My sober Kebab House is Taj's, in fact, last night was the first time I had ever gone there after having had a couple of drinks (At the Brockmans Gin event in Epernay), and whatever it is I choose to have it is always very nice. Last night I opted for the classic donner and seek on a garlic naan (I hadn't had any tea : ) ) And it was the perfect end to what had been avery fun and enlightening evening. Sunrise is my mum and dads favourite Chinese takeaway and we had 15 minutes to put an order in for 7 people before they closed! You can imagine the scene. My brother and I quickly gathered the order and jumped in the car (they're collection only and Ross hadn't been drinking - safety first people). We got there and it took a fair few minutes to get the order right but we got there. If this was in London most places would have turned their noses up and said no with 10 minutes left till closing but this wonderful couple took our order with a smile. For around 15 dishes it was only £62.50 - unbelievable value! While we were waiting they offered us a free bag of prawn crackers and a seven up each. Once the large box of food was ready they continued to give us a free family starter box filled to the brim of goodies and an additional 3 bags of prawn crackers! WOWZA! It's safe to say we ordered too much food but by gosh was it good! The stand outs were the duck spring rolls, fillet steak satay and the crispy shredded beef but it was all great! A family favourite for us and if you can drive to collect it I would :)
