I've had Long's AC out on a few different occasions, and none of the repairs were inexpensive by…read moreany means. One of the more recent repair recommendations was close to $1,800, which made me pause. I decided to get a second opinion, and was offered a much simpler solution--adding a second cold air return--which resolved the issue and actually improved system efficiency for around $400 total. My takeaway isn't just about Long's, but HVAC work in general. Always get two to three bids, especially for air conditioning. I've had multiple companies work on the same house, and it still wasn't running correctly until a simpler, more experienced solution was applied. You don't want inexperienced technicians guessing or experimenting on your system. You want someone knowledgeable who's been doing this work for a long time. Ask questions, challenge repair recommendations, and require that they put it in writing that they've correctly diagnosed the issue and that the repair will fix the problem. There's no reason you can't ask for that before approving the work.

They sold me a good A/C system, great price, runs smoothly…read moreand is much more quieter than the last unit Keith installed in my home approx. 15yrs ago, and that unit was perfect never needing anything but the regular yearly tune up / cleaning. The new units are a bit different? They use a colder freon and sweat a bit more than the older units, especially when located in the garage in FL during the hottest summer months. Well after a few service calls to Keith and Terry, which they came right over to do what they could to try and stop as much of the condensation as possible. After multiple attemps and my continued calls for service, Keith brought over another technician and HVAC instructor Ron, to observe and listen to my concerns about the excessive condensation. Within several mins. Ron pulled Keith aside and put their heads together deciding the best corse of action would be to completely remove the Air Handler from where is sat, sturdy up the base it sits on, raise it up a bit and reinstall it with a little less tilt to the drain line side. Keith & Ron were here on a weekend for aprox 6hrs working very hard, not an easy job by no means, but they did a fantastic job. Wow, i gotta say "I couldn't be happier or more impressed with Keith and Rons great customer service and resolve to fix the issue. Thank you. BlackBeltB PSL,FL
