Flamingo Girl was the first work Ignacio Gama made after arriving in Miami. She is part of the the black and gold collection. Ignacio Gana is a Pisces and water features prominently in his art work. As soon as I spotted Flamingo Girl I had to stop and get a closer look. I love the expression of joy on her face evoking the memory of the happiness and fun experienced by jumping into a pool. Gana has stated that this piece is a tribute to women and water. "It represents the joy of Miami, the contrast of colors and nature, trying to find the perfect balance between form, color, and movement." Gana is currently at work on other sculptures to be displayed in Miami and around the world. read more
