We are remodeling our backyard and wanted to get rid of a few trees the previous owner erroneously planted. I did a little research and found FJR Tree, who had great reviews. I gave them a call and had Tim out for an estimate. He was a really nice guy and very knowledgeable. By the end of the day, I had a fantastic quote, which was very reasonable for the work. The guys came out, as scheduled, and removed the requested trees in no time at all. Cut them down, removed all the branches and such, and then grinder down the stumps with a really cool remote machine. They were also very nice and did an amazing job! Watching a giant dying ash being taken down was the most amazing thing I have seen in a while. Thought I would work at home and watch the FJR Tree service once in a while. Nope, I had to watch every second of the process. With my mouth wide open in amazement and wondered how this can be done with such perfection. All wearing red with helmets and walkie-talkies it was like watching synchronized swimming. Everyone knew where they should be at the right moment. The crane would hold the branch. Someone in a bucket would cut the branch. The branch would come down and two people would cut the branch up. Skid loader would pick up the branches and place them in the chipper. Someone managed the chipper and traffic. Rakers and blowers would clean up the job. All around amazing work and well worth the cost. They should sell tickets and have people watch. read more

We had FJR out again to check our trees, do some deadwood removal and seasonal pruning. As always, they were on time and professional. They had several staff members here for about 3 hours. When they left, the trees looked great, my yard was cleaner than when they started. Always a great experience at a reasonable price. Regretfully, they will be returning to remove our (guessing) 100 year old maple tree. It's been a good run, however, it has several splits and hollow areas and is too close to the house to keep. We'll keep the wood and enjoy the evening fires thinking about the shade it had provided. We would definitely recommend FJR for any of your tree maintenance needs. read more

Between a good friend and the yelp reviews I called FJR tree removal. Through Yelp I requested a quote and got to send a picture of my leaning pine tree. I got a response and quote the next day. The earliest they could come was a week. Much to my surprise, I got a call from the owner saying he was in the neighborhood, had some down time and could they come over. They have cut down 6 total trees for us over the years including 2 huge dead oaks. They are incredibly professional and safe. Excellent experience with these guys! I came to yelp looking for a tree removal service and found them so highly ranked, thought I'd give them a call for an estimate and now I know why! To start, Fred came out and spent over an hour walking around my property with me (1/2 acre) to draw up a tree removal estimate (free). Not only did he talk about the trees that I needed removed but was happy to discuss the additional trees in our yard and educate me on what to look for and their overall health. From getting the estimate the very next day, the office staff communicated very quickly and the tree removal was on the calendar. We did get a 2nd quote from another company and these guys came in definitely below the other quote. No call no show after scheduling a service quote. If they aren't responsive before they win the job what are they like after?

We called to get a quote on 1 tree to cut down. They told us it would be 1 week until we can get the quote on a tree. The lady called me to confirm and I said I will get back to her after I talk to my husband, as we have gotten another quote within that week of waiting. She ended up canceling on ME! They may not need my service, but I will be sure to let people know of their customer service to their community. I don't know if she took it personally that I was going to get back to her on the confirmation, but that's not how you treat a potential customer. read more

This is not our first experience with FJR, in fact they've done work for us twice before. They do a great job, its clear that safety is a high priority as you watch them orchestrate the removal of a tree/branches to clean up - which oh by the way, is exceptional! These guys are fabulous!!! I recently moved in to a new home with a backyard that was a bit of a jungle. The main issues were small trees that had grown randomly all over the yard, taken over some power lines as well as branches resting on/just above my roof. Tim was able to come out right away to provide a quote. Not only did he provide a reasonable quote, but he was able to squeeze me in to their schedule so I was able to get my fence installed before the cold set in. Fred came out for a free quote and even offered professional suggestions while reviewing what I needed done. I had a quote in my email the next day and the rates were very reasonable. We received their quote on Tuesday morning, selected them Wednesday evening and they were here at the scheduled time on Friday. The work was excellent and cleanup was great - so little 'evidence' that they were here that you would not know it unless you were looking for it.
