Once upon a time ago, this Walgreens was Family Meds Pharmacy. It's located in the building that houses Family Care Partners. I found this pharmacy about 15 years ago when I started seeing one of the doctor at Family Care. It became my primary pharmacy very quickly because of the awesome customer service. There was only one pharmacist and two technicians and they all knew me. I get so many meds filled each month, that I would walk in the door and they'd say, "Hi Amy!" Sad or good? You decided! LOL Then around 2006 (if memory servers correctly), Walgreens bought them out. My same pharmacist and technicians stayed on for several years after the change. Even though some things changed, I still received the same great service as always because they had known me for so long. I'm sad to say now that my pharmacists and techs are gone. I guess things can't always stay the same. But, I do like the pharmacists and techs they have there now. I still get much better customer service at this Walgreens than I do from the big stores. When I say small, I mean small. There's no drive-thru... you'll actually have to walk into the building and then into the pharmacy. They have a few aisles and you can find your more common over-the-counter medications here. They also have some snacks available and even a small selection of greeting cards. The big Walgreens over on the westside of town have been ticking me off for a while now. They manage to screw my prescriptions up several times per month. I'm very glad to be back on this side of town again so I can use this particular Walgreens. I know they can be trusted!

My family and I have shopped at Walgreens for as long as I can remember, and I can honestly say…read morethat it is the place to go from prescriptions to any other items. I have found so many items at a very good price that has kept me from having to go to other outlets saving me time and money. I have been in other states where there was no Walgreens and I can honestly say how disappointed I was. I was in California and there were Walgreens stores which made me feel like home. I do not know how many years they have been around, but I know I have lived too many years; however, Walgreens has served me and my family at least 68.years.

In general, I'm a big fan of Publix Pharmacies, but this one really is as good as it gets. The…read morepharmacists and techs are just as nice as can be. Whether I am there in person or speaking with them on the phone, they are always so polite and are more than happy to answer all my questions. They have never once lost a prescription of mine and I've never had a problem getting a refill. I should be able to say that for every pharmacy, but the big chains like Walgreens and CVS really try my nerves each and every single month. If I had a nickel for every time one of the big chains has screwed something up, I'd be a pretty wealthy woman! They also fill prescriptions pretty quickly. When entering the pharmacy and dropping one off, there's hardly every more than a 30 minute wait for it to be filled. I generally have some shopping to do in the grocery part of the store, so by the time I'm finished shopping, my prescription is always ready. I love Publix because they have some prescriptions that are 100% free. I do have really great insurance with very low co-pays, but hey, I still always prefer free! Some of the prescriptions they offer for free are: Amlodipine, Lisinopril, Metformin, and five different antibiotics (Amoxicillin, Ampicillin, Sulfamethoxazole/Trimethoprim, Ciprofloxacin, and Penicillin VK).

Do not use this pharmacy. We have had issues since coming here. First they didn't know how to bill…read moreTricare for our son and lied about it and just used a coupon instead but said they used insurance (ex tech I know how to read the receipts). Secondly there is always a long wait. You can be the only person standing there in line and have a full pharmacy of employees and there's always at least 10 minutes before someone greets you or acknowledges you. We would of never not greeted a customer and let them know we'd be right with them. I was a pharmacy tech so I have empathy but it's been enough at this point. Publix texts me TWICE (second text was today) I have refills available okay so I request to have it filled. The bottle says 2 refills. I get there and for the whole week since last Friday they never let me know what was going on now Friday afternoon when my medicine is nearly gone I'm being told my dr is no longer at my office and that I have no refills?? I tried to explain I definitely still had refills and show the texts they sent (which some reason the tech had a hard time reading the one sentence text and just stared at my phone for a straight minute) and that my dr is still there as far as I know?? But you could just tell they were done helping me and had no interest in correcting their mistake. It was like talking to a wall. I now have contacted my doctor to figure what is going on and to take steps to switch pharmacies on a Friday so unlikely to get my meds before Monday. The prepaid line shit is a joke when they let people also pay for the groceries lol how is that prepaid? Also the tech couldn't figure out how tell if the meds where already paid for so it took 15 minutes to cash the lady out for a prepaid transaction. It's ridiculous. You really shouldn't need to do prepaid for just pick ups if you had well trained staff. Publix does not value my time or my heath so I will not be giving them my business. I have dealt with military and VA pharmacies for years that are notoriously bad and I'll be switching back to the base pharmacy that's how bad it is here.
