My layers were uneven and my previously thick bangs were sparse, uneven, and had hugh gaps. Fortunately, another stylist at another salon was able to tidy my cut so I can now ditch my baseball cap. For some other salons, you have to sign up for an account first before any appointment times are shown, and if you go through all the hoopla to sign up and don't like the appointment times, then too bad, you already gave away your name, E-mail, phone number to that salon. Here's a Google review you can use for **Divas Latinas**:…read more --- I recently had a keratin treatment at Divas Latinas, and my experience was extremely disappointing. I was quoted $150 over the phone, but when it came time to check out, they charged me $300. When I asked about the price difference, the stylist laughed and said, "Oh, the receptionist doesn't speak English very well, that's probably why she gave you the wrong price." I was shocked and frustrated. My appointment was also incredibly delayed. Despite having an appointment, I waited an hour and 45 minutes before being seen, and I ended up spending five hours there in total. The salon has no structure, and from what I saw, many of the staff aren't even licensed. During the treatment, my scalp was burning, and they over-processed my hair. They told me the burning sensation was normal and even put a fan on me, but I ended up with severe burns on my scalp. Now, I have terrible dandruff, and my once long, healthy hair is now damaged and much shorter. The treatment felt more like a relaxer than a keratin treatment. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, and I'll be contacting the state board about my experience. I've been seeing Ginger off and on for over 14+ years now. She is HANDS DOWN the best colorist I've…read moreever had in my life! Sound extreme? Well, that's how seriously I take my hair color. I was introduced to Ginger by my mother, and I knew it was a match made in heaven after I walked out that salon door the first time Ginger did my hair! Fast forward to a few years later, I relocated back to New York City. For the first year or so, I traveled back and forth from SC to NYC to have Ginger color my hair (I told you I take my hair color seriously!), but after a while, I knew it wasn't economical to keep up with such an expensive habit. I started to try some of the top colorists here in NYC (and also paid top dollar $400+ NOT including the blowout because that's always additional ). Eventually, I found someone that was "OKAY" and stayed with them for the last few years but was never excited with the outcome of my hair. After my last hair appt here, I looked at my hair and just felt SO underwhelmed, and for $375, I want to feel HAPPY and that I got my money's worth! I finally said screw it, I'm going back to Ginger. I flew into Charleston on Friday with super dull and ashy blonde hair, and I got back on that plane with the most beautiful golden blonde highlights that I haven't had in so long!! I walked on that plane feeling like F*CKING Heidi Klum!!!! I FEEL AND LOOK F*CKING FANTASTIC, all thanks to my miracle worker, Ginger. Even after having good color jobs from the top salons in NYC, (Rita Hazan, Frederic Fekkai, Sally Hershberger), Ginger at Nola's tops them all! Ginger, thank you for making me feel and look beautiful again. I'll never leave your side again.

In this change I was looking to find someone closer to home and someone that had evenings open. I also was looking for someone with experience in working with curly hair (which is not as easy as people might expect.) My friend's daughter also has curly hair and had a great experience with Krista at The Winchester Spa and Salon and so after 5+ months with no cut or color to my hair I was ready to give someone new a try. Krista was knowledgable, friendly, and very skilled at her craft. The team assisting her were very friendly and helped in getting me checked in and set up. I was very happy with her attention to detail, notes for future appointments, and reviewing my options with me to help me achieve my style goals while keeping my hair healthy. I have even booked out my next 4-5 appointments which is a huge help to me. I came to hear of Krista via a recommendation from a friend and would not hesitate to recommend her to others as well. The Salon itself was very attractive, clean, and made me feel pampered. I was impressed by their list of available services as well. Overall I was very happy with the change to a new Salon and new stylist.

Every few months I get haircut and my toenail's done anyways today. I called because I'm having car trouble and won't be able to make my appointment for today. This afternoon, but I wanted to reschedule for next Tuesday in a few days. It's something beyond my control. But the woman on the phone said, unfortunately, she has to charge me 50% of my visit, even if I'm rescheduling, even if it was something beyond my control. So if I was in a car accident and laid up in the hospital, they would just charge me anyway. And I care, that's fine. Maybe it's not a lot of money, but it's a lot of money to me. I spent about $800 a year at the salon, and they charged me $80, which was half of my visit today. And I won't be going back so they took 80 for something beyond my control, but they lost a customer. I'm pretty decent customer. I don't know, like I said, maybe it's not a lot of money to them, but it was to me.
