The prices are mid-range, but well well worth it. If you go on a regular basis you get to know the staff well and they make you feel even more welcome. My favourite place to eat, just lovely.

The entrance as soon as you enter the restaurant upstairs is very inviting and the staff are extremely polite. After I ordered my food to take-away I was shown to a seat to wait and was given a complimentary glass of fresh orange juice. The food took aroung 5-10 minutes to prepare which I was fine with as everything is made fresh. When I recieved my meal and drove home I was very pleasantly surprised to find 4 complimentry onion bhaji. As I tucked into my curry I found that the Korma sauce was very nice and thick and creamy but not to thick or creamy to make it inedable or sickly which I have consumed in the past from other take-aways. The Bhuna was excellent, I could not fault this curry at all. In both the Korma and the Bhuna, the chicken was in very large chunks and pure white breast, This restaurant does not skimp on it's ingredients like most places. Overall, I would give this restaurant a very big thumbs up and if your looking for a place to take your loved ones for a quiet family meal, you've got to give the Sangam Balti House in Lostock Hall a visit. I can assure you that they will definatly see me again and again.

Quality meat in said curries - and you don't have to play "hunt the chicken" through your sauce either. Breads are light, fluffy and perfectly textured. Well worth a punt if you enjoy good Anglo-Indian food xx

The place was packed, which was a good omen, so we ordered drinks at the bar and waited for a table. We were seated at around 8:30, having ordered popadoms, 2 dishes, 2x rice and a naan. We were disappointed in the food, the butter chicken was bland (I know it's supposed to be a mild dish, but still). The ginger zinger chicken was tasty, but left an unpleasant aftertaste, overpoweringly of ginger. Most disappointing were the portion sizes (about 4 pieces of chicken in the butter chicken) and not a massive amount of rice or a huge naan. Overall, I didn't feel 'full' after the meal, which is how it should be. The staff were efficient but a bit hovery and not especially friendly (why are so many places so keen to whisk your plates away before you've finished your last mouthfull??) We were ignored on the way out by at least 2 members of staff. Overall, won't be in a hurry to return.

Bangla Spice - The dining room, nicely decorated to appear high end but the dress code is very casual.

The a la carte menu has a wide choice and there is something for the novice to seasoned Indian diner to choose from. Bangla Spice give generous portions so you'll not go hungry!! The Sunday buffet is also good with rotating weekly menu. Advanced publication of this can be found each weekend on their Facebook page. The currently have 5 different menus which always offer a mild, medium and hot main dish choice. This is in our opinion the best Indian restaurant in leyland and Chorley and one of the best in south ribble.

We had a couple of beers in two local pubs first (look for those reviews) and then to here for dinner. Its a large place by Indian standards probably about 100 covers or so. We were seated as soon as we arrived which isn't my favourite but they dont really have a bar area to have a drink and check out the menu. The service was good but too quick and that's why they lost a star. Don't take away the papads plate whilst we are still chewing the last bite, don't pounce on me the split second I finish my beer to see if I want another. I'm sure the guys meant well but somebody needs to train them a little better. However they are still 4 stars for an outstanding meal of chicken madras, Lamb masala, dhall, rice and bread. Came to the princely sum of 35 quid, I'm sure that's great value. Try it , you will be glad you did, just slow down guys!!
