I opened a Yelp account just to complain about fix a phone. Went a few months ago with my wife's phone to get the power cord Jack repaired . Was told it was fine and sold me a new charger as a remedy. Charger was $5 above retail, but bought it anyway to save time. Had to go to another repair place the next week to get it fixed. Took my other phone there last week with a broken screen. Went back to give another chance for a small business and it is also convenient to my house. They repaired the phone just fine but took twice as long as they said they would. Phone worked great for a couple of days until the screen fell out and broke. Took it back at the end of the week and they declined to repair it because I did not bring it back in due time. Refused to stand behind their work and quoted a higher price to fix it again. Very UNPROFESSIONAL. THEY SUCK. Don't go here! read more

I would give this place less than a star if I could. I had a broken iPad and I mean the screen was shattered to pieces but the functionality of the device was still perfect. When I received the fixed screen the iPad was completely unresponsive to touch commands. The home button was also just stuck into the hole and not repaired properly. The iPad ultimately does not work now thanks to this vendor. I will be taking it back tomorrow and demanding it be repaired again correctly. A broken Ipad should never work better than a fixed iPad. They ruined my device do not use this vendor. You are throwing money away on terrible service and terrible repairs the employee knew the iPad wasn't working properly and still have it back and did not disclose this information. read more

It sounded promising because I was told the screen would have to be ordered and it would take a few days. I was ok with that. The new screen that came in supposedly was no good... Beware! I took my iphone 6 there about a month ago. They kept my phone for over 2 weeks. Never called me to let me know what the issues were until i contacted them. They told me that their technician was on vacation thats the reason for the delay. I ended up picking up my phone, however he handed me a cracked iphone. When i told him that i didnt give them a crack phone he took it back and swapped out the screen. Not once did he apologies for his shadiness. Come to find out, i decided to take my phone to the apple store and they informed me that they switched the real iphone screen for an imitation screen which voided my warranty. Took my iphone there for basic cracked screen. picked it up and made a call in the car and the phone kept muting my call and pushing the keypad with my cheek. I dropped it back by and he said it was good to go only to find same thing wrong again as soon as i left. I took it back by the next day and he said my phone is fine! he made a 2 second call to the store with it and didnt touch the phone to his face and blamed the problem on how i hold my phone to my face. Terrible customer service. I ordered a replacement battery for my my phone and when I called to ask how long it would take, I was told about an hour and that I wouldn't need an appointment. I drop the phone off around 11am and was told pick up between 2 and 3pm. Okay, not the time frame I was told originally and now I have to drive back up here from 30 minutes away but I'm in a rush so I go with it. My husband calls them at 2pm to confirm pickup, the guy says it will definitely be ready by 3pm. I show up at 3:30pm, I was told they need another hour. I kill an hour at Starbucks and go back at 4:30pm. Was told that they needed another 45 minutes. At this point I am done and I ask to speak to a manager. The guy working there said there wasn't one there, he was there by himself. I ask if he can give me a manager's number or can he call them, he says no. I give him a landline and ask for a manager to call me ASAP on that number. I get a call from someone saying that 1-the phone was harder to fix than they thought and 2-they've been really busy today. I get both of those reasons but jerking your customer back and forth saying it will be ready but when they show up it isn't REPEATEDLY is terrible customer service. I finally get a call at 6:15pm that my phone is ready. Picked it up and got a "sorry, we were busy" from the guy at the front and the manager never came to talk to me. read more

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use this dishonest business. The window over the fingerprint sensor broke on my phone. I called and was told the part would be ordered, and ready in 2 days. The repair would take about 30 minutes. I went in and sure enough the part was in and they had me back up and running in no time. I noticed that the picture quality on my phone was WAY down, and the camera could not focus properly. I was out of town and was going to go in when I got back. While on my trip, the same screen broke again on the phone. I went in and the clerk looked at the phone and told me it should not have broken that fast, and he would order a new window. I came back a week later and was told the part was not there and they would order it. The clerk took my name and number and told me they would call when it arrived. I was working out of town for 2 weeks and when I arrived back, called and was told the part was not ordered because I had not paid a deposit. Was not asked for a deposit when I was in the first time, and never called to let me know they needed a deposit. HORRIBLE customer service. How do these people stay in business. read more

