I heard Marina say once something that was roughly this; farming is good for the family and family farming is good for the world. I'm paraphrasing, but I wanted to say "Amen" to that and also to thank her because it certainly is good for the local community. ACCESSIBLE FARM STORE FOR PRE-PICKED FRUIT: It was buying their dried sour cherries from other vendors in the area, both Peaceful Belly's farm store and McIntyre Farm store that introduced me to Cherry Hill. Visiting the farm for the first time in maybe 2019, they had only portable tables set up in a deep gravel over dirt lot and given I have mobility disabilities (I have had multiple sclerosis since college) that make it beyond difficult to walk through that, I was disappointed to not be able to get from parking to the product on tables. Fast forward a few years and they now have built a small farm store on site and although they still have that gravel over dirt lot, they did observe ADA minimums to pour a cement apron on one side of the store with a single parking spot there which makes it possible for all people to get into the farm store on solid surface and shop for sour dried cherries , sour fresh cherries, cherry juice, apples, pears, apricots, nectarines and peaches in their various seasons. U-PICK OPTIONS: U-Pick is offered through all the various seasons. Check Cherry Hill's Facebook page or Web page or call them to be sure they are open when you want to do and what is growing to be picked. DID YOU SAY DONUTS?: the surprise for us as we stocked up on dried cherries, apples, pears and O'Henry peaches a couple of weeks ago was to learn they have fresh made cinnamon sugar donuts at some times. We managed to buy the last half dozen, how they are sold, and came home to share them with the men who mow our lawn and we all thought they were great. SPECIAL EVENTS FALL AND SPRING: There is a corn maize and pumpkin patch in the fall from late September through October 31, so it is going on as I write this review, with special activities for children. In the Spring they hold a cherry festival. With cherry trees and the other fruit trees in blossom at different times, it really is a beautiful place to visit then. NEIGHBORS TO VISIT ON A DAY TRIP: *If you're in Caldwell to visit Cherry Hill, I recommend a visit to Peaceful Belly Farm which is also home to a Cidery. They serve lunch and dinner in their on site cafe on some Thursdays through Sundays during the Spring into Winter. Check their website for more information. It is very special to eat there, you can walk through the farm, and they have an onsite farm store selling their produce and that of neighbors, like Cherry Hill. Owners Jodie and Clay Erskine are so creative in offering community engagement opportunities. https://www.yelp.com/biz/peaceful-belly-farm-caldwell?osq=peaceful+belly *You may also want to pay a visit to McIntyre Pastures which pasture raises all their cattle, pigs and chickens and they have a farm store to sell their proteins - including eggs that are the best I have ever used - and other local farm products, like Cherry Hill dried cherries. https://www.yelp.com/biz/mcintyre-pastures-farm-caldwell?osq=MCINTYRE+FARM

Within the last week, I lost a very important member of my family. My fur Baby Lulu. I had her for…read more17 years and 2 months until I had to say goodbye. I am so sad, and know that I will be for quite a long time , so to ease the pain a bit and help me to stay busy and keep my mind off of losing her, my very beautiful friend decided we should go to Peaceful Belly Farm and relax, have some delicious food, be in nature and around positive people with a beautiful ambience. Of course Peaceful Belly delivered as always. We decided to have a gorgeous glass of Viogner, and thought it would be nice to split a few of the dishes to share. We started with the spinach dip bread bowl, with farm, fresh spinach mixed with a three cheese blend served in a Acme sourdough loaf. The dip was so yummy, creamy and heartwarming, and there were so many layers of flavor. It was just the right amount of salty and the texture was wonderful. It was served in an Acme sourdough loaf which is always delicious. They cut up the top portion of the bowl into small pieces so that we could easily dunk the bread into the dip. It was the perfect way to start the meal. I don't think there was much left of that when all was said and done. The second dish that we decided on together was the deviled eggs. They were beautiful, fresh, farm eggs that were nice and cold and the yolks were whipped beautifully with dill and garlic filling. Garnished on top of the eggs they served this insane, brown sugar, caramelized McIntyre bacon. There were some gorgeous, delicate, yellow, edible flower petals on top which took it over the top aesthetically. They were perfect. It was a serving of four and it was just enough for my friend and I. Last but not least, we had a dish made from homemade chorizo from the James Beard nominated Chef, Dan Ansot of Ansot's Basque restaurant in downtown Boise. It was phenomenal. Made with warm saffron stew that had carrots and sweet pepper, onion and garlic on a creamy polenta base topped with his Basque chorizo and grilling cheese (which is one of my favorite cheeses ever!) It was spicy and so complex. We really enjoyed this dish tremendously. Our server Kayla was wonderful. She checked up on us often, but not too often to make sure that we were enjoying everything and asked if we wanted more wine. The dishes came out in a timely manner and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The atmosphere is gorgeous set in an open space full of greenery and flowers and food growing all about the property, not to mention all of the gorgeous black and white sheep that are grazing peacefully around the restaurant outside. It was a perfect day with a perfect friend with perfect weather and really helped me to set aside the sadness I felt from losing my sweet little fur baby, even if just for a little while. The inside is impeccably clean and a bright open space with plenty of tables. They have a ton of gorgeous dry flowers from all over the property hanging gracefully from the ceiling and they always have fun artwork hanging on the walls. I will always return. They do a good thing for the community and they have a gorgeous space with beautiful food and people. Thank you for helping me through my grief. See you soon!

But it closed in 15 minutes! So we hurried over there and it was dark and cold outside which added to the Christmas spirit. Walking up to it I already was giddy. It had a window display that just looked magical from the outside. Walking in, it was small yet cozy. So many different items to look at. I tried to be mindful of the closing time so we looked at everything pretty quickly but I just soaked it all in. I've always wanted a nice snow globe bc they remind me of my son. I found one there I liked with the nativity story in it along with a wind up song. I bought it and they wrapped it up for me since I flew out the next day. Unfortunately the TsA agents didn't let me board the plane with it!!!!!!! So my son went back 2 days later and bought another one!!;) and now we just have to figure out how to get it to me. Probably will have to ship it to me and hopefully it gets to me safely. But boy what a journey just for this snow globe! lol But this store gets the sale of two snow globes so I'm helping small business I guess;) Loved this place and if I'm in the area again during Christmas, I'd love to come again and see what they new things they have. Based on our input he drew up a "low maintenance" plan that we approved. The following Spring, the entire front yard was re-landscaped. New trees and shrubbery were added. Upgrades were made to the irrigation system. They also subcontracted with a concrete curbing firm that provided edge enhancements for the planted areas. Thad helped us pick out slate to accent different areas of the yard. In the backyard, they upgraded the irrigation system, planted shrubbery and had curbing installed. The landscaping received rave reviews by the neighbors. Misty, from Sterling, has led a team out every Spring to clean up, prune and prepare the yard for Spring and Summer. They have done a fantastic job. I wholeheartedly recommend Sterling landscape service. 10/10

Honest mistakes happen, if a bill wasn't paid, that is YOUR responsibility to follow up with it with written documentation, not phone calls demanding payment without context.
