Absolutely recommend . Its such a great midday or late night snack spot. Wow! I'm so impressed and the prices are phenomenal. Snowcones and smoothies for $1.75 and $3 wow, just wow. Atmosphere is family friendly or date worthy for a 1st time meet up. I willl be back! :*)

Price is great. Flavor is okay. Just be prepared to wait 30 minutes-1 hour. I only had four cars ahead of me in the drive through and still waited 30 minutes

Everything was amazing! The nachos are so cheesy, the mangonada is exactly what I expected filled with mango chunks, the elote prep was so good & the raspas are delicious, especially if you add the extra toppings.

Two big things this place has going for them is their affordability and menu variety!! You can get so many different things for such a great price. I love coming here for the raspas-- the small size is super loaded, makes it seem like a large. I've tried a few different things and have loved all. They also don't hold back on anything which is great. Only giving it 4 stars though because of the super long wait time.. They are almost always packed, both drive thru and waiting in line. Be ready to wait a while if coming here, especially on weekends or night time. I've had to wait anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. There are a few tables and seating areas, as well as a kids area to entertain the kids.

Came across this spot on Yelp, while in search of a funnel cake one Saturday. So I made my way over. Wasn't expecting there to be a long line, but it was a pretty, hot day and I guess everyone had the same idea...snowballs and funnel cakes. The snowball ice wasn't as soft as I prefer and wasn't as juicy, but it got the job done. For the price that I paid for the funnel cake and snowball..I won't complain. Prices are very reasonable and they have a lot to choose from on the menu. They have a pretty large seating area, some covered, some not. A good spot to enjoy family and friends.

I found out about this spot from a post on Instagram. I think it was the Houston Secrets page. What got my attention was the $1 snow cones, I haven't seen those prices in years. They did warn that there will be a long line and waiting time over the weekends or weeknights. I went on a Wednesday evening around 7:40 after a walk at the park. There was a line in the parking lot for the drive-thru as well as a standing line at the window. I can't remember exactly but I think I waited about 45 minutes. However, I wasn't in a rush and I wanted to try them out. I ordered a small banana snowcone, Elote with all the toppings, their twisted pickles, and a hotdog with the cheese on it. The snow cone was a pretty big size for a small and I got it with the condensed milk cream on top. It was definitely good and the price was perfect, so no complaints there. The Elote was definitely the best I've ever had in a long time. I will definitely go back for that. It was a nice size for about $2.75. Whereas other places will probably charge you $6. They had all the perfect seasonings. The they charged me for the chili cheese dog but I didn't want the chili. Had I known I was still going to get charge for the same price I would've kept the chili, but it was still a good price for a hotdog. As for the twisted pickles from the picture, it look like it supposed to be a Kool-Aid pickle & I've had Kool-Aid pickles in my childhood, but this was different. First they put the pickles in a hotdog Styrofoam container with juice in it so as it was sitting in my bag, on the way home is spilled all throughout the bag and all throughout my car seat, which I was not happy about. Secondly, when I got ready to taste the twisted pickles or Kool-Aid pickles, in my experience I'm used to sweets Kool-Aid. Therefore, the pickles should've been a sweet taste or at most a sweet & sour taste. Unfortunately, this was just a red colored dill pickle. The pickle was extremely sour and the koolaid had no sugar so it was just full color which stained my hands as well. It was so sour my nose started to sweat. And I was so disappointed because I love Kool-Aid pickles. I could make them on my own. They give you four spears, but they are missing the sugar. Unless that's how they intended it to be it could be different for each cultures experience, but in my culture we do Kool-Aid pickles. The Kool-Aid is sweet just like when you drink Kool-Aid it is sweet. Overall other than that it was great pricing, like when you went the neighborhood candy lady, but with so many treats, like what you'd get at the rodeo. I would recommend people to to give it a shot.

I've been coming here for years and it's because they have great raspas and nachos. The service could use some help because it takes a long time to get your order, if you don't mind waiting it shouldn't be an issue. It's a great place for hot days.

The fried chicken was well balanced, good brine and a crispy delicate batter. The bread with butter and jam was also quite decent. Seems to be a martini place but I had a Manhattan and really enjoyed it, it was a strong drink but very tasty. The kampachi crudo was very light but also flavorful with fun textures from the toppings. The mussels on bread were savory and buttery, really liked the addition of the large beans. The pappardelle with the wide noodles was so fun and there was lots of parm which I liked, and the lemon zest was a nice touch. The squash was soft and I loved the ricotta. The campanelle was really unique with the crawfish and the spicy sauce, the noodle shape was so fun. The cheeseburger is tiny but mighty, super juicy and cheesy. The fries were perfectly crispy. Mango sorbet was packed full of mango flavor! Really enjoyed this spot, can't believe it took me so long to get here. Probably best to get a reservation. Small parking lot available.

Advertising has its place. I'm always dubious of posts that I see from so-called influencers on social media. Especially when I view someone with 20 sets of false eyelashes and enough food for ten delivered to the table and lots of oohs and ahhs. But I'm always willing to check out a new place and make my own decision because it's a fun hobby of mine. And I'm retired and I have plenty of time. Now I've been traveling in Mexico for most of my life because of family and friends that I have there, and I have a real soft spot for the cuisine of Mexico, whether from the seven regions that culinary historians talk about; or the sub regions such as our beloved Tex-Mex, which I love. And so today brings me to this little place up on Airline Drive that I heard about from a so-called influencer on Instagram. Los Mendoza Mexican Restaurant. I'm here in the morning and it's a breakfast all day option kind of place. I get a fruit smoothie (Ilusión) and a tecolota, their riff on a chilaquiles sandwich. The smoothie is excellent and I would come back just for it. They offer an option with or without sugar. A no charge, courtesy consommé with potatoes and fideo arrives. Delicious. As was the excellent sandwich. See photos. Beef birria ramen; tacos ahogados; caldo de albondigas; patitas de puerco en salsa roja; beef short ribs... how is it that I am just discovering this place? I love, cruising down Airline, Irvington, and Fulton, as there are so many places to choose from a Mexican culinary heritage. I want to spend a year, just trying all of the different places.

They have a 2 for $20 meal that includes a starter of choice and an entree. First off, the portion sizes are huge. I ended up taking half my food to go- and it tasted juat as good this evening for dinner! It came out quickly and the customer service was spectacular. They even flagged us down when we were about to leave because I left my jacket at the table. During our dining, we were checked on regulary by our server D'Anna. She was patient with us deciding on our choices for our orders and willing to give us guidance on entrees. We never had an almost empty water glass, and magically, even sitting outside on the covered patio, we did not have to fight with flies to keep them away from our food, but I wouldn't blame the flies one bit if they tried because Millie's has some amazing dishes. First off the fish dip is electrifying. Reminds me of seafood salad, but not as chunky. Delicious!!! A must try. I ordered the wedge salad for my 2 for $20 meal. It didn't come out with my other counterparts' apps because they were making the blue cheese dressing from scratch- SCRATCH! And boy was it amazing when it did come out! Fresh and refreshing. Once more, my philly was loaded with toppings! A little spicy than expected but not to the point that my tongue was burning. The beef tallow fries were also a pleasant compliment to my philly. Not salty at all and thick cut just how I like them so I can taste the potato. It was not only a great meal but exceptional setting to have a dining experience. I can see why this place is popular!
