I ONLY REVIEW NACHOS. Flanigan's has been a South Florida institution since 1959. Know that I have been going to Flanagan's for most of my life. Their fried dolphin is legendary. Their Rock'n Rib Rolls are the stuff of dreams. Their nachos? Someone stopped caring about those a long time ago and apparently nobody noticed. They promised "a mountain of crispy chips piled with melted cheese." What arrived was coarsely shredded cheddar that never melted, stale chips mixed in with the fresh ones, and iceberg lettuce chunks -- not shredded lettuce as advertised -- actively releasing water onto everything underneath. The Fork Rule was violated. Game over. The chili buried underneath was actually decent. Which makes this whole thing even sadder. This plate looks like a mountain and eats like a disappointment. Whether this is a one-off or standard operating procedure, I can't say. The food was delicious. We had the rib egg rolls for an appetizer. I had ribs for dinner. My hubby ordered the firecracker shrimp but it wasn't like what we have back home, he didn't rate it as high as the other dishes we tried. I had the blue chip martini and it was yummy. We went back and he had the wings which he said was really good! I had the chicken tenders and they were also great. Overall I would definitely go back. They have such a great variety. read more

Flanigans in Deerfield Beach is always packed on the weekends and provides a key west style atmosphere. The hostess takes your walk up reservation and alerts your cell phone as the table becomes ready. Only a fifteen minute wait which was not bad. Finally sat at a table near the bar and met with the server, Nicole, who introduced herself, took our order and was attentive and pleasant. The slab of ribs and the side loaded baked potato were ready within ten minutes. The sweet cole slaw was mouth watering. I added the Flanigan's bbq sauce and began a full assault on the ribs, which are consistently fall off the bone tender at every location. Long time beach favorite! I can eat my dinner in my bathing suit comfortably! All day happy hours and great affordable pricing for rather large portion sizes. Great for families, which you will always see plenty of. Is it gourmet? Nope... but the baby back ribs are always tender and fall off the bone, the burger is huge and the optional toppings are varied enough, their few seafood options are solid, with the tuna being a really decent portion, and never overcooked. Drinks can be weak, but they're also cheap, so add a shot if need be. I love the beach vibe and sitting outdoors in the heat eating a burger with cocktails always feels like vacation. Friendly servers, always a little forgetful but they're also welcome to reminders. Consistent for over a decade I'm never disappointed coming here. It's right across from Deerfield beach so it can get busy, join the waitlist online and get a head start. Can't go wrong with Flanigans! I keep watching the loaded nachos but have yet to try... apparently they're complimentary on Mondays with a beverage pitcher.... Plan to try next visit! read more

I cane here during a beach day since it was the easiest thing to pick up and the do online waitlist which is amazing specially for a location by the beach . We got seated outside and it wasn't too busy so our food came out fairly quick. Overall it was ok nothing too crazy , the shrimp were good , but the sauce wasn't great . Great service with great variety of food from Ribs to Seafood. Had the best fried shrimp I've had in years. Specials include salad, garlic rolls and a drink - wine, draft, or soft drink. My family had ribs and wings so we had a nice assortment. Fishing adventures are everywhere in pictures on the walls. Some remember Flanigan. Chubsy Danny has no business being a Manager and should stick with sampling all the food coming out of the kitchen. Our group of 14 waited over an hour and half to be seated out on the street corner only to be immediately rained on. Waiter laughed at situation and joked loudly with fellow dipshits "Danny won his bet". They made no effort so we left and walked up to Amante's Italian restaurant. We're seated immediately and had a great meal. Spent a fortune there on drinks, apps and entrees. Flannigan's is run by a bunch of "don't give a shit" kids. Avoid! read more

A fun lively, beach community spot! Great burgers and onion straws enough to feed a small army! And a pretty extensive happy hour something for everyone a great local comfortable place just to relax and hang out. It is a little dark inside, but they also have outside seating. We sat at the bar and the the bartenders were attentive and great service. We definitely will be back next time. We're in Florida. read more

The food seemed typical "tourist" style and pre-made. The Philly sandwich tasted like it was made with gyro meat that had been fried several times. The chicken dinner was very dry and covered in an overly thick breading. The chicken wings were similar--burnt and dry. Nothing was inedible, but it wasn't an experience I'd remember for the flavor. If I want bbq ribs Flanigans in my opinion is far better than other restaurants. The sweet tangy sauce and the moist rib meat puts a smile on my face. Had a fifteen minute wait but was sat next to the bar which is much better than the patio at scolding 90 degrees. This was the first Flanigan's I've ever been to and I enjoyed it! The vibe was fun and felt dive-y and there were also TVs all around which was great for watching sports from any seat. There seem to be good drink deals daily. I ordered mozzarella sticks and fries and both were really good- the mozz sticks had a great cheese pull and both portions were generous! I have been to several Flanigan's locations in the past and not sure why I haven't written a review. I never leave disappointed. This location is on Deerfield Beach. There are several restaurants nearby and all are usually very busy on a Friday night so we were happy to be seated right away in a booth. The ambiance is always fun and casual. Our server arrived quickly and we were ready to order their famous Baby Back Ribs and a Caesar Salad with grilled tuna. Our meals arrived and we were both very happy with our choices. Parking in the garage down the street was easy. Flanigan's prices are also very good. We will be back again for the ribs and to try other items. read more

I was so pleasantly surprised how much I liked this place. My son played down the place saying it isn't at all foodie oriented and it's very famlly oriented casual. Which is all true = but I loved the down to earth vibe here - very friendly staff - LOTS of choices to choose from from apps, mains, salads etc I ended up eating here 3 times in a week since it was a three minute walk from where I was staying. Prices are so very reasonable and the portions are dang generous. I had the grilled salmon sandwich each time with different sides. Dirty rice could feed 3 people easily lol Downside was the nachos my friend ordered which looks amazingly gigantic was sad. Cold chips with almost no cheese on it whatsoever. She ordered no beans/chili on it - but still very very sad pile of almost naked chips. Service that night was odd - drinks didn't come together - long lag on her wine coming while my frozen margarita melted away Son got the chicken sandwich on visit - was really good - but his fries were all cold. I pictured the chipotle chicken sandwich that I got but some others got the ribs and said they were great also.
