This is my favourite Indian Restaurant in Rochdale. You will be greeted with a warm and friendly…read morereception from the waiters. There is limited parking facilities, as the restaurant faces the main road. The food menu is very varied and dishes can be altered to suit your individual tastes/requirements. The food always comes freshly prepared from the kitchen, and served 'trolley style', to your table. There is a satisfactory drinks tarrif, which includes alcoholic options. The atmosphere & ambience are very pleasant, with Indian influences reflected in the decor and music played. The toilet facilities are basic, but clean and well stocked. The cost is reasonable, but can add up if you order a few dishes/courses. The sweets are the usual type of frozen choices offered in most indian restaurants, and special coffees/coffee are available, to you, after your meal. Service is good and the waiters are very polite and eager to please. Take Away service is also available, at a discounted cost. I would definately recommend a visit to this restaurant and you do not always have to book, but week-ends can get busy.

I wonder how someone as travelled as Snoop71 (below) can give a restaraunt like this four stars. I…read morecan only presume she has led a very sheltered life. This morning, as my guts are slowly trying to digest the small quantity of food I managed to eat from the Bay of Bengal, I am trying to remember a worse curry I've ever eaten. Even the most basic, cheapest standard indian takeaway offers better taste. Certainly a ready meal from any supermarket offers superior taste and variety. The place is clean, but hopelessly old fashioned. The staff keen to refil your drinks and attentive, but the food. Oh dear. Prawn Puri was a hint of things to come, served without any embellishment, an oily slick sauce holding tough prawns. Our Cauliflower Bhaji side dish had a deep flavour I couldn't place until, of course, yes, that really is burnt garlic isn't it. Chicken Bhuna arrived, served in an identical sauce to our starter, but with chicken the texture and dryness of a scouring pad. Revolting. Lamb Karahi served sizzling was a slightly darker version of "the sauce" and not quite as revolting as the other dishes but our enthusiasm was waining. Any chance of a quite evening was ruined by the full size plasma TV's (two of them) showing the X-Factor! The Naan bread appeared to be from a packet, the rice was nicely made. None of it was cold. None of it made us ill, but truly this is indian that is at best, spectacularly mediocre, and at worst, truly hopeless. It's stuck in the '70s. Far, far better to make the trip up the valley to Zaika Cuisine in Cornholme, or just get on a train and go to Bradford for a proper curry at the Kashmir. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

This end terraces has not much going for it externally apart from a manky sign and an a-board . But…read morewhen I found about this place made me glad I ventured in! The atmosphere inside is cold and I don't mean that from the staff but the actual building is cold ! So I tend to keep a hoodie in the car. Me and the lady opted for a chicken tikka shaslick naan @ £4 each I thought it was going to be a bit below par . But it should have arrived with a fanfare . Chicken was succulent and rich in flavour, the onions and peppers were on point ! And the naan was fresh and fluffy but after all the juices has soaked in , it's heavenly! You get sauce and salad on the side but it's worth it ! Equally at the village you can opt for the buffet, now the reason it gets three stars is because in the time we were there nobody came to check the buffet or give anything a stir. Plus there were no napkins on tables or even available until I asked! If you go is avoid the buffet and let the chefs create you a taste sensation! Ps will leave you a bit giddy from the food colouring ! Also it could do with a bit of a spring clean inside

Small indian cafe that used to do buffet and good food. It has gone downhill since i last visited…read moreand no longer does buffet. But does do a lunch menu curry and bread for £3 if you need gf as in you wnat rice then they charge you for the rice even though you dont have bread. Food is now only mediocre and i wont be returing. It is also one of the coldest paces i have eaten it could be warmer eating on the street. Toilets are also terrible Not one to try
