A week later, I got another call and the vet had taken the time to review her records and make a recommended plan for long-term treatment of the issue. It is hard to find medical services that will take the time to care - Bluegrass Vet Hospital has taken the time and effort to care. So he shoved a capstan down my LETHARGIC cats move and said, he should be better in 48 hours...WELL MY CAT WAS DEAD 48 HOURS LATER. Have you ever witnessed a cat dying? it was one of the most horrific things that I have ever witnessed. And then when I called to find out what happened... after i had to tell him numerous times MY CAT WAS A BOY NOT A GIRL...lets just say that he was a horribly MEAN MONSTER WHO HUNG UP ON ME! He is one of the last standing doctors that truly are treating animals for the love of it. He's not in a fancy building, no fancy high tech equipment, no staff runs it all by himself. Everyone I encountered was super nice and friendly to me and my dog. They were patient with my dog too, who has major anxiety. Sunday morning and our dog woke up with mobility issues and crying in obvious pain. There are very…read morelimited options on Sunday mornings but I was relieved to find this vet open and that they also offered online check in. I waited at home and arrived at my appointment time. We were taken into a clean fresh room. And seen within about 10 minutes by the Dr who diagnosed our girl with a bulged disc without the need of expensive X-rays. We went home with pain relief and instructions. We will follow up with our regular vet this week. Cost was very reasonable for urgent treatment. They will be my go to weekend vet going forward.
