It is now 8:24 PM, and the technician, Mason, never arrived. I attempted to call him this evening, but there was no answer. To accommodate this appointment, I took the entire day off from work. Unfortunately, my time was treated with complete disregard. In fact, I had to call your office three separate times before noon just to confirm that the appointment was still scheduled. At 12:21 PM, I spoke with Mason, who informed me that he was running late and estimated his arrival between 5:40 PM and 6:20 PM. Around 5:00 PM, he called again to say he would instead arrive between 7:30 PM and 8:00 PM. After yet another delay, I called him and expressed that I was no longer willing to continue waiting. At that point, I was told he was experiencing car problems. While I understand that unexpected issues can occur, the repeated delays, lack of communication, and failure to follow through on the appointment were completely unacceptable. Throughout the day, I received multiple changing arrival times, yet no one ultimately showed up. To make matters worse, I currently have water leaking into my basement, making this a time-sensitive repair rather than a routine service call. This experience demonstrated a serious lack of professionalism and respect for a customer's time. I expected much better communication, reliability, and accountability. It was then I called Roto-Rooter and asked for a copy of any signed contract. When it finally came, I saw the part I have posted that said when they use a camera, if the camera is not able to see when the problem is due to any obstacles in the way, then they cannot guarantee the problem being fixed. My late husband, 75 yrs old at the time, put his initials on that line but then why charge all the money if you cannot resolve the issue? I am now suing them in small claims court.
