I seriously think about this Thai basil fried rice, so often! Hands-down, one of the best Thai food restaurants that we have in Minneapolis. Their food selection is top-notch and their quality is even better. We had sushi, and some traditional Thai dishes. I would say the curry and the Thai basil fried rice was by far my favorite. Just a heads up, we went on a Friday around dinner time and it was super busy. So plan ahead as their space is small for sit down. I have gotten their food to go before and it is a great option as well. Their service was super quick for how busy they were and I was very impressed.

Go to Flamin Thai ASAP :) My friend and I went for dinner and WOW it was soooo good. Every dish was stunning and delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and patient during a very busy night. Be prepared to leave with a full belly of flavorful food. I will definitely be back for the curry and drunken noodles!

Looks good. But not worth $20. Taste was really bad. Like fried rice with lemon.

Everything was good except nam khao tod. It was trash. No crunch. Huge ass green onions. No red chilies. Too sour. No curry taste. No mint. Sushi, eggrolls, and edamame were

Thai food is my favorite and some friends told me to try this spot. Went here for date night, didnt make reservations cause it was last minute but we still got in. First I want to say this whole area is terrible for parking and there is a lot to park in right next door but it's about $10 for an hour. We walked in and weren't really greeted for maybe 5 minutes. I'm not sure if they were understaffed but it wasnt crazy busy. Sat down and the bartender was the waitress. She was super friendly and excited to have us. Really explained a lot of the menu and had suggestions. We ordered some food and drinks. My drink was pretty good. I enjoyed the wings, good sauce and crispy. Kapoon was really good, my date had never had it before and she liked it. I didnt really like the rice cause it lacked flavor for me. The sushi was pretty good also. At times it just felt like the service was slow. Also when getting everything to go, I guess I would have assumed they would box it up for me with their prices and also the fact that I'm trying to box up a soup. Not a terrible experience, just not one of my favorites. Other things on the menu sparked my interest but not sure if its enough for me to go back.

Met my family here for dinner. The restaurant is decorated very cute. The servers were very helpful getting our order in and even provided suggestions based on what we told them we liked. The food we ordered all had great flavor. The prices were a little on the spendy side but I imagine their rent for this area is not cheap. We would definitely come back.

As my first photos shows, this is a pleasant, modern space. That, along with the extensive menu and friendly service, promised much, but my meal was ultimately quite disappointing. I got the mixed veg stir-fry (Rainbow Medley) with shrimp. It was nicely plated, but two issues I had with it are evident from my photo: first, it was rather oily. And second, the veg mix was off, with way too many green peppers and onions (it's natural to suspect a cost motive here). What's less clear from the photo was that the vegetables were all overcooked, with the broccoli and mushrooms having been reduced to mush. Others seem to have had better experiences here, so I would be curious to try something different.

We went at 6 pm on a Wednesday. We were sat right away and there were plenty of open tables. Food 4/5. The spring rolls were fresh and were well balanced by the sauce included. I got the red curry which had amazing flavor. I got medium spice and felt this balanced the dish perfectly. My only complaint was the bamboo. It was cut in long pieces almost like noodles, and was very challenging to eat with the included spoon. Service 4/5: we were sat right away and our order was put in quickly. Our spring rolls and main entrees also came in a timely fashion. We did wait awhile for someone to check back in on us to get our checks and to go boxes. Ambiance 5/5: they have a cute selfie wall in the back. Overall the restaurant was clean and tidy. We had sufficient space at our tables and loved the view from the window. If you're in the neighborhood and are looking for Thai food, this is definitely a must try!!

We visited Saturday evening, we utilized paid street parking and we were seated right away. The restaurant wasn't busy. Khloe was a good server, checking in with us and giving us updates on our food while we waited. We started off with the baked mussels, they were so delicious I really enjoyed the sauces on top. The lychee connection was dangerously good, with the right balance of sweetness and alcohol. I really did not like the wait In between getting our drinks, our appetizer or our entree which was about 10-20 mins. My husband got his food before I got my sushi another ten minutes later. However, although our wait times were significant because the sushi chefs were behind the food was delicious. The sushi and sashimi combo comes with a great variety of fresh fish. Some even had a little wasabi underneath. The pepper steak also had the right amount of spice and sweetness. I would recommend visiting here but heads up you may wait awhile.

Came here for lunch and used a BOgO deal for the sushi rolls Sushi was great, chef was nice who makes them The red snapper curry tasted good but was difficult to eat as whole fish and bones and we were not given actual sized plates to eat them on or discard of the bones until we kept asking for plates The cashew stir fry with pork lacked some flavor in my opinion and not like the typical stir fry I'm used to Also none of our dishes came out with the beautiful hibiscus flowers that I see all over social media and other patrons dishes had them so I'm sure they just forgot ? Would try some other dishes if in the area again and hope it's an improvement since I hear great things about them

Stopped in for an early dinner and was immediately seated. Staff was friendly and inquired about our knowledge of Thai food and Laotian, offering guidance. We immediately ordered spring rolls and their sweet green curry with medium spice as well as the red at Thai delight curry also, medium spice. Both came out with a healthy serving of rice and steaming bowls of curry filled with vegetables. *Tip* You could easily share these dishes if you aren't looking to take anything home as we each had about half of our meals to take home. We loved the creamy flavor, filled broth- No notes, these were so delicious. Also, the environment is super cute with a photo like wall, where you could take pictures. They really produced a vibey restaurant that fits with the diversity of University Ave.

Minnesotans be warned: they mean their spice levels. I can usually handle a little spicier than average, but not here. I ordered a medium red curry with chicken and it was delicious, but my nose was running like crazy. Next time I will try mild/medium. My partner ordered hot drunken noodles, and also said it was spicy (I did not dare to try it). We also got the fried eggrolls which were very yummy The ambiance is nice, and they have tables that can fit large groups. There was a wait when we went in on a Friday, though there was space at the bar. We had an issue with ordering, however. We ordered online for pickup, only to arrive after our scheduled time and find out that our order had not gone through. The staff all seemed very confused, and were not super friendly about it, and then had to rush to put the order through while I stood there waiting. So that was a snafu and not a great experience, but I would try again to see if it's a pattern or a one-off. 4 stars for this reason, but I would go back.

I tried Flamin' Thai for the first time for dinner tonight. The green curry is very delicious, and the pad Thai is pretty darn good too. I ordered to go, so I wasn't able to check out the vibes inside. Service was quick.

They also have some vegan options or items that can be made vegan upon request! We had the cream cheese wontons as an appetizer! The filling was very smooth and creamy and slightly sweet. We also had pad see yew with tofu and pad thai with mock duck. The servings are generous and each entree can easily last for 2 meals. They include a lot of the protein of choice, which I greatly appreciate. Some thai restaurants ask you for your desired level of spice, but we weren't asked here. They were mild (no spice) by default. The pad see ew had a savory, slightly sweet flavor. The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the Chinese broccoli had a nice little crunch. The pad thai had a good balance of sweet, salty, and savory. For dessert we had the mango sticky rice! The mango wasn't particularly ripe, but the coconut milk provided the perfect amount of sweetness. I enjoy Nong's Thai and would recommend it!
