pie dinner with the same sort of presentation that Pie Minister does, I'd think that my Mum had gone off her rocker. However, what Pie Minster does is definitely a very good second best. Another thing, at £8.50 as the normal price for the Mothership, I have to say that there's plenty of other ways to spend a lot less (like a fiver or so) and get a half way decent Indian/Chinese/whatever. However, those are take away meals and at least at Pie Minister, you can sit down. They also have a "frequent visitor" type card. The card is free, and you just get it stamped every time you buy a pie and/or hot drink. Once you've reached the required total (9 I think), you get a free pie/hot drink. They take credit/debit cards.

They also do takeaway but no-one in your office will be your friend if you make them smell such deliciousness when they only have a ham sandwich and a packet of low fat crisps. Temporary stands on Corn Street / outside Tescos during market days, so Wednesday for the Farmers Market, Saturdays and the first Sunday of every month for the Slow Food Market.

However, they do have some decent deals on throughout the year, usually seasonal offers which seem a good idea at the time but when you think logically about it, don't seem such a bargain after all. Cooperative is fine if youre in a rush to get all your essentials in one place, but the area by the harbour boasts so many great sandwich/baguette joints that it would be a shame to spend more money on less quality.

Flavalanche? More like flavafail…read more I was highly anticipating taking my American friends to what I thought would be a high point of their visit to Bristol - a truly wonderful city in the main. However, my expectations were immediately lowered when I observed the far from endearing exterior of the shop. I thought the situation could have been rectified by the novelty of the product inside, however, this was far from the case due to just 2 from 4 machines having any fro-yo in them. Nonetheless, my disenchantment only increased when I found out that 2 of the 4 remaining fro-yo flavors were melted - how did this place pass a food inspection?! One of the two flavors was coffee, so if you aren't a coffee-lover like me, you were only left with the one - original. Now, onto the toppings. The choices were limited and I was not impressed by the lack of fresh fruit. The interior decor of the shop made it uninviting. It was dark and dingy and the worker was not there to greet us as we walked in. I would have hoped for more hospitality. The worker sat on her phone while we attempted to serve our runny, melted yogurt and did not offer to help or even apologize for the ruined product. Just like an avalanche, this was an utter disaster.