Very disappointed in both service and caring. I brought my phone over a week before and they ordered me a new charging port. I explained I was having surgery so when I came back the following week, I'd have to wait around locally while they fixed it. They said it would take an hour. I allowed extra time, giving them 2 hours and returned and they had not even started on my phone. They asked me to come back in a couple of hours. Honestly, the first screen that was replaced went bad two months after replacement and I thought. "Uh oh!" But Fix-A-Phone made it right. I am so sorry I didn't read these reviews before I took my teenage son's Android phone LCD screen to be replaced at Fix A Phone. We brought the phone in June 1, 2016. I paid for the repair in advance with my credit card. The same thing happened to us as happened to a previous reviewer. We were told it would take a couple of days once they ordered the part. After waiting over a week, we called to get an update. We were told the part they received was the wrong part and a new screen was being ordered and someone would let us know when the phone was repaired. I foolishly didn't keep track of the dates or excuses, but we pretty much went through the same scenario again, except this time no one would even answer the phone during business hours. We drove over on June 25 and were told they were once again sent the wrong part. When I said that we had already waited an unreasonable amount of time and that I was upset that we hadn't been called, the young man working that day called his boss and explained the situation and my son was given a free loaner phone. We were also assured that we would be called when the new part came in. Approximately two weeks later my older son offered to handle the situation as he thought he could get better results than we had. No one answered the phone the first few times he called, so he figured they recognized our number and didn't want to deal with us anymore. So he called on his own cell phone and magically someone picked up on the other end. This time, I believe he was told that the replacement screen was broken. My son was also told that the store was now under new ownership and that the person he was speaking, too, James, was trying to clean up the mess. He asked for sympathy and assured my son he would get a new part and as soon as the part came in our phone would get first priority. After about another week of back and forth, my older son finally got back in touch with James and was told the part was in, but they were backed up and couldn't get to the repair right away. My son pointed out that he had been assured our phone would get priority, but James insisted he had never said that. (I know that's not true because I was listening when James assured my son the phone would get priority). When my son called him out, James got defensive and kept saying this was out of his control and he hadn't even been involved at the beginning. He then assured my son he'd get the phone fixed within a couple of days and would call him when it was fixed. Around three days later, we still couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. On July 27, my son got in touch with the same young man I had dealt with who gave us the loaner phone. He said the phone still wasn't fixed and something to the effect of "why are you so upset, the loaner phone is better than the one we're fixing?" to which my son replied something to the effect of, "No, it's not. And my little brother's stuff is on the phone you're fixing. Can I at least get a guarantee the phone will be fixed today?" He couldn't get a guarantee and the phone connection mysteriously dropped. My older son and I decided to drive over. The employee didn't deny it when my son explained who he was and "you hung up on me earlier". He explained that if we couldn't get the phone repaired by the end of the business day we wanted the phone back and a complete refund. The young man called James, who refused to guarantee the phone would be ready and got really heated and asked my son why he was hassling him and how this wasn't his fault. When my son explained that eight weeks is an unreasonable amount of time to have to wait for a repair and any other business would have compensated us in some way, James said my son was "smoking crack". Later in the conversation that went nowhere, he called my son a crackhead. He also refused to refund the money for the repair. I eventually took the phone from my son, explained that I understood that James couldn't help that he'd been sent the wrong part, but that he should have figured out by now that he should have gone elsewhere for the part and that I wanted a refund and the phone back. He said the phone was in pieces and we'd have to wait for the technician to put it back together. I said I'd wait there for it. He said it couldn't be done by closing time. I said "then just give me the phone as it is and my refund". He told me he wasn't doing that because we agreed to have the phone repaired there and that he'd given my son the loaner. I countered that my son wanted his own phone with apps back and we'd waited long enough. Skipping a lot more back and forth, I finally told James that if he didn't return the phone right away and give me a refund I'd report him to the Better Business Bureau and the credit card company. He still tried to get out of it, but eventually gave in and we returned the loaner phone. read more

I have used fix a phone previously due to a shattered screen, the first time I picked it up, it was perfect, no issues. The next few hours with my new screen, my screen didn't work at all. I brought it back, they fixed it and it was fine. This time, I took it in Friday, July 8th and the place apparently was about to unexpectedly close, there was a lady there and she still took my phone; I told her the issues, she took my information and told me to come back the next Monday. I called Monday morning about three times after they opened and no one answered so I drove down there and the place was still closed! Online it said they were open AND she told me to come back on that day! I have called back every day this week AFTER their opening time and they still will not answer! I feel like I have been stolen from! Whether it was a family emergency or bankruptcy, or something else, some one should have notified the customers about the situation to stop incoming business for the time being. My phone should not have been taken from me once I came in to drop it off. I am still waiting for a call back! read more

Took my galaxy s5 to get the cracked glass replaced. During the repair they broke my phone more by breaking the LCD screen. This delayed the repair. After I got it back the home button was jammed and had to take it back to get that fixed. If that wasn't enough after a few weeks the new LCD they installed began to malfunction. It had dead zones and eventually would start randomly tapping all over the screen. At this point the phone was unusable. They had managed to make the phone much worse. They will promise to call with updates (at least 3 occasions I was told they would get back with me the next day) and I have NEVER received a call from them. I was told the second repair would be done within a week, which for me is important because I am from out of town and would be leaving the day after it was supposed to be finished. Never heard from them and when I called all they told me is it wasn't ready still. Terrible customer service. read more
