I have been going here for pedicures and acrylics for about 4 years now. Their prices are the best I've found yet. Lucy is my all time favorite girl for both services. She was gone for awhile so I have been making appointments with Nancy lately who does an excellent job as well. If you don't want to wait forever it is best to make an appointment. I've never spent less than an hour and a half in this shop (includes wait time and time being serviced) so I always make it a point to go on a day when I am not in a rush. The only girl Ive ever had a bad experience with is the manager Jennifer, she's terrible. She's extremely rude and did such a horrible job on my acrylics I went back the next day when Lucy was available to fix them. read more

The pedicure was fine, but they didn't ask if I wanted the callous remover. She just did it anyways and then charged me for it. The entire thing cost $20 + $1 credit card charge + tip. And I had to wait 30 mins. The new chairs were nice, though. read more

I came here about a week ago to get a fill and a pedicure since it is nearby my house and I regret it. First all the nails were not even and the color chipped off one of them even though it was gel the next day. My pedicure was decent I thought until about three days later I started to get pain on my big toe from my left feet. Each day it started aching more so I took off the nail polish and realized my toe had fungus....ewwwww. I have been getting pedicures done since high school and never once have I gotten fungus until visiting this place. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Worst service ever! I came in asking for a gel manicure and a pedicure. There were only 4 other customers with no one else waiting. It started off OK with my pedicure but when they started my manicure the girl said "just cuticles and polish." I said that I wanted a gel manicure and she look annoyed. She proceeded with the manicure and 15 minutes in a woman walks in who is apparently her appointment. She leaves to set her up in a spa chair and comes back and starts rushing. By then more walk-ins came in and everyone was busy. She proceeded to ask if it was OK if someone else did the color because her appointment was there. I asked who was doing it since everyone was already busy. The annoyance on her face was pretty clear. She moved me from a spa chair to a table where she proceeded to rush the gel application. I know my nails are short but if I can paint my nails without getting it on my skin, then some one who's licenced should have no problem. WRONG. She would paint my skin and scrap it off with her nail but would continously scratch the gel off my finger nail this having to repaint it. I point out missed areas and she said "oh I put more coats." Yeah, she still missed them. I had been there so long that I didn't care anymore. After curing the gel she tells me thank you. I ask if she's going to remove the gel polish from my skin and she tell me no because it will come off by itself. I asked if she was kidding me but she wasnt. She was serious. I am extremely picky about my nails. Usually when I go get them done I try to kindly explain how I want them to look and the manicurist always seems annoyed. At Five Star they were very kind and helpful. I've been here three times already and my nails looked amazing every time. read more

I was down the street at my usual nail place that was booked for the next 2 hours, so I found Five Star Nails down the street. Noticed that it had almost five stars but the nail job I had done does not reflect the stars they have on this app! We called to see if they were accepting walk ins for a mani/pedi & full set/pedi, and the person who answered was super sweet and said of course they were. Luckily my cousin had her do her mani/pedi while I was stuck with this rude ass nail tech. She did such a horrible job, filed down MY nails down to her liking and finished within 35 minutes!! I asked for a coffin shaped nails and she kept asking me if they were okay. I looked at my nails and about 3 of them looked squared while the rest were coffin. I had told her that those nails needed to be fixed and she proceeded to fix them with a nasty attitude and she started to yank my hands. Super unsatisfied. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. Firstly, they did not have enough people working to handle all the customers. Hands and feet should be done at the same time. The girl doing my pedicure was so rough she cut my toe. She was in a hurry and clearly wanted to be done for the day. Then made some lame excuse as to why she needed to hurt me. Then this same girl did the manicure for my friend and using a Emory board pressed so hard and rough it was like she was chiseling away at her finger but treated it like a stone and ended up cutting it. Instead of this being relaxing we both felt as though we had been beat up and tortured. My friends mani/pedi was terrible.. they did not paint her nails correctly and she ended up having to go home and redo everything.. A complete TOTAL waste of money and our time. I would not have given this place ANY stars at all. But no option not to. read more

My daughter and I went to get gel manicures and pedicures after spending $95.00 (tip included) just 7days later my gel started peeling off, when i went back to see if they would fix them they wanted another $13, owner stated gel manicure only lasts 10 days. first off let me say it was my first time there and I was NOT impressed at all!! everything was a mess and dust covered everything. they only had 3 people working and I had to wait for 20 minutes when any other nail place I've been to had at least 5-6 people working...anyways on to the bigger problem! There is a BIG'o sign in the window that says Mani + Pedi $20 but when you walk inside there is a little tiny sign says Mani/Pedi $23 OK whatever but when you have a BIG sign in the window I would assume you are having a special and I would pay $20...NOT the case! I asked to pay before my nails got painted and when she gave me the total she said $23 when I told her "your sign says $20" she told me "no that's for a full set" so I took her outside and showed her the sign...her response was "oh yeah it does say that but no its $23" didn't offer me the lower price AND then charged me a $1 service fee to use my debit card...not cool! So after i pay $24 damn dollars she begins to paint my nails and they were awful!!! So bad that when i got home i removed the color and here I am writing them a bad review! they don't even deserve 1 star. I know she did a bad job deliberately because I told them they need to take the sign down because its misleading but maybe that's what the use to get people in there...shame shame!! Not the best place to get a manicure, the staff is fairly friendly but the services wasn't the best. The service started off wrong because the girl doing my gel nail started to buff and push back the cuticles without soaking it wasn't until she was done with one and and had start on the second that she remembered and start to soak my nails. After that her next mistake was that she wasn't taking her time paint the nails, it wasn't like she had a lot of clients waiting I was alone in there, yet she was rushing and the polish kept getting on my skin, she would then painfully scrape the polish of with her nails. After she was done and the gel nails had cured all the way I looked at my nails and was not very pleased. The polish either touched or was on my skin wish gave the nails an ugly look and the there was a hair that had been painted over and was now stuck in one of my nails. Unhappy. Bad service. Would not recommend it to my friends or family. My sister and I went in and I wanted to get my toes and nails done. I kept showing them a picture of the acrylic nails I wanted. I might have said medi and they started the mani. I've never had a mani so I didn't know but when she realized that's what I wanted she made a big deal. She even told me next time I go there or anywhere that that's what a mani looked like. Mind you I DID NOT MIND PAYING THE EXTRA MONEY. If she would have said oh you want that I can do that and just charged me for the work she had done. But no they kept picking at the fact that it was a mani. Even came to asking a customer waiting you want a mani right not fake then they all laughed. Who does that?!? Did not help me but my sandals on or apologized. I've worked in customer service and this was horrible. Unsanitary I saw them use a dirty towel on a customer with pink nail polish. read more
