I want to add that the owner personally reached out to me after reading this review, and I was honestly blown away by her kindness and sincerity. She apologized directly, asked to hear more about what happened, and made it clear that this is not how she runs her business. When I first visited Flaming Saddles back in 2021, I had an amazing time (so much so that I specifically wanted to bring my friends to experience it too). That's why this experience shocked me so much. But the fact that the owner took the time to write me such a thoughtful message shows how much she cares about her customers and about maintaining a welcoming, fun environment. I truly appreciate how seriously she took this and will say confidently that this reflects very well on her and on the heart behind the business. It's clear that the behavior we experienced is not representative of what Flaming Saddles is about.

The pandemic closed the WeHo location of this raucous country-western gay bar, so Jamie W and I never made it there. We're not the cowboy hat-and-chaps type anyway. However, we decided to submerge our inhibitions and come to the Hell's Kitchen location during a particularly frosty day in Manhattan. We loved it right away because the bartenders were friendly in their revealing tank-tops and tight blue jeans. The bar counter itself was huge and long. We eventually recognized there was a good reason for the size and length. It allowed the bartenders to get up and perform some provocative line dancing (photo: https://yelp.to/ds4ww7U9b2). We didn't know if there was a set time for the frivolity, but we enjoyed the show. Good thing I had five-dollar bills on me. So did the already inebriated bachelorette party who kept slapping the bartenders' firm backsides. Of course I had to test them myself. Their firmness was not accidental. It turned out they were all Broadway dancers earning money between casting calls. Happy Hour drinks were generously poured and quite reasonably priced at $7 for a 2-for-1 deal. We got familiar with their Tequila Sunrises in quick order (photo: https://yelp.to/OBhF3OMOT2). Neither of us did anything inappropriate during our long stay here, but maybe the well drinks were just not potent enough. Or maybe Jamie and I are decent people who haven't been nominated for cabinet posts. Yeah, that's it. DRINKS - 4.5 stars...sometimes quantity is the only thing that matters AMBIANCE - 5 stars...I was kinda expecting Debra Winger on a mechanical bull SERVICE - 5 stars...the boys were nice and just flirty enough TOTAL - 5 stars...get your Urban Cowboy fix in Hell's Kitchen RELATED - Thirsty in NYC? The Coyote Ugly of Hells Kitchen. Loveee it. The vibes are so fun and I wish I could learn the dances with them! Taylor and Lloyd are excellent at their jobs. I always feel so welcome and happy when I'm here. I couldn't resist a jello shot, bringing me back to my college days. Tasted delicious and went down smoothly! What a fun place to make new friends and simply celebrate life. I love the music and watching the TVs while posting up at the bar. If you do the same, make sure you leave room for the dancers to move their feet! Bathrooms are unisex, so don't be shy! And thank you to Security at the door for making us feel safe. Can't wait to come back.

This is a nice small bar, very packed on weekend nights. No cover. Open floor for people to hang out and dance. Few tall booth tables are available for drink and dine. The music is good here, but I didn't see any DJ, mostly it's a playlist. The bartenders are multi talented here. Alongside serving drinks, they also do amazing dance performances and also do clean up runs to collect empty bottles cups, and glasses.

Cool country music bar (LGBTQ). Everyone is super friendly. Standard bar service (beer/cocktails). My friend bought a T shirt from them as souvenir.

Flaming Saddles is great! The same owners of Coyote Ugly with the same concept. Good all around fun. The bartenders are top notch dancers and put on a great show. Fun and friendly crowd. Recommended for a fun night out in NY.

March 2023...cute bar. Fun entertainment on the bar by employees, but wish they did it more often like the one that used to be in WeHo.

This is a fun and cute bar. Fun entertainment on the bar by employees, but wish they did it more often like the one that used to be in WeHo. I'd recommend this as a stop when in Hell's Kitchen.

What an amazing experience! A gay country bar?! I can't say enough amazing things about this place. This is literally coyote ugly meets YMCA! And I couldn't be more happy with how the night was! The entertainment was top notch and the drinks were strong!

Four shots were kind of a lot tonight. $48 for some green tea shots. But honestly good music and epic vibes with friends!!

If you're on the fence about going to Eagle, well just hop off already and get your bum over there…read more I finally did and realized I had been missing out all this time. This fantastically grungy place is fueled by a mix of thumping beats, leather harnesses, and shirtless men. Even at its busiest, the vibe stays open, fun, and surprisingly well organized. The Wednesday before thanksgiving is apparently known for being the busiest night at the Eagle, and this year's record crowd should have sunk the whole operation, but the staff kept the entire production going smoothly like it was rehearsed. The Eagle's security team deserves direct credit. They managed an impossibly massive crowd without a hitch. Even with thousands trying to get in, the kilometric entrance line and the coat check line that stretched to the roof moved smoothly and never descended into chaos. Dan in particular handled a near-impossible task: recovering my smartwatch from a crowd so packed I had assumed it was gone for good. He somehow retrieved it, safeguarded it, and returned it to me with the utmost professionalism. Music is solid. The vibe is leather and musk. The inclusivity is not just tag line but a daily practice. This bar deserves every positive review on this app. Ignore the haters. Peace!

There's no nice way to say it - one of my dearest friends was full-out assaulted by the doorman…read morethis past Saturday night. I was with my friend and my boyfriend. They each had bags for inspection. I did not. I showed my ID to the man and was permitted inside. I stood watching through the door and wondered what was taking so long. Finally I saw my boyfriend calmly gesturing for me to come back out. The man had very gruffly told my boyfriend "no, you go over to the side" - whatever that means - re: his bag. Nasty. It's not against the law for people to have bags and backpacks. You'd think it was the inconvenience of a lifetime to inspect them. My boyfriend comes right from work. My friend had come in from Connecticut. They needed their bags. They didn't mind them being checked at all. They tolerated the large helping of attitude. When I walked back through the door, I saw my friend and the doorman pushing and shoving each other. It was a full-on assault. Other people were watching and horrified. Apparently, my friend had two water bottles in his bag and wasn't permitted to take them in. He simply asked if he could leave them at the front. The doorman said, "I'm not gonna babysit your water!" Wrong. The thing to say is, "You're free to leave them, but I can't be held responsible for them." The both of them had had enough of the attitude and decided we would all just go somewhere else, and said so and turned to leave. Right as my boyfriend gestured for me to come out, the doorman grabbed my friend with both hands and shoved him. My friend is a gentle person and battles a great deal of anxiety. He did not provoke this attack. My boyfriend saw the whole thing with his own eyes. It made absolutely no sense. My friend was completely rattled for hours. We spent the evening trying to help him come down from the adrenaline and shock to his system. Was this a homophobic attack? If so, Flex should be aware of who they have in their employ. Yet it really doesn't matter what the motivation was. It was brutal and it was wrong, plain and simple. My friend's water didn't disturb a single patron that night. The doorman's attack on him did. It was outrageous. What's more? My friend is the most generous tipper anyone could meet. He treats bartenders like they do God's work. Now none of us would ever go back. Why would we? We moved on to Flaming Saddles where the doorman and bartenders were lovely to us in spite of a swelling Saturday night crowd. They were sensitive to my friend and helped replace some of our night's ugliness with kindness. Beware of Flex. Go at your own risk.
