Seats up to maybe 10 total. What we ordered: Me - Chicken Veggie bowl. Fairly good and flavorful. The veggies are nicely steamed and seem pretty fresh...not previously frozen. Roo - Beef bowl with an extra side of beef. But he just got "extra beef"...not an extra side. I guess there is a difference *shrugs*. He also got the sweet green tea and said it's pretty good. This Flame Broiler was the one that started my obsession! I fell in love with this place a couple of year's back when my boyfriend at the time took me here for a casual lunch. I kid you not... I became obsessed and literally ate here at least 3x a week. I always get the Half & Half bowl because I could never decide if I wanted chicken or beef... so I got both! :) Brown rice is given for only $.50 more. The one in Orange is the best. Healthy and quick chicken rice bowl lunch. I've learned that not all flame broilers taste the same. I prefer this location because they don't drench the chicken in sauce. Food is made fresh and you can request brown rice. 12:30 seems to be a bad time to go because the line gets really long. This place is healthy and has fresh veggies and meats in a teriyaki bowl. For you health enthusiasts, I understand how Flame Broiler is a good option. However, I wish I could teach everyone that you can make this exact same bowl at home. I came by for a quick pit stop after the gym because I've never tried Flame Broiler before. It was lunch hour so it was pretty busy. I got the Angus beef and veggie bowl with white rice. The calories for each bowl seem forgiving and I got some sides of their Magic Sauce and this hot sauce. The meat was chopped into bits and made it easy to eat. It tasted like Korean Kalbi meat. The steam vegetables were good and the rice was cooked well. The Magic Sauce was a teriyaki sauce and the hot sauce tasted like a vinegar based hot sauce. It was good. It tasted fresh. But YOU CAN MAKE THIS AT HOME. Go to a Korean Supermarket and buy half a pound of their pre-made Kalbi, chop it up into pieces, and pan fry for 2 minutes. Use your rice cooker for your white or brown rice. Buy some veggies that you can steam in a bag and throw that puppy into the microwave. Buy a bottle of Kikkoman teriyaki sauce and you have Flame Broiler...probably 5 bowls worth for half of the price. read more

I like The Flame Broiler because I can go out to eat for lunch and not break the bank or bust my gut. If you do it right, you can actually get a really filling meal within a good calorie range. Anyway, as with most locations in this area it fills up around lunchtime and since it's such a small restaurant the line seems even longer. If you eat lunch and then notice a few hours later that you feel like someone roofied you, you'll think, "This isn't supposed to have MSG." Here's the kicker: the sign says no ADDED MSG. That doesn't account for whatever is naturally in there. No, they didn't bait and switch you and it's not false advertisement. Your hungry stomach smelled grilled chicken and you didn't catch the ADDED part. It's cool. Just take that food coma in stride. If you like spicy, try the hot sauce. This is my type of a healthy, high protein meal. I ordred the works plate which is basically rice topped with chicken and beef, along with a side of steamed veggies, salad and 3 orange slices. The meat was very flavorful and rich. The veggies were kinda crisp but complimented the rice and meat well. The salad was fresh and I enjoyed the light, sweet dressing. Of course it's mandatory that you add the secret sauce and hot sauce to combine all of the ingredients together. Even though I have a voracious appetite. I ate half and felt very comfortable. I love flame broiler and I usually go to the locations close to my house but I happened to try this one on my lunch break near our new office and was shocked at how little my bowl was filled. EVERY other location fills the bowls to the top and this one filled it maybe halfway. My works bowl had two carrots in it and one piece of broccoli. I brought my coworker back a bowl and the first thing she said was oh my gosh there is barely anything in it. I was absolutely amazed that the owner or maybe the manager was the one filling the bowls. Also, the customer service was horrible, they need to replace the short blonde at the front. Ive been coming to flame broiler for years and every now and then they change the size of bowls to smaller and smaller ones, but after this im not going to another flame broiler again. I ordered a chicken and rice bowl and it insisted i choose a salad or veggies, I wanted neither but it would not let me opt out. One star because the food is great, however the customer service on 12/09/16 was beyond unbelievable. The clerk was clearly not happy to be there but nonetheless I smiled on. But when a family of 5 came in minutes after me the clerk did not wait 1 minute before he starts with "are you ordering to go? Cause we close soon" with the most annoyed tone of voice I have ever heard. The family had two kids so they had them sit down at one of the tables while they decided what to order and this clerk sighed so loud and held his head in his hands (basically making a scene) while this family decided what they wanted to order. Food is always great here at flame broiler. I'm a frequent customer and love the food. But recently we went here and bought some chicken bowls to take home and once we got home my mom went to stir her bowl with the sauces and she noticed a piece of something that shouldn't be there. So she took it out and inspected it and it was a sharp piece of metal. She could have swallowed it and it could have damaged something in her body. So she right away called the store and the kid said he was sorry it happened and his manager wasn't there. So he took my moms phone number and would call his manager and told us what time he would be in the store the next day. My mom told the kid that she works and can't come in at the time the manager would be there. So she waited and waited for the manager to call her back and he never did. Fresh vegetables!! I had the best Half and Half mini bowl at this location last night and I want people to know about it! The place was empty at 7:00 pm and I do not know why. The service was friendly, the wait time was minutes, and the vegetables were fresh! I've been to other Flame Broilers and receive weak, soggy cabbage and carrots. The cashier asks the cook and the cook responds that they already closed down. I could see that the cook was already cleaning the grill! This place is good. It reminds me of Mos 2 but without the fatty chicken skin, (FB's chicken is skinless), and the sketchy outdoor seating.
