If you want a break from haggis or fish & chips, then this restaurant adds a nice dose of spices to Scottland. It's not just another Turkish kebab shop, but focuses on savory dishes that are dough-centric and baked to order. The pide and lahmacun were especially delicious!
Three Cheese Pide: Reminded of a bit of Khachapuri, a similar Georgian cheese bread. As a cheese lover, this was perfect. More cheese than a pizza, so very indulgent. Loved how fresh the dough was. Even though it was huge, I devoured it no problem.
Lahmacun: Love these! Super thin dough with lots of nice meat bits on top. Good spices too. Because it's so thin, it goes down easily.
Shawarmacun: I was thinking this might be like the lahmacun, but with shawarma meat on top. Well, I was wrong. Turned out to be one big shawarma wrap with lots of fresh veggies wrapped in that thin fresh dough. It was nice for sure, but not was I expecting. You can get wraps like this at many places, so I might have ordered something else if I knew. read more
