When visiting Miami this area is definitely worth adding to your list. It's literally a graffiti filled street art open air gallery filled with colorful, creative works on every corner and alleyway. They're plenty of eateries and shops to step inside and cool off and recharge along the way. You can easily spend half and day just taking it all in. They also offer guided tours but we chose to experience it at our pace. If staying downtown or just passing through this would defined be a must do to get a glimpse of the Miami culture, food and vibe. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. read more

During my previous two visits to Miami, I'm not sure why I never made it here. While researching new places for this trip, the moment I saw a picture of Wynwood Walls, I knew I had to experience it in person. It is a world-renowned outdoor museum featuring, massive, constantly rotating, and vibrant street art from global artists. Founded in 2009, this walkable, family-friendly destination is surrounded by over 70 art galleries, boutiques, and cafes in the Wynwood Arts District. Wynwood is the street art district of Miami and possibly the most colourful neighbourhood in the world. Every single wall is a new experience. The talent, the detail and the bright, bold colors - amazing! Wynwood is a neighborhood just north of Downtown Miami and in between the two freeway bridges to South Beach. It was an industrial area for years, but developers revamped the place and now the warehouse buildings draw tourists in from all over the world to see the beautiful art. It was previously known as Little San Juan (El Barrio) because many people from Puerto Rico lived there, but since the area has been gentrified, it is less so. I love the Wynwood Walls. Back when I was in college you could come here for free and it was always filled with people during Friday Art Walk. On trips back to Miami, I've been hesitant to spend the $12 for something I had seen a million times for free, but I was so happy to return. It was so worth the money too. First, I loved seeing an old favorite exhibit that is about to go on the road and no longer live there. Second, we saw a bunch of talented artists' work. One of the most notable was the broken glass portraits. I had never seen something like that. While it's slightly different than when I used to frequent it in 2016, it's still the same inspiring and trendy place it once was. I love that there are about three indoor exhibits to explore and a bunch of outdoor walls. You can even pay extra for a spray paint experience if that interests you. It's a nostalgic spot for me, so I'd recommend checking it out on a Miami trip. read more

Support the arts! It is a great experience if you are in the Wynnwood area - beware there is never a moment it is not crowded lol. Wynwood = art vibes and great food ! This is one of my favorite spots while down in Miami. It's chill , has great small locally owned venues that support the arts and although touristy and alittle pricey, I feel as though it's worth it. There is no parking lot with direct access to wynwood walls so you can just find a spot to pay parking by the hour. There is now a charge to get into to view the murals per person but once inside you'll be amazed at these murals and sculptures. The artist are truly talented and supporting their vision is dope. Around the walls there are other venues to chill and grab some vintage albums, clothing , food and some really good ice cream or alcoholic beverages. Largest outdoor "museum" of street art in the world. It's full of energy everywhere you look. Bright bold colors and unique designs in each space. Interestingly, they have outdoor and indoor exhibitions. The indoor art has a good variety. My favorite is the broken glass art. I can't fathom how difficult it would be to break glass and get it to form the designs here. Admission price isn't too bad and they only charge $5 for youth (under 17). Recommended. I must admit I'm very surprised this doesn't have a higher rating. For $12 I was able to spend as much time as I wanted in this incredible space. The art is impressive and the space is beautifully designed. I love how you're outdoors and indoors and although it's crowded you still have plenty of space to enjoy the art and take pics. They also have lots of places to sit and many places are shaded. You're going to pay to park in this area, about $1.25 for 30 minutes if you park on the street. I recommend avoiding 2nd and parking in a side street. If you're not staying far I recommend rideshare so you can explore the area and grab a bite to eat after the museum. I've lived in Miami for a decade now and had never been to see the Wynwood Walls and I honestly have no idea why! It's such a cool place with a constantly revolving set of artists, and admission is very reasonable to get in the museum. I went on a weekday and crowds were minimal and it gave you plenty of space to explore and relax and see the various art exhibits. The artists are all so talented and it's really cool to see their different styles. When you are there you can also try spray painting one of the walls towards the back of the museum, you can try it for free for 3 minutes or have a 30 minute guided session for $25. I opted to do the paint a spray can session when I was there for around $20, and you got an hour to paint your spray can and had a guide give you their tips and tricks at the beginning of the session, and you got to take home the spray can at the end as a souvenir! Everyone that worked at the Walls was so friendly and offered to answer any questions I had about any of the exhibits. If you're in Miami, definitely checkout the Wynwood Walls! read more

If you love murals, Wynwood Walls is an outdoor/indoor gallery/museum featuring many artists. You start in the lobby where you purchase tickets. Kids under 12 are free. Once you get tickets, you walk outside into several outdoor courtyards full of murals and a few indoor art galleries. In the way back is a place where you can pay to spray paint or you can spray paint for three minutes for free. (You do have to sign a simple waiver.) To exit, you have to go through a gift shop full of books, art, and more. It was a great experience, but it is very curated. It just can't beat finding murals in the wild. read more

