Fix for life is a spay/neuter program offered through New Leash on Life. You can contact them by email at fixforlife@newleashonline.com or by phone 615-453-2349. Its a clinic that does lots of things like nail trimming, ear cleaning, microchipping and so on, but they also fix pets. Their regular clinic hours are Mondays through Thursdays 8:00 AM - 5 PM but surgeries are by appointment only. I haven't found that many inexpensive places to fix a pet in the Lebanon area so this is really awesome!! Female cat $40 Male cat $30 Female dog less than 50 lbs. $53-55 Female dog over 50 lbs. $72 male dog less than 50 lbs. $43-45 Male dog over 50 lbs. $57 They give discounts to non-profit rescue groups who have a large number of animals who need to be spayed or neutered but they also have another option where you can use their mobile station for the day and a vet does 30 surgeries for $1300! Super good deal! That saves so many animals' lives. Fix for life really does so much for the community! They've helped a few rescues that I volunteer with and really have made spaying and neutering possible when it was nearly impossible any other way. We picked up a stray that ended up having a litter of kittens. We took her to Fix for Life after she was done nursing and everything went smoothly and well. The staff is friendly and thoughtful, and they called a few days later to check on her. We'll be taking the three kittens we still have to Fix for Life as well. I can't justify paying 6 times as much at our vet when Fix for Life does just as good of a job as any other general vet. My only complaint is that it's hard to get them to pick up the phone, and when I've left a message, it wasn't returned. They do work with a limited staff, and it seems like there are times of the day (during designated drop offs in the morning and pickups in the afternoon, I've noticed) where they don't answer, so maybe that's all it is? read more

I live in Ashland City and I have taken several of my pets and my daughter's to Fix4Life. They are very friendly and care about your pet. In checking the places close to me, it was very worth the drive to Lebanon to save money and still get good quality care for my pets. The others were going to charge me as much and more in some cases as 4 times as much as I paid for great care at Fix4Life. They keep them overnight and the next morning you pick up your precious babies and take them home for more TLC and not a worry about them. One of my Kitties had a hard time with her spay, the vet on duty took the time to talk to me and gave her an antibiotic shot to help her, he did not have the best of news for me but she is just fine now, happy and healthy as can be. We are lucky to have this clinic in our town. I also took some of my other cats in for shots, they were quick, gentle, painless and it was harder to round up the cats to take them down for their shots beforehand! read more

This place is a real service to the community. I was referred to them by the Spay Station in Gallatin. Much like the Humane Society & the Rover program. They do spay/neuter for cats & dogs at greatly reduced prices. Even do the feline leukemia test and other optional tests at a huge savings. They also do free spay/neuter on feral cats. They may say they provide a Service for the community but good luck getting them to answer the phone if you need to make an appt. I had to call New Leach on life to get my appts. set up. And they Cancel out on me 3 different time. Come on folks if you care some much about the animals and your that busy sounds like more people are needed to help out. read more

I was optimistic about the fixed for life Mobil service at first. It was in my price range and the pick up was convient to where I live...But as soon as I got home my 5 month kitty was coming down off the anistia and it was my job to put the E- collar on her.... It was war. She was freaked out and the E- collar was too big! I tried to come up with other solutions, but it didn't not worked, so I had to let her sleep without one that night, and without any sedatives or medication which resulted to her licking at her womb all night long. Now I understand this varies with cats and not all mess with it. I called the emergency vet line they gave me and the girl was not very helpful. My kitten was smelling very strongly and got an infection immediately the next day. I told the girl and she subscribed her antibiotics, which was fine and all, but she did no ask for me to bring her in to examine her-which looking back I'm shocked that I let that happen. The next day my kitty was still not better, and finally her womb had opened up even more due to the glued stitches she licked off, and no sedatives to ensure that she would relax and not mess with it. Plus, she was in pain and uncomfortable. I was worried and we were both stressed, so I took her to the emergency vet in Nashville and they had to give her anestia again and bandage the womb. The next day I took her to my vet that I always use, and they had to re-stitch her. She is still there recuperating. I originally paid $45 with fixed for life... Now I've paid almost $800 due to this horrible process... And yes I was inexperienced, but no one at fixed fir life instrutpcted me on post-op dos and don'ts. These discount places are good for a strays, but it's really like giving your cat the lowest of low of anesthesia, meds and care. I want to put the word out to really question whether or not this is the best place for you. I know their cause is good, but the care was not. I don't ever write things like this, but I can hopefully help someone who thinks its in the budget and say, please spend a little more and go tinValue Vet, they at least stitch the womb instead of glue it and provide medication afterwards. read more

I called Fix for life and left 3 messages over the span of two weeks and my call was not returned once. Finally caught someone who answered and made an appointment for the next week. When I showed up to my appointment, I was told by the rude lady up front that I was not on the list and didn't have an appointment. I assured her that I made an appointmet the week before. She went to the back and returned with an unwashed tech who informed me that they were full and I should have made an appointment. Again, I assured them that I had the week before. THEY THEN IMPLIED THAT I WAS A LIER!!!!! All this after the so called secretary stated that the cat that runs around the office erases appointments on the computer all the time!!!! They refused to help me or my pets. WHAT KIND OF PLACE IS THIS? PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!
