I have to say that I've never been to a restaurant with an Australian bent, and I absolutely love it - semi-random in the middle of Park City, but a refreshing change. Of course, it's just hints - you could probably dine there and not even notice (except maybe for the Vegemite spread option!). The menu isn't huge, but it has plenty of options, from basic egg dishes to more adventurous shakshouka and short rib benedict. The real crown jewel is the presentation - absolutely beautiful plating, with amazing colors (beet spread!) and attention to detail. Oh, and try the Aussie-style iced coffee - basically iced coffee with a scoop of ice cream in it - WHY ARE AUSSIES SO SMART?! Doesn't quite hit the 5-star rating as service and food were both really slow, but then again, it's quite a crowded and busy place on a weekend morning. read more

Wow! Where has this place been hiding! We were familiar with The Market and were stopping by to grab my favorite Ritual Chocolate, when we spotted Five5eeds. My curiosity piqued, so we checked out the menu and looked at the plates coming out. The food looked gorgeous. My daughter being celiac, we always need to be careful of where we eat. The wait staff was friendly and accommodated ALL of my questions and even checked on extra ingredients (we also can't do egg-yolks/nuts etc). I LOVE this place!! Great food makes me happy, and this was the perfect start to my day! I ordered my fresh squeezed OJ (so good!) and the Shakshouka, which was so tasty, and the bread that came with it was soft with a slight outer crisp - perfect! I am glad I ordered more because this dish, although tasty, wasn't filling enough for me. (Did I mention I love to eat?) I also ordered the Breakfast Panna Cotta, which was mango flavored with their own local granola that was so good! It wasn't overly sweet but the mango flavor gave it the perfect YUM for breakfast. Presentation was A+! My friend ordered the basics - eggs, bacon and toast - but he said it was the best looking breakfast he's ever seen and it tasted really good! We will be coming back tomorrow for breakfast before heading out of town. This is now my go-to spot every time I'm in Salt Lake....yes, this is worth the 30 minute drive! UPDATE: Came back for breakfast and ordered the steel cut oatmeal and the hotcake. The oatmeal seemed to pop in your mouth, which I love from good grains. We really enjoyed this place! Unique, tasty, and surprisingly hearty and filling! I love that they use local, fresh ingredients but aren't too pricey! They have a fun, Park City vibe with cute furniture and decorations. They even have blankets hanging up for you to use if it gets chilly! Lindsey, our sever was great, helpful, and fast! The whole place had great customer service. Now for the food! WOW! We were blown away and truly not expecting it to be so flavorful and filling! I ordered the mashed avo on toast and they seriously put a whole avocado on it! They also have some extra secret sauce on the side that was so yummy. My husband got the hot cakes, which comes with local edible flowers and berries. It was huge and delicious. We also ordered a side of sausage and bacon. The sausage was exceptionally flavorful juicy! This place is exquisite! I love the vibe, the decor is really cool, very urban and stylish. Everything on the menu sounded amazing, so we asked for recommendations. We ordered avocado toast with a poached egg, summer special ahi poke bowl, and a new menu item of the savory waffle and chook (refined and a more delicious fried chicken). The avocado toast was pretty good, it needed some coarse sea salt, and the bread was a little tough, it was hard to cut through. The savory waffle with chorizo and haloumi, was freakin amazing, the chook, absolutely mouth watering! Loved it. I was a little disappointed with the ahi poke bowl. It needed some acid, perhaps sesame oil, or coconut aminos, and maybe some fresh ginger would have been nice. It was still good. My kids had hot caked and googs. Kids food was perfect, they loved it. I let the waiter talk me into the bbq pork egg Benedict instead of the veggie. Toast was "well" done (black on the edges, hard to bite into because it was so crispy). The bbq was too spicy. I had coffee to drink, asked for sugar. They brought one packet like they were hoarding it. When I asked for more, they looked at me like I was asking for too many. The service was horrible. Pretty much put my food in front of me and did not come check on me at all (I felt like this was important especially because he talked me into something else).... if they would have checked back I would have complained about the food. I was starving, so I scraped off the bbq and ate it. I have been looking forward to eating here for months!!! I don't know if it was because I was alone or what. The big disappointment was the ahi poke bowl. The ahi was at room temperature instead of being cold. Not good!!! Also, the sauce isn't very good, but everything else in the bowl is fantastic. I really didn't want to write this review but after our first visit to Five5eeds I feel obligated to share it with the business owner because he seems like a genuinely nice guy(he brought our food out) Five5eeds was recommended from a few friends so we wanted to try it, we drove up an hour to park city for breakfast and than waited another hour to get a table, which was fine because we assumed it would be a wonderful brunch. Inside of the restaurant was beautifully modern and staffed well & very clean. We ordered the burgers & peach French toast and it was a complete disappointment. Burgers weren't even close to being cooked how we asked and the peaches on the French toast were horrible and not ripe, my burger was severely overcooked when I asked for medium and the fries were soggy and not nearly fresh out of the fryer. I didn't want to make a fuss when we were there but when you drive an hour and spend $70 for a good brunch and it ends up being not good at all,the wife didn't hardly touch her plate, it doesn't leave you with a good feeling. Love this brooklyn-y vibe in this cafe, as well as the australian spin on the menu (don't worry there were no canned beets). Yes it was a bit crowded and there was a bit of a wait, and it was a wee bit overpriced for Utah, but not out of the ballpark for Park City. Some of our favorites were: Australian Iced Coffee- amazing, but then again hard to go wrong with caffeine and ice cream combo. Short Ribs Benedict- great combo of flavors here. The hollandaise was just rich enough that it didn't overtake the flavor in the ribs, and the added granny smith apples gave it just the right amount of bite Tim Tam French toast- this was good because chocolate and cabs duh, but the presentation was doing a lot more for me than the actual flavor combos. Beautifully plated (see pics) but this one was more instagramable than anything else (but here i am with like 8 dif pictures of it on my phone, so maybe that's what they were going for/look whos laughing now). Might have knocked off a star because the french toast didnt rock my world, but the staff were all super friendly and kind even tho we came at the height of the saturday brunch rush. FOOD: Ordered the burger ($16) and my friend ordered the Pulled Pork Benedict ($14.50). The burger was great, we ordered it to be cooked medium and it came out well done (wasn't stoked about that part), but the garnishing on the burger was top notch. In fact, I'd say it's the best Mocha I've ever had. The "espresso handles" on the door, and the blankets up on the wall are great touches. Service was excellent in our first visit, but not as great on our subsequent ones. Food was outstanding every time. I walk in with my family and get seated by a nice employee. The waitor asks what drinks do we want. I order a lovely green matcha,and one of my son's orders orange juice. The waiter also asks what we want for food. I order an acai bowl,and both my sons order hotcakes. My drink comes and has a bear on it made with cream. My green matcha tastes delicious and frothy. Five5eeds gets Five5 stars. Hipster, vibey place in Park City. Came here for breakfast. There were lots of good options but I ended up wanting to try the hot cake. Man oh man it was yummmmmyyyy. Had amazing lemon flavor with a lot of fresh fruit. The hot cake isn't a pancake though, more of a scone type texture. It doesn't look like it'll be enough food but it is quite dense.