For many of us Miami locals, it was a pretty painful transition going from the Wynwood Walls being free to paid entrance. I appreciate that there is a slight discount for residents, although of course it's more than free. Also, can appreciate that overcrowding is an issue the tickets help with. That being said, this is a very unique and special place that can't be missed. I recommend being very mindful of the weather and/or bring hats or a fan. There is very limited shade. read more

We finally made it to Wynwood Walls this time around visiting our family & so glad we did because there was so much talent every corner that you turned! First off be warned, do not drive around wasting your time looking for parking like we did, go straight to the covered parking garage that's only one block over! Also save time purchasing tickets online & show your code at door that they scan for entrance, saves a lot of time! There's several parts to this exhibit, you first start off walking through looking at the spray painted graffiti that's on the buildings & there's an old subway car that's the centerpiece with etchings in the windows to check out! As you're finishing up walking through looking at the graffiti art on the buildings you're now entering into the second segment of the exhibit. There's so much artwork that's for sale going all the way up to $500,000.. the talent & creativity is a lot more than you'd originally be expecting coming to a graffiti exhibit so to speak! Once you step out into the courtyard is where you'll see all the larger sculptures & a couple of murals that are etched into the stucco walls of the buildings! That's also where you're coming towards the end of the exhibit near the gift shop which has a very good variety for everyone at a low to high price point depending on your taste! Overall at $12 admission I was pleasantly surprised how much I really enjoyed the exhibit, I'll admit it we were mainly going because I knew that my husband would love the artwork but there's a little bit of something for everyone to enjoy! It takes about 2 hours to walk through & a large portion is outdoors so plan accordingly depending on weather! The courtyard does have benches throughout which is very nice, especially if anyone in your family needs a break. Worth the ticket price (it's only like $12). I'd always heard of Wynwood Walls and expected it to just be a bunch of street art in the Wynwood neighborhood, akin to the Bushwick Collective or something in Brooklyn. However, it's much more than that. Not only does it have beautiful street art pieces by an international collection of artists, but it also has curated sculptures, indoor galleries with art pieces and installations, and a stand offering ice cream and frozen lemonade - the frozen strawberry lemonade was about the best thing I could have hoped for on a hot, hot Miami day. It's a bigger space than I expected, and the gift shop has a whole bunch of fun tchotchkes, books, clothing, and art pieces. Definitely a worth it visit. Try to aim for a cloudy day if you can for better photo lighting! read more

The Wynwood area is a cool area and definitely worth a visit, but I'm honestly not sure the admission fee is worth it for Wynwood Walls. It's a hotbed for instagrammers and tiktokers. They have beautiful street art from artists that are representing a variety of different styles and from a variety of different backgrounds in countries. This area used to be free to the public to view walls of graffiti, but no longer. Now its about $10.00 per person butva few discounts offered to Miami locals, seniors and first responders. As we first walked into the courtyard we see a giant Hulk Baby. Numerous walls with colorful graffiti including a huge City of Chicago subway car. Two inside graffiti display rooms with various artistic items for sale. They also had an area with live spray painting although a waiver needed signatures since a chance of breathing in paint fumes and a possibility of damage to clothing. Was in town for the weekend and came here as a fun event and we all loved it (even the boys!). All the art is so beautifully done and every art is so different than the next. They did a great job of integrating different mediums such as several were AI enhanced and showed moving images when viewed through an app on your phone. There was also an artist that made portraits from cracked glass/mirrors - I've never seen anything like it and it was soo beautiful. Yes there are good photo/insta moments or photo shoots happening here but my family is not into that at all and we very much enjoyed the space just for the art itself which is much appreciated. Went to the walls after a long time to share with my cousin from out of town. Wow it's changed a lot from the early days. More corporate. No longer free, instead they have a building where you can self pay for tickets and add ons. The art was as I recalled, and it felt like a decent value even if no longer free. There were both indoor and outdoor spaces, but definitely recommend with good weather as there's not a lot of cover in between. It wasn't too busy. Quite a big gift store with memorabilia. It seems this is more geared towards tourists vs locals now. However, on the last point, it was nice that they offered a discount to miami residents. read more

Wynnwood Walls is a must-see when you are visiting Miami! I have seen it many times, and I am in awe every time. It never gets old because new artists pop up all the time. Their work is simply amazing!! I love the display currently at WW, especially the baby Hulk!! The walls inside are also incredible. Be sure to go inside the museum to see so much more artwork. You can purchase WW souvenirs inside there. After you have seen Wynwood Walls, then you should walk or drive around the many blocks of graffiti on business walls or abandoned buildings. Just when you think you have seen it all, the next block will have more! Bring a small portable charger for your phone because you will be snapping so many photos that your phone will need a charge. There are many restaurants and bars in the area as well as the Design District. Wynwood Walls and the entire area of artwork will stay in your mind for a long time after. It's amazing! read more
