I have shopped here for years. It's quite the enchanted boutique. I have noticed at times a bit of a "slow" acknowledgement, but then once the ice was broken service was abundant. So many cute items in addition to flags. Great for gift shopping for that "unique" find. Report card: Parking: A- (park in the back if there's no street parking and walk through the cute garden.) it may be packed during peak times. Facility: A+ Once a collection of homes on a busy street, now connected with converted rooms (even the kitchen) into stores. Service: B+ (grade was lowered to to how long it took to acknowledge me. Other customers seemed to be greeted, not sure what the issue was. Once I was noticed, service was gracious. Prices: B- For some of the more common Flag brands, they were slightly higher but they micro-manage the inventory so you may find what you're looking for easier than a box store. Very deceiving name. This place is full of nick-nacks, knick-knacks, chotchkies, trinkets, curios, bric-a-brac, souvenirs, novelty, baubles, gewgaw, and gimcrack. Stuff for your garden, your home, your pets, you, your friends, family, whatever. There's something for everybody. Flags, candles, bird feeders, chimes, waterfalls, garden gnomes, paintings, soaps, bath salts, figurines, dog bowls, cat statues, piggy banks, crosses, frames, wine glasses, cheese serving trays, wine stoppers, OH MY GOD IT NEVER ENDS! EVERY EFFEN CORNER THERE'S SOME SORT OF ODD THING TO LOOK AT!! It's amongst a few stores next to Shenandoah by the Arbor restaurant in a converted old house. You need some sort of last minute gift for that hard to shop person this is the place. I'm giving this store 5 stars in the knick--knack category. I purchased two beautiful flags for my house. Both flags are three dimensional, vibrant, heavy duty and made of high-quality material (burlap). The flags hold up nicely and don't flip over with the wind. I purchased one flag half off and the other one at a very reasonable regular price. This shop is very welcoming and staged beautifully. They carry a wide variety of flags, beautiful handmade home and garden decor, jewelry and so much more. The store clerk, Judy is very helpful and courteous. I'm a returning customer. Love the selection of this store but the service leaves much to be desired. There was no one in the store other than me shopping and the salesperson couldn't be bothered to say hello or even help. When I shared what I wanted she made me go get it off the wall rather then offer to help. She even left the store while we were inside. In times when I want to support small business this left a bad taste in my mouth. I still purchased a sign. Two days after having it on my wall, I noticed it was coming apart. I tried to reach out 3 times on their website chat feature. Don't be fooled they won't get right back to you. Every time I called, it just rang. I will deal with wasting $63 on a sign that won't stay together. Homegoods had some great options for half the price and a smile to help. Shop Seal Beach or other stores where the owners actually value you and don't snub you. read more

Love this store,BUT too bad every time I go in there the ladies are completely rude to me and make me feel unwelcome. Never have I felt that maybe because I'm black or may give off the appearance of not having money would effect the service I get at a store. Little do these women know I can afford anything at that store.I walked up to buy a heart shaped planter and she looks at me and said that's $50.00 (she looked shocked that I wanted to buy it and hesitated to ring me up) and I said ok that's fine, is it for sale? She said yeah but most people balk at the price (she had an attitude). Clearly she didn't think I'd pay that. Well guess what, I'm black and I don't care how much it cost. I reached in my Gucci purse pulled out my Louis Vitton wallet and bought it!! Suddenly they were chit chatty. Got the same exact treatment at the store next door, young couple didn't greet me and quickly put their heads down, not welcoming at all. Probably would get more sales out of all those shops if the employees would stop gossiping with eachother and actually engage with shoppers and TRY to SELL!!!!!!!! I didn't care the price, it was exactly what I was looking for to give my sister as a gift as she collects heart rocks. A nice little American shop with lots of cool nic-nacs. What started out as a flag shop has becaome a mom and pop Hallmark style shop. Gnomes Pots Waterfalls Greetings cards Costume Jewelry Garden Decorations Flags Etc etc... This is the type of shop my mother loves to come to. She loves to buy their unique garden supplies and decorations. If you love the old school country good ol' American shops, come check it out. I love this store. Don't pay attention to the name: They have a LOT more than flags. It's filled with all sorts of cute knick-knacks, and like Elizabeth said before me, you'll have no trouble find something for anyone female. My favourite wallet came from here. There's also a cute back room with all sorts of dog and cat collectibles, if you're an animal lover like me. The only critique I have with this place are the prices: I think they could be a little lower. Still a real cute boutique, though. read more

I love this charming little shop set on a street of charming shops and a pretty OK eatery right on Los Alamitos Blvd. FWF is small but packed with all sorts of goodies especially around the holidays and this is the sort of shop we all need to frequent and support. As big box stores wipe out the little folks this shop has managed to stay afloat, the sales ladies are wonderful the shop always looks great and they have FAR more than flags and windsocks-I always seem to find some enchanting goodie or six every time I visit stop and shop-get some great holiday gifts and then wander over to Shennedoah at the Arbor (the cafe) and have their GERMAN BUTTER POUNDCAKE-TO DIE FOR YUMMY GOOD-I also had a butterfinger creme brulee there recently that was amazing-its 2 doors over-pretty good street and lot parking in the rear---They also do a clever gift wrap at the holidays free of charge- GO THERE!!! Buyer beware!!! Don't spend your money at this store. They do not give returns on anything. Beware their flags are over priced by at least $10.00 a flag. I tried to explain that to the clerk she said she could care less and knew their flags were price inflated. Not once when I bought the flags did they say no refunds. They should make sure anyone purchasing knows the policy. This store is a rip off. Don't buy a flag from them. You can get the same flag half their price at Alan paper company. This store just wants to take your money. The clerk could care less she ripped me off she actually laughed because she knew they were way more than anyother place. I will never recommend them and will make sure all social media knows they rip you off. I will tell anyone in the area not to shop at Flags with a Flare. This store is a rip off. They never offered the 10% for first time shopper. They just want to rip off the customer. read more
