Went in for a catalytic converter issue to have them replaced when I got the truck back there was an air noise coming from underneath the passenger side, where the catalytic converters are. Went back to automotive two different times and they could not fix the problem.. This is on top of the fact after the first time I was there one of the mechanics backed my truck out of the garage and into a dumpster denting the back bumper. The owner after three times they could not fix the work that they did. that was $2800.

We had some bad weather and he stated that they needed until Wednesday to complete the job. I paid him $40 for diagnostics and then $150 for the tow. Then sent $550 for parts. I also got a rental for 5 days through budget rent a car which cost me 500$ Wednesday came and it wasn't done. He said it would be done Thursday. I got the rental another day. Another $68 and $15 extension fee. Friday came and he said it's still not done. So after a week I have paid over 1k and it's not done. He promised it would be done the following Tuesday by 8pm. I returned rental that morning. At 9pm when he didn't show up he texted that he was done but there was still an oil leak. WHAT!!!!! He said he had parts and needed until Monday. Monday morning I asked him if it was going to be completed as promised and he said no. He needed til Wednesday. So 13 days he has had my car and it's in the same condition. I just had enough and sent a tow truck to their shop to get my car. When tow truck arrived it was at someone's house. They told me it was a mechanic shop. It's a random house on a sketchy neighborhood and my car sitting in front untouched with snow covering it still. He misled me as he had a shop. He just paid google bc he was the first to pop up. I trusted him and he lied several times. I am now at a mechanic shop hats legit and have had to get ANOTHER rental car for the week. This guy has lied and set me back almost 1500 and my car is in the same condition as it was 13 days ago. Do not trust him

A local tire shop referred me to Schmidt Auto. My transmission failed and a friend was working on…read moremy vehicle, unsuccessfully. Erich took the time to listen to my nasty noises and troubleshoot with me at no profit to him. A few weeks later, my friend still couldn't get the tranny fixed and I decided it was time to take my car out of my friend's garage and in to Schmidt. Erich explained my problems and showed me the cause of the malfunction. Furthermore, he spent time with me and explained what I can do at home should the problem reoccur. This week, the culprit reared its head again. I tempted my hand at tending to the tranny, but was having trouble. I went to Erich and he gave me the tool I needed to finish the job! If you can find a mechanic that will show you what you need to do to maintain your tranny at home and then give you the tools to do it yourself, then I think you've found a winner. The garage appears well maintained. Schmidt is personable and professional. He made me feel respected (unlike those condescending mechanics).
